It's never happening if Utah has an NBA team. They already said they aren't letting New Orleans use the name in addition. I really don't care if they did or didn't let them have it, probably good business sense not to let them use it though.

You mean both teams having the name? I never suggested that. There could come a time when the Jazz might have to a new look and a new name. It happens. I'm fairly certain there would be little to no obstacle in giving the name up if Utah wanted to change their name to something else. That's all I'm saying. You're a bit misguided if you think it could never ever ever happen as long as the NBA is in Utah. Obviously, they'd have to agree to it, but it could happen....regardless of any prior agreement/contract/deal.

In what way? By not allowing New Orleans to make money off the Jazz name? That wouldn't matter if Utah also changed its name. That's a non-starter. They don't gain any kind of advantage by not letting New Orleans use the name if they change their name as well. No sense in two teams having the same name.

Utah has adopted the "Jazz" name the same way a Mormom couple adopts a child from another country. Some names don't make much sense for geographical reasons, but when its been around long enough then its hard to make a change. The Jazz name has been in Utah for 33 years now.

I also don't think the Hornets franchise should change their name unless they're making a total change such as going to the "Louisana _______". To my knowledge there has never been a pro sports team who changed their team nickname. I might be wrong on that though.

Having the Charlotte Hornets back would be awesome.
I've gotten used to the Bobcats team name though. I feel like they should change the team colors to actual Bobcat colors. Something with black, light brown. That said, these new jerseys are better than what they have had so far.
