Yes all they need is Beasley off the bench!
Do you honestly think anyone on the Lakers can guard LeBron? :lol

Kobe's not gonna work with a PG like Nash.

Current Kobe? Hell yes. Prime Kobe? no. Luckily for the rest of the NBA, this isn't prime Kobe.

Kobe does a pretty good job of guarding himself on most nights.

A backcourt averaged to 37 years old is the best in the league?
I might sound like a hater ..... but we really should see how Kobe and Nash gel before making any silly comments. It might look good on paper (which is a stretch so to say...), but dont dicount the age factor.
As far as the frontcourt goes .... D12 could push them to the top in the league ...
That said, I would love to see how Nash and Kobe will gel together this year.

Before Nash, Bynum/Gasol were not the best. With Nash, they are the best.
Steve will make their jobs so much easier, this is a dream come true.
LA still has 3 million to offer a free agent, still have Hill (as a trading piece for Beasley) and still have Bynum/Artest to send to Orlando.

Yes my thread proves it
Do you honestly think anyone in the league can guard Kobe? :lol
Based on the fact that he shoots 43%, a lot of people can guard him. :oldlol:
Can't imagine what Nash will do for Bynum and Gasol. Kobe needs to defer for real, Team would be scary playing as a team.

All we really need is a guy like Ray Allen, Courtney Lee, Brandon Rush or Morrow. Another good shooter to come off the bench for us.

****ing Lakers. Just when you think they're on the decline...BOOM blockbuster trade that puts them back in championship contention.

:oldlol: You really expect a Kobe homer to understand this?
RRR3 already explained it best stating that Kobe in his prime was unstoppable while current Kobe could easily be shut down especially by Durant if you saw the 2nd round of the 2012 playoffs. Kobe couldn't do jack when Durant was guarding him.

Kobe was 4th in MVP voting last season, Nash led a terrible Phoenix team to a near playoff berth. Yeah, they're old but they are both naturally skilled who don't rely too much on athleticism. Nash had his best years in his 30's.

I can't even imagine what Nash will do with Pau and Bynum in the post and Kobe on the wing.
