Since there is so many fans of this sport here, what about we create a thread to predict the results of games like some kind of fantasy league?



The system is simple:

- Post all the games of the 1st round.
- Bold the teams you think it will win or bold both if you think it will be a draw in those matches.
- Post the correct score of the game.
- And post one guy that you think it will score in that game (you can just choose one guy, and if you think it will be a 0-0 just write NONE).

Example:
France 1 x Italy 0 - Benzema

Points:
- 20 points if you have the correct prediction.
- 10 points for correct score of that match.
- 5 points if you have the correct player who scored.

The most you can have is 35 points per match.

Maga, I don't know if you guys have been through this already, but wouldn't it be more reasonable if we got more points for the more difficult things to guess?


Now it's the other way around:

20 points for the outcome
10 points for the exact score
5 points for the scorers


I would do:

Scorers are almost pure luck, so it's not really good to give most points for that. I'm for current system, it seems good...

Yeah but it's a matter of pure maths imo:

Chance to pick an outcome = one out of 3 (1-X-2)
Chance to pick a scorer = one out of 24 (players on the field incl. 2 substitutes)
Chance to pick the precise score = one out of 25 at least (assuming scores with more than 4 goals per side are negligible)

The odds that you guess the outcome out of pure luck are way higher than the rest.
That's why I wouldn't give so many points for that.

I agree with you to some extent, but giving 20 points for scorers is crazy imo. I'd be ok with giving more points for the correct score, but guessing who will score should only be like few bonus points...
