Nash would do wonders as a facilitator, but defense at the point is more of a priority for this team.

TBH..it really shouldn't matter what Sarver wants..

Nash made the suns relevant again...made some of their average to below average pieces above average to all stars...he ran the show..even the past couple of seasons where they've been on the outside he's still ran the show with no complaints as the FO did nothing to bring in better talent to give him another legit shot at a title

So if the Lakers are the team nash wants to go to, and he asks you for a sign & trade, then you do it...same goes for if he wanted to go to the spurs, or mavs, or any other team the suns have had a rivalry with recently

Show that man the respect he deserves
Huge if there.
In any case basketball is a business and Suns aren't going to give up leverage to satisfy Nash, no matter how great he has been as a player and ambassador in Phoenix.

Suns are due to pay only $31.5 mil next year so even if they would get an exception, there would be very little value in it for them. If Nash wants to go to a team above the cap for more than any midlevel (or mini-midlevel) you'd expect the Suns to try and get something of value in return, probably a pick or picks (though if multiple picks then 2nd rounders).

Having Steve Nash on the Lakers seems like a bad move although it can work out.

We all know that Nash runs a team. He has the ball in his hands. He utilizies the P&R like no other PG. I'm not sure if he will be capable of doing that when you have a player like Kobe on the team. I can't see Nash having the ball in his hands where he feels comfortable because he will always see Kobe in the corner of his eye demanding the ball. The P&R with Nash-Bynum-Gasol would scare me though. Nash-Gasol can make a great P&P combo that will always leave Gasol wide open. Kobe took away Bynum's year last year so it will be difficult seeing Nash try and run this Laker team with Kobe. AKA Mr.30. Defined by the 30 shots he averages per game.

wouldnt it be same thing with the knicks ?

any good team there will be other ball dominant players , you can be a good team with only 1 ball handler ask the bulls

Actually you proved my point. Having one player puts a tremendous strain on a player. That's why Rose is dealing with all of these injuries at such a young age. You can't ask this guy to do every single damn thing on the court. People want him to defend, pass, score, run the team, control his players, and then when he looks around and notices that the Bulls have nobody else to help him with that task, he pushes himself further.

We are asking LeBron to do everything for his team too, however, he has Wade when LeBron gets tired, and Bosh as another string of defense.

It's too taxing on a player to ask them to do everything. That's why Kobe broke down against OKC. During the last two minutes of every game he just couldn't pull through. Although he did have two other potent scorers. Rose does not and he needs one.

Nash would be great on the Lakers. Now instead of the defense focusing on just what Kobe does. It will give him a breather with another playmaker running the show. Kobe can't do everything like he use to, he is getting too old for that.

Lakers fans must be on crack if they think for even one second Nash would agree to go there.

Nothing against LAL here but it just isn't Nash's style to do this.

Lmao u must be hella mad right now!,,,
