I wish I had more pairs. It's just every time I get motivated to increase my stock, I'm instantly blown away by some of the prices I come across. I don't think I've bought a pair of new basketball shorts in ten years. I just live off two pairs of my high school game shorts, two pairs of generic mesh shorts, and one great pair of Jordan shorts I borrowed from a friend.

I think I'd have to respectfully disagree with that one. I admit they're not exactly a sharp pair of khakis, but I don't find a smooth, clean, normal colored pair of basketball shorts too far down on the public acceptability chart.

Edit: Wait, were you being sarcastic? I can never tell. What kind of clothing do you wear at home in lieu of basketball shorts? Say, after a long day of work, what do you change into?

They are definitely great. You can wear them when you sleep, play sports, or just as a casual pieces of clothing if you're going out. Though I only ever wear them when going out if I'm feeling extremely lazy.

Love em. I wear them pretty much all summer, whether I'm just chilling at home, going out, working out, going to friends or going to work(They don't care as long as I wear the hat). Sometimes I wear cargo shorts too, when I need an extra pocket. But for the most part, bball shorts are the most comfortable ones. Unfortunately I only have 2 pair of wearable ones right now, 2 Adidas ones. They are nice ones too. I've outgrown the other 3 pairs of S Starters though. And these shorts can be a bit pricey if you want nice ones.

People say you should go out with Jeans, but personally I couldn't have given less of a crap.

I need to get more shorts though.

I have one pair from target for less than $10 bucks. They're really not the same. The material is much rougher/harsher and they've got much more wear and tear marks despite having worn them much less.

I just go to Nordstrom Rack or Ross/Marshalls, they always have good Nike/Adidas/UnderArmor ones. I bought a couple of AND1 pairs online, big mistake by me though. They're way too long, almost feels like I'm wearing pants which also makes them difficult to play ball in since they're so heavy and long.

But yes, basketball shorts are the #1 thing I wear at home. Nothing like coming home after a long day of work and taking off the jeans and throwing on the bball shorts :cheers:

Ugly, plus twice as heavy as regular shorts. Also most reversible shorts lack pockets. One of my old AAU teams used reversible uniforms and it was terrible.

I need to buy more, but as others have said they can be pricey for a good pair. The cheap starter ones I have suck. They have little to no elasticity in the waist so the main thing holding em up is a shoelace. If I put a phone or keys in the pockets I have to tie that shit as tightly as possible to keep em from falling off when I walk, much less do any real activity.
