I don't give a shit what any expert says, especially Stephen A Smith, He said the Celtics were going to close it out in Game 6 even though he wanted the Heat to win. Just stupid with the predictions already and let the game be played.

No one wins, as LeBron shoots the go ahead three in game 7 with 1.5 seconds left an asteroid hits OKC and they all are dead. LeBron dies ringless.

Same guy that said the Heat were done after the Celtics won game 5.
Same guy that stated, on FirstTake, his predictions were wrong.
OKC is deadly, but if Miami's big 3 play like they did tonight, I think they'll beat OKC in 7.

2-3-2 format. Miami wins game 1, loses game 2. Miami wins game 3 and 4, loses 5, wins game 6. Lebron wins his first ring. Book it.

OKC wins game 1 in a blowout.
OKC wins game 2 in a fairly close game
Miami wins game 3 in a blowout.
OKC wins game 4 in comeback fashion was down 8-10 with 5 minutes left.
OKC wins game 5 by 10 in control the whole game and holds off a heat rally late.

I hate the 2-3-2 format. I always felt like it favors the underdog team and puts the home team under immense pressure to hold homecourt in the first 2.

If Bosh is completely healthy and ready to start, Heat in 6.

tbh, it's a win-win situation for Miami, if they win the Finals then they've accomplished their goal, if they lose they can get rid of Spoelstra and hopefully go after Jerry Sloan.

Thats my prediction too, Obviously Bosh will need to play well and at least match Harden's production and get something out of the role players.
Durant is the only guy who can match Lebron point for point which is a problem for Miami as normally Lebron stands out and produces more than the other teams best player which gives Miami an edge.

I agree with the prediction. OKC is a VERY difficult arena to play in, will probably get as many free throws as the Heat, and I just don't see Miami sweeping their home games. Also, the Thunder are deeper, wouldn't run out of gas like the Celtics did at the end, and Durant's probably the best closer in the game right now. Sure, LeBron was great in game 6 and the end of game 7 but those are two of the very few times he's come up big in pressure situations since joining the Heat when it mattered.

One thing going against the Heat is that they're only going to have a two day rest before the finals start, while OKC will be pretty much completely fresh.

Everybody knows that he's pretty tight with the Heat players. He's been pulling for the Heat all along and pretends to predict that the other team will win as an attempt to rile up the Heat (as in the case with game 6 in the Celts series).

People really need to stop having this theory that the league badly want him to win. If they did he would of won it last year.

It's the other way around. It's harder for the team without HCA to win 3 in a row at home, and the likely closeout game for them (game 6) is played on the road. In the 2-2-1-1-1 format the Heat would have a chance to close out in Miami if the Thunder win 2 games, rather than in OKC.

It does favour the home team as stats show the team with HCA in the finals have won 20 out of 27.

That's a serious non issue at this point. If OKC was going to get shook in these playoffs, that would've already happened when they were down 0-2 to the Spurs. This team has the mental toughness it takes to win the title this year.

Thunder are very young but they are battle tested from 2010 Vs L.A and then last year making the conference finals after winning a game 7 at home in the 2nd round and giving Dallas all they could handle last year...they have paid their dues.

That doesn't neccesseraly explain it. The team with HCA is most likely the better team to start with so you would expect them to win the series anyway.

True, but saying the 2-3-2 format favors the team without HCA has nothing to back it up at all.

I agree, and it just wreaks of Heat bias, for anybody to say that they'll supposedly crack under the pressure of the Finals.

That would be a valid point, only that Lebron stood around for nearly the entire series, waiting for the title to fall in his lap? :confusedshrug:
The league does want Lebron to win a title. But Id say the league equally wants Durant to win one also. I can see how the league sees a money train with the thunder, Durant winning and being the next golden child, good for the NBA image etc etc. Plus the good vs evil scenario that would play out, with Heat and thunder meeting each other in the finals year after year.

Completely agree, it happened to the Celtics against the Lakers. Games 6 and 7 on the Lakers court was a big problem for them.

nope, i am pretty sure okc defense is as good as heats defense. once okc made their adjustments, they made an offensive juggernaut look lost (spurs). the heat were giving up 60 pt halves to the celtics. sure they shut them down 2nd half but the celtics have shitty offense most of the time anyway.
okc defense is pretty much lockdown defense once the game is on the line.
i sure hope stephen A is right... i dont care about the stupid ballridin mind games he plays with the heat because he is gay for them.

this is a toss up. I don't think people have seriously considered Bosh's impact on the Heat. That's the only reason the Heat have labored through this postseason. They are 7-2 with him and 1 of those losses was partly because Spo didn't play Bosh an entire 2nd half.
Bosh is definitely ready to play in this series and that changes a lot of things. OKC has the privilege of playing a complete Heat team.
If OKC didn't have HC, they'd lose this series no question. They better hold on to those 2 games at home.

The Thunders must be much better than the Heat in order to win the series. Don't underestimate Stern. He would not let his cash cow fail one more time.
Unless Lebron chokes big time again, my money will be on Miami.
A single game and the spread is hard to pick but the series is locked.

Hell no... Thunders are the same team as the Heats. They just have better players and younger. Heats are done.
