View Full Version : Is there anyone on ISH who approves of the Pacers choosing Miles Plumlee?

He blocked .9 shots per game and scored 6.6 points per game despite being a 7-footer that can jump higher than anyone.

If they wanted athleticism, why didn't they pick Moultrie who at least knows how to play basketball?

Is there anyone on ISH that honestly likes the Pacers' pick of Plumlee?

My face when the Pacers chose Plumlee:

It was kinda head scratching but at #26 it really doesn't matter.

I'm guessing they are looking for a tough big that will go hard/goon for 10-15 minutes(Hansbrough?) and he'll probably be a better contributer to the team than someone else who will probably be buried on the bench.

Pacers drafted a white guy.

The world is an oblate spheroid. Water is wet. Grant Hill likes dudes.

Larry Bird was on a hot streak and he ended it with a major dud.

I wouldn't have approved of anyone taking him even as an undrafted FA. Dude is not a good player.

easily the biggest :facepalm of the draft, ecspecially with who was stil left on the board ...

playing devil's advocate, why not take a chance on a huge, athletic center? it was the late first round, not like there was a ton of talent left on the board. he might develop into a good rebounder who can bang with dudes down low

pretty much this. If they can get a 10-15 solid minutes a night from him where he's hustling, banging down low, rebounding, etc, than it's a good pick.

Unless you get lucky and draft a gem most of those guys around that pick aren't going to be anything special. No sleep will be lost.

Someone with similar size, athleticism & a lesser skillset got drafted in the lottery.

I hope you're not comparing him to Fab Melo.

Miles Plumlee is a shit defender defender. Fab Melo is one of the 10 best defenders in the entire draft.

I do

He will be fine in Indy. Underrated prospect. Mocks don't mean shit. If a team reaches but the player is good, nobody freaking cares. Look at Westbrook.

Take a look at this :

http://wagesofwins.com/2012/06/25/2012-nba-draft-extravaganza-the-rankings/

This was made before the draft.

Look at the n1 player in the list. Look for the guy that the Spurs drafted with the 59th pick this draft and then take a look at the list again.

If you think this doesn't mean shit, take a look at the same model from 2011. The top 3 in the list were Faried, Irving and Leonard. Who made the 1st all-rookie team again ?

Fab Melo wasn't drafted in the lottery :facepalm

Oops lol

Maybe he's talking about the talentless Drummond? Drummond may not know shit about basketball but he's one of the most athletic players I've seen in years and at least blocked a lot more than .6 shots a game...

Moultrie.
plumee is slightly bigger, stronger, and arguably just as athletic. sure, he has no idea how to play basketball, but teams choose project guys all the time

I don't know this guy got drafted before Draymond Green. Pathetic.
