He can think what he wants to think.

If I had to react to that quote, well it makes sense. He had two chances before and failed so ... It's about damn time.

i was hoping for something better/more memorable as his big moment after getting the ring

kg had his anything is possible, wade threw the ball up into the air in 06, kobe had a nice moment in orlando, holding both trophies looking out into the crowd, lebron wont really have that one moment that you think of when somebody will mention him winning this title

I was disappointed it wasn't a better game to be honest, OKC rolled over. I would have been happy for Bron if he hit a few shots to put the game out of reach late in the 4th. As a basketball fan that's what I thought anyway. Not at all mad to see Bron win a ring. Hate seeing Wade get another one tho.

it was a moment of vindication imo and that quote summed it up quite well.

the 'about damn time!' bit?

it was a nice moment, but it wont be looked upon as an iconic moment, like so many other greats have had

"It's about damn time."

I feel the same way, but likely for different reasons. I truly want to be happy for him, and for now, I'll give him his due. He was not the shrinking violet that he's been in the past. Sometimes players and teams have to experience defeat to learn how to be champions and LBJ has been no different in that respect. He earned this one, along with the series MVP, and deserves it.

The others that got away, he (nor his team) didn't earn or necessarily deserve them, but that is a conversation for another day.

On this day, June 21, 2012: Congratulations LeBron, you and your team are NBA Champions for 2012

the 'about damn time!' bit?

it was a nice moment, but it wont be looked upon as an iconic moment, like so many other greats have had

if you take it into the context of the story, it certainly will be iconic.from the decision, the hatred, the failures to win in his career, it will be iconic.

I didnt think kobe holding the two trophies was that big of a moment though.

The only I really remember is Jordan crying because it was first after his father got murdered.

the shit is probably trending on twitter right now. my boy and i making plans to make some t-shirts tomorrow and try to flip em this weekend.

Nah, it would have been better if he said, "I'm going to bring this with me to Cleveland just as I promised," then finished with a wink to the camera.

This is somewhat true, there is a theatrical part of any sport, that probably comes naturally because of the pure emotion that gets attached to every game, and the people that want it the most definitely don't leave anything back when they win it all.

Also Kobe's raising up his hand and motioning "5", "5", after game 7 vs the Celtics was pretty ****ing memorable imo. It was also the first time the Lakers had beat boston in the a game 7 after going 0-4.
