No, because I can see a borderline starter from a franchise player. What you're seeing from Dragic is what you'll get it. A 13/7 solid starter, nothing else. Not a consistant player to be a dominant scorer and not a consistant playmaker to cancel out some shitty shooting performances. 3 years from now, players with much more upside and potential are gonna be headlining the PG's. Guys like Irving, Westbrook, Wall, Knight, etc.

You're one to talk "bandwagon", when you're the one believing all the hype around this kid. :oldlol:

How did I hop on a bandwagon when I was only 1 of 2 guys to say him:confusedshrug: Judging from your players I wonder who the bandwagonner is?
Because the thought of 2 posters actually believing he could be the best PG in the world is retarded enough. What i said has nothing to do with bandwagonning. It's called reality. You decide to go against what everybody else said and go with somebody different. When all in all, he has absolutely NOTHING to back up his case against guys like Irving, Rose, Westbrook, etc. Even guys like CP3, Deron, and Rondo will be up there. This is a point guards league but sorry to break it to you, Dragic is nowhere near those guys. Nor will he ever be.

In any case is my point was that's my opinion and it doesn't need to be ridiculed the way you did. You don't have to agree, but if I can make a case it doesn't deserve to be mocked
Have that opinion all you want. Just dont get all disappointed when you dont see the second coming of Steve Nash in the next few years.

He PLAYS harder than anyone else, WORKS harder than anyone else, and STAYS HEALTHY BETTER THAN ANYONE IN THE HISTORY OF HUMAN ATHLETIC COMPETITION!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 Years? He's ALREADY the best Point Guard and will continue to be for 10+ years until he retires.

He will go down as a top 30 player all time and be known as the IRON MAN OF HUMAN ATHLETIC COMPETITION.

True basketball has more wear and tear on the body compared to baseball but RW has what, 4 whole seasons under his belt with a FIBA tournament? Those players he listed have entire careers under their belt and are the epitome of "Ironmen" in sports.

Westbrook is a force to be reckoned with, whether or not he'll be the the best point guard in 3 years is meaningless, he will be ripping the league a new asshole.

Slim Charles>>>>Avon Barksdale :pimp:

Agree with Slim being greater than Barksdale and everyone else on the Wire for that matter, but I disagree with you about Wall. If you take away the first ten games of last season (when he was inexplicably bad for some strange reason), Wall averaged about 19 and 9 on 46% shooting from the field. If he can improve his mid-range jumper, he could be a 20/10 guy VERY easily.

Wall's stock has taken a hit pretty much everywhere because he had that awful start to the season and didnt improve as much as people expected, but the kid still has elite potential for sure. He's still very young, and physically, he's as gifted as any pg in the league. Even now he passes, rebounds and steals/blocks shots at a very high level for a young pg. His shooting is the key. If he gets it to an acceptable level, he'll be a perennial all-star.

Anyway I'll go:

1) Rose
2) Irving
3) Westbrook
4) Wall
5) D Will

We also have players like Rubio, Lin, Teague, Knight, Curry, Jennings, Holiday, Walker, Rivers,D -Will, Parker, Drgaic, Lillard, Bledsoe n.some I might of forgot but dam we got a lot of talent in the 1 spot. I really cannot wait till I see how some of these guys turn out to and as a big PG fan I'm really appreciating the talent level it has grown to. Big CP3 Rose and Westbrook fan but really looking forward to Kyrie Wall Rivers Rubio and Lin turn out to.

I think there is about 4-5 players that has the potential to be the BEST PG in 3 years but there will be a handful lingering around 3-5 spot.

Last year you didn't think it was even close. After a year he's arguably top 3 and a PG doing the most with the least in a tough division. i say in the discussion for the best in 2 more years is not too far fetched.
Just because you can't detect potential early you don't have to be all sour. You didn't even think he'd be "GREAT".

Rose. Seriously. I don't care about the knee surgeries. They were two different injuries on two different knees and after the ACL surgery he looked like he had not lost a step athletically. I have no doubt he'll recover from this one and come back 100%.

Go back to being those "prove it to me first" then hop on the bandwagon after type of guys. Let the smart posters keep sharing their insight
How was I sour? I made fun of you for making a ridiculous claim. The thread itself said BEST PG in 3 more years. Not Top 3 or 5 PG's with your retarded "potential" detector. And you bump this thread with your chest all out thinking you're right. :oldlol:

You thought Dragic would be the best PG in 3 years. You were wrong then, you're still wrong now.

And him being Top 3 isn't even arguable. It's not even close. Steph, CP3, Westbrook, Wall, Lillard, Parker, Rondo, Rose. Those are the elites. Don't get carried away now just because many of those guys are injured. Who is he better than? He's among the Kyrie's, Lowrys, etc. Don't get it twisted.

DaHeezy

Because the thought of 2 posters actually believing he could be the best PG in the world is retarded enough. What i said has nothing to do with bandwagonning. It's called reality. You decide to go against what everybody else said and go with somebody different. When all in all, he has absolutely NOTHING to back up his case against guys like Irving, Rose, Westbrook, etc. Even guys like CP3, Deron, and Rondo will be up there. This is a point guards league but sorry to break it to you, Dragic is nowhere near those guys. Nor will he ever be.
Have that opinion all you want. Just dont get all disappointed when you dont see the second coming of Steve Nash in the next few years.

Case in point :lol

Three years hasn't past brainiac.

And for what he's doing in Phoenix he's a tier up from Lowry.
He's on the tier with Lillard and considering what he's playing with he's got that edge.
Again, stick with living in the now sourpuss.

LMFAO @ thinking Lillard is with them.

Another thing, injuries do mean a lot. Rose will never be the same and Westbrook is up for question. Parker isn't even Parker this year, so far. Rondo needs more time, as well.

First tier: Curry/Paul

That's it.

He's improved. We get it.

No he isn't. He's EXACTLY on Lowry's level. Don't overrate him now.

20/3.5/6 on 51% shooting, 61 TS% combined with the success of a team deemed lottery bound before the season

Outside Curry and Paul, there is literally no PG in the world playing on his level or better.

Everyone saying Westbrook... why will he be better than Rose? Westbrook has had knee surgeries but unlike Rose he keeps on coming back right away. Rose is being smart about it. Westbrook coming back right away will only hurt him in the long run. While Rose recovers and gets back to 100%.

It was bumped to show Dragic's curve towards 3 years. Also to show some people's insight were wrong and they should man up and take the L.
I did say he was on his way and that after 3 years he would be in consideration.

I see Curry as one playoff choke away to being the ISH posterboy for chucker of the year. Once Dragic gets a legitimate all-star and force in the paint (Love?) then he may be argued as the league's best. He does not show any signs of declining.

I had no idea 3 years ago and still have no idea now.

For some reason it's more difficult to predict what happens with PGs than some other positions. There's more turnover, lots of one hit wonders, and it's generally more difficult to stay at the top from that position... It's even worse in today's NBA, with the kind of game that is being played... PG is a position that's judged a lot on superficial things like stats and an aesthetically pleasing game. The only problem is, nowadays almost all PGs produce raw stats, and a LOT of them look good, with beautiful handles, a wet jumpshot etc. They're all tremendously skilled in conventional ways. You can't pick up the subtle details that will make a particular PG stay on the podium for years that easily. (Unless you're dealing with the cream of the crop)

I can tell you that the list of great PFs in 3 years will still have Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin and Kevin Love in it unless they get injured. PGs, I have no idea who makes it. It could still be Irving actually. I genuinely haven't a clue.
