The highly anticipated GTA V is due for release on September 17, 2013, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In November 2012, Rockstar revealed that releases for the PC and Wii U were "up for consideration". However, no further comment has been made regarding these platforms.

Can't wait, I played through GTA4 twice choosing alternative paths each time. Loved the game and can't wait for this one. Be interesting to see what kind of multiplayer it will have too.

Did the same thing with the GTA IV story.

And as for the multiplayer, that's what I'm really curious about. We all know GTA will kill it on the story side, but I just hope the multiplayer gets a ton of focus like 4. Give me a quality free roam in GTAV and I will be happy. I still play GTAIV online regularly, and so do a lot of people surprisingly.

I Didn't like GTA IV because of it's too realistic approach to the game. Haven't been catching up on the update of GTA V news, but I hope they at least incorporate some of things to do in Gta SA. And for God sakes, I hope nobody of the likes of Niko shows up in this game.
can't wait though. The trailer did look bad ass.

I didn't like GTA 4 because the driving and the shooting were very poorly implemented and felt outdated.

I appreciate the amount of content and value Rockstar puts in the title and I can bear with the sub-par storytelling, but it's very important that the core mechanics are fun and well executed.

I love the driving in GTA 4, I think they absolutely nailed it. The physics and driving mechanics are so much more realistic in GTA 4 than any other sandbox game I have ever played. It should be difficult to weave in and out of traffic while firing a machine gun out your window.

I would agree that the shooting mechanics were garbage, but driving is my favorite part about GTA 4.

I liked the shooting in GTA 4.

It felt kind of awkward to me. I thought the shooting was greatly improved in red dead redemption though, so I have no doubt that the shooting mechanics in GTA 5 will be good.

Agreed.

They got Max Payne 3 out, next stop is GTA 5 and hopefully Red Dead will be the next big project for Rockstar. Love that game!

Which is probably why GTA will have a strong focus on multiplayer from now on.

Saints Row is the better sandbox franchise IMO. Saints Row, the original, was the best of it's genre that I've played on a next-gen (or this current) system.

I liked GTA IV but I didn't like how they took out some of the cool parts of the game that they had in the past GTA games like batons for cops, chainsaws, etc.

This game should be sick, I'm looking forward to it.

Rockstar released the new imagery in its latest Asked & Answered session in response to the question, "“Why don’t you give us more news [on GTA V]?”

"We are sorry if you find this frustrating," said Rockstar,"but please understand, we don’t do this because we ‘don’t care about our fans' 'don’t respect our fans’ 'hate GTA fans etc' – precisely the opposite! We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it.

"We just have not been in a position to show more of the game than the trailer and will not be for a while yet."

Below is the first image 'smuggled' out of the studio:

http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/stg.ign.com/2012/07/newswire_13421004331-610x343.jpg

But the "art team said that no single shot could encapsulate the game properly, so they gave us another...", and here it is:

http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/stg.ign.com/2012/07/newswire_13421004641-610x343.jpg

And that's our lot for now, though Rockstar said, "We will try and get some more screens for you soon and then another trailer when we are ready."

Hopefully they're working hard at keeping hackers at bay online. That was and still is a problem with GTA IV's online.

Two garbage screen shots just doesn't do it. If they wanted to give 100% information, why release an annoucement trailer so soon? If it was going to take this long, might as well just release a statement confirming they're working on the game and around this time release the trailer.

It is what it is. I'm done caring until there's a date, at least a month and year. +rep for posting the news and shots, heavincent.

Now we won't hear anything for at least 5 more months. Those 2 screenshots was basically Rockstar's way of telling us to piss off.

It's cool though. They're just building up hype. Plus it must take an eternity to design these giant open world games.

And by the way, Rockstar pretty much confirmed that there will be another Red Dead game. Quote from Rockstar:

[QUOTE]Awesome, we love Red Dead too

After playing sleeping dogs they (GTA) needs to fix the fighting and make it more fun. It feels sometimes like it's too much for them to fix things like that.

I'd have logged over 15 days in MW3. I have played all the COD since COD 4 and the games have been running in the same old engine and same format since COD 4. They just polished the games but you can't polish something that's already rusty.

Anyway yes its true that some old games may be better than new ones. But its because the new ones you may be comparing to (in this case COD) are old games(down the core) too. Same with the GTA series. If GTA 4 was on the market under another name and developer back when R* was releasing the old trilogy GTA 4 will outsell and out perform both of them since people will look for GTA 4 standards

About the economy, Dan Houser says: "You will be able to spend money to buy interesting and fun things like expensive toys. We are still working on the economy but it will be a strong element in the game and players will be eager to make money to spend money. Something along the lines of "I went through all of this to make all this money and now I'm going to spend it on this crazy item."

[QUOTE]Dear all

Today, we have an official release date to share with you: Grand Theft Auto V will arrive in stores on September 17, 2013.

We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.

To all Grand Theft Auto fans, please accept our apologies for the delay, and our promise that the entire team here is working very hard to make the game all it can be. We are doing all we can to help ensure it will meet if not exceed your expectations come September

i never got too into the story. i was pretty deep into it but never ended up finishing it.

however everything else around the world is what made me continue to play. i spent countless hours just screwing around, doing little missions, finding a certain car, whatever. it was fantastic and hope nobody ever overlooks gta4 because they didnt like the main storyline.

Game was great and the multiplayer was fun even tho the use of turbo controllers invaded the lobbies. I beat it twice. Had no problem going thru it a second time. Toss in lost and damned plus ballad of gay tony (real good). It wasnt SA but still good. I hope they bring back cops n crooks in the new game.

Really interested to see what changes, enhancements were made in multiplayer.

GTA4 was the only reason I got an xbox 360. If not for this game I would have never got one. Crazy to think about that now.

Seems weird for such a major release to be theoretically layed out only a few months before the release of the new systems that won't be backward comptable.

Well, you know most of the sales of any title come within the first few months after the release, so maybe it's not so weird after all.

Well, you know most of the sales of any title come within the first few months after the release, so maybe it's not so weird after all.

But a game of this scope, a lot of people won't have it beaten by the time the new system's break. And they'll lose a lot of that word of mouth pub that comes after that first month.

And with people budgeting for the new systems. The younger gamers will be holding out for Christmas, and they'll very likely blow their XMas wad on the new system.

I don't know. It won't affect me, but I feel like it'll definitely affect the overall numbers. And god forbid that September date slips a month.

And mostly it seems odd to me that Rockstar wouldn't have developed this for the new hardware. I'm sure they were given the stuff to work with. And I'm surprised Sony/Microsoft didn't push Rockstar to make this a co-op release, because that would have been a perfect storm of sales.

And those of you saying GTA IV was boring.. Wow! I've never heard/read that before. That game is so good that I've played it all the way through twice. The story line is great IMO, & all the small activities to do on the side kept me hooked for weeks, if not months.

I don't think I've dedicated more play time into one game than I did for GTA 4... Except maybe 2K13. :oldlol:

Games this big never get released launch window. Rockstar sold 10 million copies of GTA4 during the first three months. Sony and Microsoft would be doing very well to put about half that many consoles on shelves during that period.

So really, best case scenario for them if they release GTA5 on the new systems? They sell less than half the games they would like to. The sales potential on the old consoles is simply so much higher.

The way I see it, the best way to handle this would be to release GTA5 on old gen as planned and then release a "complete edition" for the new consoles and PC a year or two years later. Sell the same game twice.

Didn't see this posted already. These features will make this the best GTA ever, maybe best game ever........

Summary

Features

You can buy property; houses, garages, businesses and marinas can all be purchased for extra revenue sources.
You can pick up hitchikers, do stunt jumps and flying challenges, take part in yoga, golf, tennis, bike races and triathlons.
iFruit, the game's new phone, can be used to snap pictures and upload them to Rockstar's Social Club
The phone also has apps. In addition to the camera there is internet, contacts, social media, a calendar, and a replay missions app. There are three more Rockstar hasn't yet revealed.
A combat roll has been introduced for moving between cover
Liquor store and ATM robberies is possible.
Side missions will be making a return. One would involve Michael in Vinewood Boulevard racing a starlet away from the paparazzi.
Citizens will react to what you do, and if they see you robbing someone they could alert the police, film you, or even try to take you down themselves.
Hunting animals.

Customization

Player customization - tattoos, haircuts, clothing
Vehicle customization - paintjobs, wheels, window tints, grills, spoilers, along with robust performance upgrades to suspension, engine, brakes, and more that make meaningful changes to the way vehicles feel and handle
Weapon customization - Silencers, scopes, extended mags, laser sights, and more

Police Encounters:

The classic wanted system will be making a return - with five stars instead of the usual six.

They make the police encounters sound better, too. In this new game, we can still try to escape the circular zone that flashes on the mini-map when cops come after our malcontent protagonist(s). But, this time, we'll be able to try to hide inside that alarm radius, if we'd like. The cops will use a line-of-sight system, so they won't just magically know where you are. If they have a helicopter in the sky, they'll be able to see plenty. And you'll see them use hand signals to communicate what they're doing.
- Kotaku

Skill Categories:

Each character is rated in a series of skill categories: Stamina, Shooting, Strength, Stealth, Flying, Driving, Mechanic, Lung Capacity.
Each character has a 'Special': Franklin is an adrenalin junkie and can slow down time while driving; Trevor has a frenzy mode, where he does double damage, takes half damage, and has a unique melee attack; Michael has his own version of bullet time
Specials are governed by a meter, it drains after use and recharges slowly
Other skill categories are shared and can be improved by completing missions, side missions, activities and more
Trevor will always be the best pilot, Franklin will always be the best driver but each can improve their proficiency a little
One of the skill categories is stealth, suggesting players will be able to take different approaches to missions

Map

Similar to previous GTAs, the map isn't landlocked (surrounded by water).
The map 3.5 times the size of Red Dead Redemption in terms of playable area above ground. Five times if you count underwater area.
The geographical scope is huge and spans:
Mountains
Rivers
Lakes
Military bases
Farmland
Desert
Dense urban environments...and more
An underwater ecosystem exits, "the sea is teaming with fish and sharks"
A deer and a wildcat were spotted in the mountains.
Treasures can be found underwater, but NPCs will be looking for them too
Shipwrecks, sharks, hidden treasures and more could be found underwater
The entire world is populated with fitting wildlife and inhabitants unique to specific areas

Heists/missions

'Mini heists' are used to teach the player about preparation. Players must secure vehicles, outfits, masks, the getaway vehicle.
These build up to a bigger heist where the execution must be flawless. They'll require the right crew (which you can recruit) and players will have to decide on the cheap option, which results in less skilled people, or paying more for skilled crew members that will take a larger cut of the money.
These additional characters will be able to specialize in different areas such as wheelman, gunman, technician, and so on.
Hiring the same crew members across several heists (assuming they survive) will allow their skills to improve
There will be visual and audio alerts from your other characters so you're not completely caught off guard in case things get hairy.
You can attack targets by stealth or brute force. This will affect the content of the heist.
A huge payout to split between the crew
After-action report that tallies your total cash haul, each surviving member's cut, and any profit you managed to earn

Refinements to combat:

Weapon selection has been overhauled: You now select your weapons from a weapon wheel.
Fluidly run and gun from the hip while still maintaining complete control of the reticule
'Combat jog' that allows you to move at high speeds with your weapon out, but not raised.
Camera pulled back when zoomed in over the shoulder to open up players' field of vision
Combat roll to move strategically from cover and evade incoming fire
Reticule switches from white to red to identity an enemy
Tiny 'X' flashes over the reticule when targeted enemy is killed
Variable targeting options including free aim, soft lock, and hard lock (similar to Max Payne 3)
Smoother transitions when moving in and out of cover

General

The character selection wheel is split into four triangles: Franklin, Trevor, Michael, and your multiplayer character
Some boats will include gear such as wetsuit, flippers and tanks for diving
GTAV rewards exploration, there's no signposting underwater, so you'll have to find the treasure the hard way
Dives won't offer massive payoffs, but will "help grease the wheels"
Pressing Down on the d-pad will drop the play in and out of multiplayer.
There are subtle differences in the way each character moves to reflect their personalities; Michael is slower and deliberate.
Rockstar says there will be five times as many pedestrians in GTAV as there were in Grand Theft Auto IV
There's a "crazy level of detail": Tourist buses can be boarded for a tour of celebrity homes, film posters are plastered on the walls, men in comedy costumes try to corner you outside the Cathay Theatre, including the Superman-like Impotent Rage and Master Chief riff, Space Ranger.
You can switch between Franklin, Trevor and Michael during a cutscene, manually, or automatically when the AI takes control for you
Each character has a job to do, how much you switch yourself in or let the computer do, is entirely up to you
If you die the game reloads to the last checkpoint, even if two other characters are alive
Although it's up to the player when they switch, dialogue will suggest ideal moments. For example, when Michael and Franklin are being overwhelmed by snipers, Michael might ask for Trevor's help.
There is a wider field of vision, and players can run-and-gun
There are some restrictions to character switching, such as how you can't abandon a character while you have a Wanted Level. Lose the heat first! The character selection meter will let you know when you can swap out.
Michael's obsession with classic films translates into in-game set pieces based on real world movies. In the demo the three characters mount a heist very similar to the one from Heat.

Fun Facts:

Franklin alone has more textures than the entire ped population of GTA: San Andreas
Largest selection of vehicles in any GTA game
Largest selection of weapons in any GTA game

If the combat is decent and fun for a change I'm on board fully with this.

The stuff I keep hearing about the story is bringing me down though. Rockstar these past years always seems to take on these super ambitious plots and themes that are simply way beyond their ability to actually pull off in a way that doesn't induce massive cringe.

There is too many changes that is making me super excited for this game to come out. Biggest of them all is the shooting mechanics. I hated GTA 4 (and previous installments) for their weak shooting/cover system. With a more refined story, Max Payne 3 could have been a top 3 game of All-Time to me mostly because of its shooting mechanics. Now if GTA will use a similar system, this game might elevate the standard by which all games are measured.

The only thing that scares me is having 3 protagonists. It just sounds like you might miss out key areas to the story. For example, when you're using Michael; you might miss out parts of the story from Franklin and Trevor's view point. I like to be in control of the story and would hate to miss key moments of the game because I'm playing with a different character at the moment. They haven't revealed enough details for me to conclude that this will indeed happen, but it would definitely ruin the game for me a lot if that was to happen.

Everything I wanted changed from GTA 4 has been changed, it really is incredible; it's like Rockstar entered my mind and fixed every thing about the game I didn't like from GTA 4. The scary part is GTA 4 is easily one of the ten greatest games ever created; GTA 5 might surpass Uncharted for best game ever created in my book.

September might seem far away but the Last of Us is coming out in June so that will definitely keep me occupied until September considering the game is supposed to be very long with alternative endings. It's also an exploration type of game and strategy is key, so I'll definitely be busy mastering it until September.

Am I the only one that was really impressed with the mechanics for golf and tennis? It looked pretty detailed for something that is just there for an off-story recretional activity. They really put a lot of love into everything it seems, I am so excited. I'm too overwhelmed with what I saw, it just looks better then anything I have ever seen (including The Last of Us).

I see a lot of resemblance from previous installments with the three leading characters.

Mike = Vice City
Trevor = GTA 4
Franklin = San Andreas

The characters just fit those themes to me, anyone else?
My favorite part of the trailers was definitely Franklin shooting a bunch of guys. Looked so fluid and thrilling; my biggest disappointment with ALL of the GTA games was the actual mechanics (shooting and movement). I always thought they were pretty stagnant. Max Payne had the perfect mechanics for a 3rd person shooter and it looks like GTA V implemented that, which I'm thrilled about. That is what will make this the greatest game of all-time. We are all familiar with content, presentation, soundtrack, story line etc. but the one thing GTA always lacked in enjoyable game play and it looks like they have finally nailed it.

- Biggest map ever
- More content then in San Andreas
- Improved game-play

Hopefully the soundtrack is as enjoyable as Vice City was and the city is as authentic as Vice City was. The story-line I'm sure will be epic once again and the presentation from the trailers looks top-notch.

This game is incredibly ambitious; I love the theme (bank-robberies) and actually bringing realism to the game by building your own crew and strategizing.

I ****ing can't wait.

The fact that either this or The Last of Us will be the second best game of the year, is true astonishing.

It also makes me a little sad that we're already pushing out a new generation of consoles. It feels like we're just starting to see these things pushed to capacity.

Now we're getting knew consoles for what? So my facebook friends can see that I spent all of Saturday night playing a game about mushroom zombies? I can live without that happening. Faster load times? Cloud storage?
I'm only sort of kidding. And I'll have a PS4 pre-ordered along with Watchdogs.

But really, stuff just continues to get better on these systems, and not just in terms of my taste, which both of these hit, but what these companies are doing technically, just with the size and scope, and cinematically with their camera work, is all just worlds better it's ever been.

The details you can pick up on just this short vid are rediculous. Rhythmic mentioned how good the tennis and golf looked. The golf thing had a topspin control on screen. It could be as advanced as a real golf sim. And the quick shot of the cycling showed a stamina bar, making it look like that could even be the best road cycling sim ever.

I agree that the most exciting bit was watching the black guy (Franklin?) walk toward that factory looking building and seamlessly knock off those three guys shooting at him as he approached. The camera work looked flawless, and if they can nail that, the impact of the combat will be an enormous upgrade. I never played Max Payne, but if that's the spawn of this combat change, god bless it.

I still have some mild concerns, but I'd rather have them then know anymore, and they're all sort of taste driven storytelling type concerns. I'm not sure how crazy I'll be about the triple protaganist, especially of such archetype sort of characterizations. And the exploration is always the thing I loved most about these types of games, and I love the apparently the whole map is available right off the bat, and I can totally see myself driving around for that first week just finding little horseshit collectables, and doing side missions. But I do fear that it may wind up being too big. But as far as concerns, that's a short and frankly piceune list.

And I'm not even remotely an online type of player, but even I could get behind just exploring the city with a bunch of other people.

I'm a huge MSG fan, but at this point they're almost closer to movies than they are to video games. MSG IV is without a doubt the game with the longest cutscene time I've ever seen in my life.

Games like BioShock Infinite & TLoU don't come out every 2 months, we're lucky to have games of that caliber every 3 years. In regards to TLoU, once every decade.

Uhm, if San Andreas was released this year; it wouldn't beat The Last of Us bro. So unless you're that confidant that GTA V will be better then San Andreas (best GTA to date), then it ain't beating TLoU.

But I hope you're right man. This game looks so promising. The shooting mechanics...I literally jizz my pants every time I watch that scene where Franklin is shooting like 7 dudes off the roofs in 3 seconds flat. :biggums:

This game will be better than San Andreas. It already has a bunch of things SA fanboys cried about when GTA 4 dropped. The graphics are better, shooting is better, playing with 3 characters where you can even switch back/forth between each one during a missing objective. Vehicles are better. :confusedshrug:

And we havent even begun to talk multiplayer. SA is outdated it wouldnt beat alot of games now.

Like I said, it looks VERY promising but we still have to see if it is executed properly. TLoU is a nearly perfect game, execution wise. GTA is far more ambitious as a game, so a lot more can go wrong.

I am hopeful man. These two could potentially be the best games I've ever played and they are released within 6 months of each other.

San Andreas was my all-time favorite game until Uncharted 2 was released, I beat that game at least 10 times and it takes at least a week to beat the story. Our preferences are obviously different but TLoU is pretty much the best game ever developed to me.

There's a killer travelogue type site Rockstar has put together with tons of video, stills, and info on Los Santos. Breaks down the city by travel, politics, shopping, etc., and puts them together like a travel guide. Just a bit of info on each, nothing spoilerish. And they haven't completed it, they're going to keep adding content until the release. Really cool content.

Any of you guys are as excited as I am about Rockstar incorporating the Max Payne 3 shooting mechanics into this game? The biggest problem I had with previous instalments is the movement & shooting of the playable characters. Especially in GTA 4, the movement was so stiff and the shooting didn't flow smooth nor free to me. It didn't even make me feel like I was actually shooting the enemies since I didn't feel like I had total control (like in Uncharted or Max Payne 3).

indeed...

Hideo Kojima has revealed he's depressed by the quality of Grand Theft Auto V, as he doesn't think Metal Gear Solid V will be able to measure up to it.

Taking to his Twitter, the legendary game designer expressed his admiration for Rockstar and said the studio's upcoming game would raise the bar for all other developers.

Poor Kojima! And his concerns reflect a dialogue in the industry at the moment that GTA V could seriously affect the early sales of next-gen consoles, due to its (at the moment theoretical) sheer brilliance.

Wow, this game is going to be phenomenal. Rockstar put some serious effort into to all sorts of small details.

Take vehicles, for example. Now that player-owned vehicles occupy a permanent place in the world--they no longer disappear into the ether when you leave them somewhere--you can insure your fleet of cars to make sure all the money you've spent on upgrading them doesn't go to waste should you happen to encounter any wayward rockets. Things are sure to get even more interesting sometime after launch when the stock market is implemented: Instead of protecting cars, you'll be able to engage in a bit of lighthearted market manipulation by investing your money in a car manufacturer and running around town destroying every one of those models you come across. Suddenly that company is going to be pumping out a whole lot of new cars. Nice time to be a stockholder, eh?

Even those familiar investments, like purchasing an apartment, have been reworked and expanded for GTA Online. Say you're hanging out in your high-rise apartment enjoying the view down below. You spot a flurry of red and blue lights in the distance and decide to see what's going on. So you switch on your TV, tune into the news, and suddenly you're watching your friend fleeing from the police in real-time thanks to the news helicopter flying directly above him. Beyond little touches like this, you can use your apartment for more practical uses, as well--like getting your friends together to go over the details of a heist in your planning room or keeping a watchful eye on your 10-car garage using a closed-circuit security camera feed. Hell, you can even take a shower to wash off the blood after a particularly brutal mission. It's borderline ridiculous just how much Rockstar has done with these player-owned properties.

Well, I don't think there will be any major issues for two main reasons:

1) It's Rockstar, arguably the best developer in the business.
2) It took them over 5 years to develop this game, so obviously they took their time to build such an ambitious project.

This is like San Andreas only bigger, way nicer graphics, even more content, and far better gameplay mechanics from the looks of things.

Like someone else mentioned, this is literally all genre of games in one.
I just WISH we could play basketball, or soccer...that would have been so ****ing incredible!

It just seems like there has to be a catch because it appears it'll be so incredible.

One of my real worries is my zip drive. I've never used anything but my 360 harddrive to store data but GTA V will require an 8GB download on startup, and I'm out of room, so I'm going zip. Does the zip work seamlessly in that regard? If it's plugged in, will the game recognize it immediately? Never any problems?

Also like more details on online. Is it going to be like RDR? Because that game you could do missions, bounty hunt, play poker, deathmatch. A host of things in the free world as you roam to specific destinations to fire up a game mode solo or in a clan. Also will the clan/crew work similar to RDR? GTA Online comes free with retail copies of GTA V, and launches on October 1st (after the release of the game on Sept. 17)
The following is from CVG's hand's on experience with GTA Online. A link to the video is posted below.
Characters from GTA V will appear in GTA Online
GTA Online will not always be limited to Los Santos; additional locations are in the works
CVG says you can do anything in GTA Online that you can do in GTA V. They list the following: heists, co-op missions, gang attacks, death matches, impromptu deathmatch, races, tennis, golf, base jumping, shooting range, ambient events (hold ups of stores, armored van robberies, crate drops, import/export missions involving car theft, bounties that you can set on other players and people can claim), betting
If you are killed while holding money (CVG says 1million as an example) you will lose a large portion of it, and others can steal it. Use banks to keep money safe
An in-game smartphone can call your friends whether they are in GTA Online or GTA V. You can also use this to set waypoints for your friends. While using the phone, your avatar moves their lips with yours.
While you are driving, you can choose to grant someone else permission over the radio
In-game AI will respond to how aggressive you are on your mic (as in, if you're shouting during a robbery, the AI will react and speed up/become more frightened)
Whoever sets up a heist decides who gets what cut of the final money when that money is obtained
Garages range from two car ports to 10 car ports
Cars can have retractable roofs controlled by the player
Missions can be accessed by physical markers or through a quickmatch sort of menu
User-made missions can be favorited and rated
You can assign other players certain roles in missions based on the particular abilities they have leveled up
You can share cash and ammunition with other players
There are stealth kill animations, possibly with a knife. The game tracks the amount of noise your character is making, and the AI will respond accordingly
You can steal physical items. During the demo, a mission was done in which a bike warehouse was robbed. The bikes had to be transported out in a large truck
"RP" are the points you get to level up your character
You can use physical gestures, such as flipping the bird
All of your info/communications in the game appear in the "Feed." Rockstar mentioned this as a sort of Twitter for GTA Online
You can purchase insurance for your car. By insuring your vehicle, if it gets destroyed or stolen, you can have it replaced by paying a small premium
Police helicopters have cameras mounted to the front of them. In real time, you can watch on live TV (on the news channel in your apartment) players with a high wanted level being chased by the police. There are additional channels with programs such as a crime noir show
Heists can have up to 20 different components. A heist is mentioned where a Titan (largest aircraft) is guarded by "Maryweather" (sp?). The Titan is indeed a flyable aircraft
There is a heli-pad on the roof of (at least) the largest AmmuNation and the store can also be accessed from there
Off the west coast of Los Santos, there is an another island with lots of buildings. This has not been seen before, but the folks at CVG saw it from afar
There is a "passive" mode where you cannot shoot or be shot
Your online world will always be populated with by 16 human players. You can still have friends in the game with you, but the other slots will fill up with random people around the same reputation level, as well
there's some new info in there. 16 player limit is weak though

GTA 5 will. It does everything GTA SA does and more.

Get out of here with the nostalgia crap. I remember people were saying, "Nothing beats GTA III" when San Andreas came out.

"It happened in my childhood/younger days; therefore, it's better."

Get over yourself. GTA V is going to blow the doors off any game ever made. No joke. It's also looking as though Watch Dogs will be amazing as f*ck, too.

Well, San Andreas did have Casinos.
But Las Venturas will not be part of GTA V, so I don't expect Casino's to return. SA also had gyms & food (nutrition). I am not aware that GTA V will have that either, although it probably will.

GTA V looks unparallel to anything I've anticipated before.
More so then TLoU, Uncharted 3 or Red Dead.

This game just looks like pure filth.

1) Huge world
2) 3 characters
3) Separate entity (GTA Online)
4) Tennis & Golf (plus other fun recretional activities)
5) opportunity to hike, explore underwater & hunt
6) By far the best mechanics (driving, movement, combat & shooting)
7) Dogs!!

I mean those 7 things are something no other GTA has ever done, point #6 excites me the most alongside GTA online.

This game just looks too good to be true!

It is cool that there will be stocks and real estate investment capabilities too in order to build your fortune.

Yeah bro.
I just love how they've implemented the entire socio-economic ladder into the game. I mean apparently, you can be worth over a billion dollars. You can buy business & property (to increase your revenue stream), be a criminal and rob banks etc., invest in stock (and manipulate it).

But most importantly, this time around your funds will actually help you become a success & therefore increase your socio-economic status. The condos you buy (or the beach houses), mansions, cars, boats & planes are far more detailed now. The apartments are so rich now. You have plasma's TVs, hopefully pool tables & darts, balconies, furniture and garages. I mean the stuff they've done with this game is incomprehensible to me.

How is that even possible? How do they have enough memory to do that?
Just nuts.

This game will prevent me from buying NBA 2K14, Saints Row IV, Assassin's Creed IV, and pretty much the entire PS4 & its game offerings for a long time to come.

About SRIV, I know I can get it this month, but I just don't feel like dedicating any time to it before GTA V comes out.

I've been playing GTA IV a lot lately in anticipation to this game.

If this game flops, it'd probably be the biggest disappointment in gaming history :oldlol:

getting it on the 360...

I always hoped GTA would incorporate a sports arena with live games ( buying a ticket to watch a game of bball or football)..it would be cool to be able to walk onto the field while the game is played...

I'm actually excited for Deathmatches. I think that will be the first thing I do to get a feel for the shooting mechanics. That's one thing I didn't do enough in GTA IV, ranked Deathmatches. Really helped for leveling up, but I was so stuck on free mode I learned everything slowly but surely.

I doubt I finish the story mode for at least 6 months, maybe even longer. I tend to just give a shit about playing online now days, and now they've incorporated story to the online, so that's just nuts.
