Well Id give Kobe credits for the last two rings, but yeah the first three were just gifts from a supreme dominant prime Shaq. It was basically his one man show in this three-peat.

I like how everybody conveniently forgets that Shaq was swept out of the playoffs two years in a row before Kobe became a starter and Phil Jackson came along. This despite having 2 all star teammates.

I also like how everybody conveniently forgets shaq's utter dominance & sheer beastiality force of nature dunks in 3 consequitive finals over Rick smits, old motombo & god knows who Nets had at center.

Shaq's supreme dominance of center position for LAL gave Chokbe & co 3 straight rings.

Kobe's thick head & pure hate towards shaq costed Shaq & co 2004 NBA ring & Shaq his 4th FMVP.

& all this is forgotten to bump up Kobe into Top 10 GOAT list.

Shaq + LBJ as LAL = 5 rings
Shaq + Wade = 3 rings.

Kobe + Tmac as LAL = 0 rings

Revisionist's history, they remember what they want to remember as long as it discredits Kobe. Let's not talk about how many titles he won in Orlando:rolleyes:

The Lakers are far from an afterthought. They make something out of this mess eventually. Barring a career ending injury, Kobe will eventually get another title. It's only a matter of time.

It took some real skill on your part for you to chose to be a fan of a winning franchise. I guess I should become a Spurs fan to be more winning? KOBE GETS 6TH RING AT AGE 58
Published: JULY 25, 2037 11:20 pm

http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o222/tmedny20/kobeold.jpg

It may have taken 27 years, since his last championship, but Kobe Bryant has finally tied Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant and current Iraqi born, Seattle Crabcatchers superstar Mohammed Jassim Ali, for six NBA championships. Although the picture above shows the 58 year old Kobe Bryant celebrating after scoring a bucket against his own team, due to an ongoing bout with Alzheimers, his coach stated, he just enjoyed Kobe showing that old school fire, that still burns inside. The Los Angeles Lakers had already built a comfortable 18 point lead, prior to Kobe being put in the game, during the final 37 seconds, of the fourth quarter. Kobe fired off 5 shots in that time and 2 of them were at the wrong basket. Lakers Coach Andrew Bynum stated he just wanted to let the elderly Kobe get in the game, once things were in hand.

Whats all this hoopla specificially about a 6th ring? Why not 7? Why not 10..... but 6?

The only solution i can come up with is that in some Kobetards minds that might tie him with Jordan or at least you might say: "Well, Kobe has 6 rings to!"... Well let me tell you something, Jordan is where he is not because of the 6 team accomplishments but because of the VALUE/CONTEXT of those 6 team accomplishments.... he was the MVP/FMVP over and over, DPOY, dropping otherworldly numbers & domination upon the league during those Championships and taking the sport to a whole different level, not to mention being the most overall productive player in NBA history............ Kobe... can have as many rings as he wishes.... he will NEVER go anywhere close to Jordan, especially considering the current stage he is at right now only dropping a few points here there with lousy efficiency until retirement while that behemoth in Miami has set himself up for a very dominant future, including Durant and his team...

I just think its going to be pretty hard for him to do that, with OKC sitting there young and getting better. He would need a dominant superstar to help him get past OKC, and imo, he would need to become less ball dominant and pick his spots to go off in. Maybe I'm wrong but, I think its going to be difficult for him to accomplish Number 6

Kobe can only win rings with Dominant Big Men to negate his mistakes.

Kobe ball & kobe centric offense will destroy LBJs impact on the game.

Both are antidotes. Kobe wants to ballhog. LBJ dont.

LBJ wanna run & push the ball down the court. Kobe wants to hold it & post up as much from perimeter.

I can see Kobe + LBJ making to NBA Finals but wont win a ring.

like I said, Kobe centric offense will be self destructive for LBJ & LAL co particularly in finals series when opposition will be playing full on team Bball & LAL will be playing Kobe "hero" ball ignoring LBJ.

I don't think so because Lebron 'Butterfingers' James or LBJ as people affectionately call him will need someone to help him in the fourth quarter when he sh1ts himself when is time to take the last shot as Wade has done everytime this year to save his cowardly indecisive ass. Remember behind every great player there is a LBJ behind them. Just ask Jordan.
