Celtics' needs are a scoring SG and a productive rebounding C.

Celtics should aim for Mayo or Gordon. Both would fit the Celtics' offense perfectly.

Celtics are very set at the PF position considering KG will play a lot there next year. Add in JuJuan Johnson, Sullinger, and a splash of Jeff Green.

Pietrus and/or Green can back-up the SF position well enough.

Celtics need a productive 7 footer badly. Stiemsma and Melo are not close to starting-caliber.

I know Hibbert on his rookie contract is a great value but assuming he gets near the max, will he be overpaid?

I know Indiana is supposed to be a young team with lots of potential but could Hibbert cripple their flexibility?

PG: Kidd
SG: Wade
SF: LeBron
PF: Bosh
C: Garnett
6th: R. Allen

GET IT DONE RILES! lol.

In all honesty, I'm just hoping for Ray and Camby. I think we can get Camby, Ray... Not as sure. He could get a lot more money somewhere else.

Lakers obviously need a formidable pass first pg, Andre Miller or Jameer Nelson would fill that hole (cap space permitting). Nelson most likely costs too much for them, but if they got him somehow, they'd be in very good shape.

Hornets are looking pretty good after the draft, once they get rid of Rashard, they'll have room to make some moves. They need a center, Hawes or Camby looks like a good fit. Diaw and Illyasova could also provide depth and versatility for a decent price.

As said, Celtics need rebounding, and to fill the hole left by Ray Allen (everyone knows he's gone). Kris Humphries is a great rebounder, but similar to Bass doesn't bring much to the table in terms of height. Camby would be a good role player here as well. Anyway, I'll be interested in seeing who they get to fill Allen's spot, although that person would probably be on the bench while Bradley starts at the 2. OJ Mayo would work very well (he'd most likely start) but I'm not sure they can afford him.

EDIT: I wonder if it's possible that the Celtics pick up Lou Williams. I think his ability to play the 1 or 2, along with the fact that he's a good shooter, would allow him to work well on that team.

Ray to the Heat makes no sense to happen. There are several teams out there that can and will offer much more money.

Camby is a realistic pick-up. He'll be highly coveted, but his value is lower and can be had for mini-MLE money if the situation is right.

Nelson is overrated. The only thing he does above average is shoot 3s. He's definitely not a pass-first PG. He's worth like $6 million a year but will get more somewhere.

I see Ilyasova making $10 million a year somewhere. He went HAM at the end of last season.

Wherever Mayo goes, it's most likely through a S&T, so he could potentially go anywhere.

The question is does Memphis want Bass?

You really think Ilyasova would make that much? He did indeed play very well, but I feel most GMs underrate him to the point he's not able to command that much. But I do like his versatility.

I like Bass and the Grizz also seem to have a thing for jumpshooting big men. Speights did pretty well for them off the bench. I could see Bass doing the same.

Disagree about the scoring SG. Bradley will be more than suitable. Fantastic defense, good 3-point shooting at the end (averaged over 15ppg and ~55% 3-pt shooting in April).

My free agent wishlist for the Celtics (in order from most to least important):
Kevin Garnett
Brandon Bass
Chris Kaman
Nate Robinson
Landry Fields
JR Smith

Trolling confirmed.

Nate Robinson is not a SG.

My main point is they don't need a SG of the caliber you suggested--Gordon/Mayo. A player in that caliber would run in the neighborhood of 60-70 mil for 4 or 5 yrs or something in that ballpark. What I'm saying is the C's don't need that at all and that would be unnecessary...Bradley is more than sufficient and will prove to be an above-average starter.

Fields and JR Smith are a HUGE step down from Gordon/Mayo. Either of them I would see as a backup for Bradley and really be an energy/sixth man.

Mayo/Gordon average 15-20 ppg, while Fields/Smith average 8-12 ppg. Big difference.

And with Nate it is all about the price. For 1 or 2 M I would welcome him back, and I think most of Boston would. I don't know what expectations you have for Nate but I would treat him as an energy guy who can come in for Rondo 5-15 minutes each game. Gives Rondo a nice break which they didn't have this year.
