Losing respect for Lebron again. Best fu**ing player in the NBA and he's openly recruiting in the media for a player on his biggest rival currently? That's straight bitch stuff! I'm going to get accused of saying this because I want Allen on Clippers but it's true. Why is the defending champ recruiting that hard from rival team let alone in general? He's basically saying publicly "we need you!!!!" seems desperate.

Yeah, Jordan sure turned down the best perimeter defender and then rebounder of his era to prove he was the best.

Bird sure turned down the maybe the post player ever.

Magic damn sure turned down arguably the great center ever.

Just so they could prove that they were the best!

Jordan presevered for the first six years, didn't betray his team and collude with Bird & Magic.

Magic and Bird stayed with the same team their entire career. LeBron blatantly joined forces with Wade and Bosh because they were all free agents.

Last I checked, collusion isn't the same as a front office recruiting players to help their superstar. Magic was drafted by LA, Bird was drafted by Boston and Jordan was drafted by Chicago. They all won titles, they didn't quit and never went out of their way to join another marque superstar and a multiple-time all-star PF.

So what you're mad at LeBron for not being lucky? He didn't get a Pippen, McHale, Rodman or Kareem to fall into his lap. He had to make it happen for himself.

That's something to shame him for? To me, that's one of the things I respect him the most for.

I know you like Lebron but you don't think posting Twitter pics of photoshopped players is a bit desperate? COMON man! Defending champ, defending MVP... have more pride. Recruit behind closed doors... don't start some creepy ass fan behavior.

Perhaps join a team where you can create a legacy for yourself.
I'm sorry it's very hard for me to give this guy praise after he joined (at the time) the 2nd best player in the game. The guy could have created a legacy for himself elsewhere, and a team like Chicago would have been the ideal place. I am not saying James isn't a fantastic player, I just think he is a giant ***** who doubted himself; something legends never do.

I did explain it. I said it comes off as extremely desperate which is something you never want to see from the defending champs who are just getting started. Not to mention to begin with I think it's lame to recruit a rival player onto your team. IF he's going to do all of this the very least he can do is do it privately.

Just give me ONE example of an MVP/Defending champ recruiting a player, especially from a rival team like this? You won't find one.

Exactly my point, Wade was James's closest rival and the two ******* joined forces to win titles. I'll never give them respect for that, don't care if people think I'm chewing dem sour grapes.

It's just how I feel, I felt the integrity was lost that day.

It's okay that he decided to join forces with other stars, just don't ask me to respect him for that.

Fact is, it is the first time in history that two superstars of that caliber colluded to join forces. It's the perception that will hurt his legacy. He would have had a greater legacy with one ring if he preservered then 5 rings by literally taking the easy way out.

This is the social networking era, Lebron is smart enough to understand that he can use that to his advantage. Now you're mad at him for using one of the biggest tools in his arsenal? It's so true that you can't please anyone.

People get caught up in the stupid details(like the decision or free agency vs trades/drafting, adding talent is just that...adding talent), instead of looking at the whole picture. He wasn't satisfied with Cleveland's moves, left and joined up with Bosh and Wade. Took a lot of heat over the past two seasons and is now a champion. Now if you cannot respect a man taking his destiny in his own hands, networking to find people willing to help him reach his and their own goals and taking risks, you shouldn't respect anyone in the history of the planet. Not even yourself.

The NBA is a business. It isn't this fantasy land where people wait around and get the tools they need to be champions. The funny thing is we just saw an era of superstars playing on shit teams during their prime and it was the most depressing era in NBA History. AI wasted away in Philly, T-mac wasted away in Orlando, VC didnt have enough in NJ(literally no front court to speak for, their best big at one point was a late 30's Cliff Robinson) or in Toronto, Pierce had to carry the C's every single game for like seven years before they brought in the big 3 era ending all of this non-sense.

People hating Lebron for avoiding this and taking it in his own hands is just dumb.

All the guy did was retweet a picture. It's called 2012. Jordan, Bird and Magic wouldn't have done it because the internet didn't exist then.

People take these "rivalries" more serious then the players. I'm sure Kobe Bryant would say "hell no" to signing Paul Pierce or Kevin Garnett  . . Ray Allan is a FREE AGENT, he is able to sign where ever he wants. If that is Miami, so be it. If it's not, we won without him and can win again without him. In Lebrons case I can understand it. The role players for the Heat shot pretty bad the whole playoffs (except the finals of course). You saw how effective Lebron is when shooters knock down their shot, when his passing game is working he's unstoppable.

But in this case I have to defend the haters too. The Celtics are the biggest rivals of Lebron his whole carrer. It seems a bit odd that he does this.

Bird had every year throughout his career 3-4 HOFers on his team.
