Same here. These aren't the type of kids that "have a bad streak" then grow up to be decent human beings. Something in them just ticks that will likely lead to them being even more despicable human beings as they age unless something steers them in a direction of change. To be as bad as they are already at age 12, I don't have much faith in their parents directing that change, so hopefully making a public display of them will better serve to send them a message. Hopefully they can turn their shit around.

I wouldn't be too surprised if, instead of a bus monitor, the kids did the exact same thing to a homeless guy on the side of a street (which would be REALLY low) then a similar cause might have come up.
