no pun intended

College Standout.

5th pick overall.

NBA All-Star (1996)
All-NBA Third Team (1996)
NBA All-Rookie Second Team (1995)

NBA Champion!

I didn't have him in my top 250 before today. But as of a few seconds ago, I'd put him around #38. A ring's a ring.

he's gotta be top 10! only one of the fab 5 to have a ring. an accomplishment right there to ward off that deadly curse.

I think that's pushing it. Let's see him win one more then we'll talk.

It kind of reminded me of when Darko Milicic broke his wrist airballing a jump shot in garbage time of the '04 Finals clincher.

He's the only member of the Fab 5 to win any post high school championship. That alone plus the way he carried Lebron at the end of game 4 places him in the top 300 all time.

Prime Juwan was a 19-8-3.5 player and he carried LeBron in the 4th quarter of game four. Unfortunately his peak/prime lasted only about four years or so or he'd easily be top 30 all-time with this ring. Instead, he's probably somewhere between 250 and 1,000.

Well I had Damon Stoudamire over him previously. However, Stoudamire never won a ring. So Juwan moves up in that case. Same story in Howard's comparison with Scott Skiles, Sherman Douglas, and Patrick Ewing.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that. He was a pretty consistent 18 and 8 guy through the first 9 years of his career. Plus he's a winner.

Pump the brakes. We're talking one title here. J-Ho Wa is going to need at least one more ring before any of these comparisons hold any weight.

It's not Juwan's fault he had mediocore supporting casts his whole career. He had to suffer through years of carrying scrubs like T-Mac, Yao, LeBron and Wade before he finally got a chance to get his ring. Put him on a better team and he'd have like 8 rings by now.

Dude, rings only matter if you are one of the top few players on the team. You think that ring helps Howard's "legacy" as a bench warmer? :oldlol:

Dude was definitely legit. One of the most important pieces to the Heat championship.

1) When the big 3 goes to the bench, He sits next to them, motivates them, send them into the game furiously to win the game.

2) Shouts at players when they shoot in front of the heat bench. Has been proven to lower opponents field goal % by 7 when Juwan Howard is there.

3) Did we not see who the Heat send out in the final minutes of Game 5. Juwan Howard was out there to seal the deal. Clutch.

How can an NBA Rookie all 2nd team be playing in the league today at age 39? Wasn't the league ultra weak back then? (I'm talking to Kobe fans.)

I wonder how much credit Baylor received in the '72 Lakers title run. He retired after the ninth game of the season. (Incidently, the Lakers immediately went on a 33 game winning streak the very next game after he retired.)

assistent coach right now, working with oden and the other bigs. he's doing a good job from what i heard.

also people forget this guy was a stud in college and had 8 seasons with 17 + points per game and 9 seasons with 7+ rebounds.

in his peak at 22 he had 22.1 / 8.1 / 4.4 on 49 fg%. in todays league with his nice post moves he would be a top player.
