I have a feeling this will be the best album of the summer and one of Nas' best efforts. The production on this album looks incredible. No I.D., fresh off producing Common's eargasm called "The Dreamer, The Believer" is all over this album producing six of the twenty songs. It looks as if Nas has regained his sense of hearing because dude has had one of the most haphazard beat selection histories in history. That's been the number one knock on him his whole career. Other hot producers on this are Boi-1da, 40(two Toronto producers who are some of the best up and coming in the game) and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. I'm really hyped to see what those three do. Justice League has created some of my all-time favorite beats like "Maybach Music III" and "Rich off Cocaine". My favorite Boi-1da beat has to be Big Sean's "My House (http://youtu.be/dMjGQVN8Weg)". 40 produced a lot of Drake's Take Care album, which was in fact a production masterpiece imo. He out did himself on ""Cameras/Good Ones Go" (http://youtu.be/vsqUQmuoGXs).
Outside of the production, I'm interested to see how "Summer on Smash" featuring Miguel and Swizz Beatz works out. Usually whenever Swizz is featured on a track, it goes downhill really, really, really fast. (http://youtu.be/88uc-_nifAU) No one wants to hear his anteater looking ass screaming all over album cuts like it's a shitty mixtape song. His production is nice though. I'm a huge Miguel fan and he collaborates with rappers really well as we've seen with "All I Want is You(feat J.Cole) (http://youtu.be/191rnyn1qUQ)" and the Wale track he was featured on "Lotus Flower Bomb (http://youtu.be/JlYYeA5Zhaw)". I think this will be the radio friendly album cut, hope it's a banger.
ISH, are you guys as amped as I am for this album?
