Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: Probably like 85.

Do any of these guys play 2K? They'll all be mid to high 60's. Low 70's maybe for the top 5 players.

Edit: Barnes obviously does. He's being modest to.

How about us predicting the top 10 pick's ratings?

EnoughSaid

Davis should be in the lower 70's.

Wavy Crockett
07-02-2012, 02:22 AM
A. Davis: High 70's
M Kidd-Gilchrist: low 60's mid 60's
B. Beal: Low 60's, mid 60's
D. Waiters: low 60's
D. Lilliard: mid 60's
H. Barnes: low/mid 60's
T. Ross: high 50's, low 60's
A. Drummond: high 50's, low 60's
A. Rivers: mid 60's
T.Robinson: mid 60's/low 70's

Crimzon
07-02-2012, 02:30 AM
Of course Rivers over-rated himself :oldlol:

EricGordon23
07-02-2012, 02:31 AM

M Kidd-Gilchrist: 72 - 74
B. Beal: 70 - 72
D. Waiters: 70 - 72
T.Rob: 74 - 75
D. Lilliard: 68 - 70
H. Barnes: 72 - 73
T. Ross: 65 -67
A. Drummond: 67 - 69
A. Rivers: 64 - 66

Crimzon
07-02-2012, 02:32 AM
A. Davis: High 70's
M Kidd-Gilchrist: low 60's mid 60's
B. Beal: Low 60's, mid 60's
D. Waiters: low 60's
D. Lilliard: mid 60's
H. Barnes: low/mid 60's
T. Ross: high 50's, low 60's
A. Drummond: high 50's, low 60's
A. Rivers: mid 60's
T.Robinson: mid 60's/low 70's

I think you're underrating them all by 5-6, no way anyone in the top 10 will be in the 50s.

He comes off a little too polished for me. Pretty obvious he has had a camera in his face for a long, long time.

i wonder what he'd rate his dad's classic teams character (if there is/was one).

i'm not sure what to think about them worrying what their rating would be in a video game. kinda funny but at the same time lame too.

Not necessarily a bad thing. He is obviously intelligent. He just seems like one of those 'canned responses' guys that will spit out a bunch of cliches... I seriously doubt his actual personality is in-line with what he puts out there.

Then again, that seems to be the goal of most athletes these days... The Jordan model.

He was not only a basketball superstar, but also played on Washington High's tennis team for three years, and finished his high school career with a 3.99 grade point average on a 4.0 scale

Study.

I think Crimzon's right. 2K's ratings may sound strict but I think it has more to do with their switch over to a 25-99 scale a few years ago (in contrast to their former 50-99 scale), so some numbers that sound low or strict really aren't, we're just accustomed to them standing for a different value.

In 2K12, the only top ten pick to be rated in the 50's was Bismack Biyombo and he, along with Nikola Vucevic and Cory Jospeph, were the only players drafted in the first round to have overall ratings below 60 (at the beginning of the year. I don't know where they finished).

Here's a full look of what the 2K12 rookie slate looked like (before the season began):

I am a drummond homer so off instinct I was going to give him 80 but I thought it would be a bit much.

davis will be an 80. his athletic ratings defense awareness and blocks will be high.

barnes could be 74 if they get generous with athletic rating

NBA Live already released all the rookie ratings. The highest rated one is Anthony Davis at 80.

Do you know Live's rating scale (0-100, 25-99, or 50-99)?

Last year was considered a "weak draft" so it's no surprise the ratings are low. Throughout the year they increased the players ratings anyways for example, Kyrie became an 80, Shumpert became a 77 (also moved his primary position to SG instead of PG)

Bill Simmons actually made fun of MKG's draft night interview in his original Draft Diary. When he was almost immediately alerted that he has a speech impediment, he edited it out and put an apology in there.

I'm surprised more people didn't know. I guess I overestimate the number of real college basketball followers there are out there. Then again, maybe I wouldn't be following these guys as closely if I didn't have a major interest with the Cavs having such high picks the last couple of years.
