What post moves does Tyson Chandler have though?
if a 3 foot high midget has all the post moves in the world, but he can't score on a regular 6 footer, does that still make him the best post player?
what if one guy only has 2-3 post moves but he can score on anyone on earth with only those few moves, is he the best post player?
so unless kobe can post up on a big man and score on him all day, he ain't a post player. he's just a shooting guard with post moves. is he even strong enough to get in post position against a 7'1" 290 guy?

Why is there a 3 foot guy posting up a 6 foot guy? I have never seen a 3 foot guy play professional basketball. Of course guards are going to guard Kobe in the post. He's not saying he's the team's best center tardosaurus rex.

best player in the post means you are down there and the best option at all time, even with the defensive presence of all the tall centers and forwards, not just guards, you kobe nut sack riding fool.

What's the difference fool? He's saying he is the best player in the post. You're arguing semantics you dumb turd. When Kobe posts guards up, which is often, is he not playing in the post? Oh, you have to post up Marc Gasol on the low block to be a post player, I never knew.
I don't know why you keep going back to the midget argument. Midgets don't play in the NBA. We're strictly talking about NBA players and a matter of inches here. Kobe could score in the post on a good majority of NBA power forwards, as can Paul Pierce.
I respect Kobe, but naturally as a Celtic fan, he's one of my least favorite players. I'm far from a Kobe "nut sack riding fool."
Your argument stacks up as much as someone saying that Webber or Divac were never the best passers on the early 00's Kings teams because they didn't play point guard, and you can't be the best passer on the team if it's not your full time job. Can Divac bring the ball up the court every play under pressure from Gary Payton? No. Same stupid ass argument from a stupid ass poster.

He is right. You have to admire his honesty. Who would be better? Carmelo? (what is can he do besides the spinmove?) Lebron?( he just
Bullies other players to the basket and uses his athletisism). Tyson? (Lol. He would rather shoot a 15 footer). Durant? ( he is just like a 2003 version of Dirk. Excellent shooter. No post up). Kobe can give you the up and under, reverse spin, windshield fadeaway, hop step, pump fakes. He is the best low post player in the league after Dirk( nobody is stoping his one legged fadeaway). What separates Melo from other perimeter guys who try to play on the block is his deceptive strength. He gets a lot of second chance points down low that way.

Thanks for the reply. Good video. But there is a reason that Coaches says KB is the best or one of the best post players in the league. The thing with Carmelo is that he likes to iso, use his jabstep and shoots the J and he wont use postmoves in cluth situations that often. Bare in mind, kobe likes iso and shoots questionable shots a lot, but when he wants to post up and make some damage to smaller guards, you have to send a double team.

True. I dont think Kobe knows how to play the mental game sometimes. Thats why I think a lot of players do not want to play with him. He should motivate his teammates by saying "We have some excelent post scorers like LJ, Melo, Tyson, etc, we can do some damage down low, but I think I should be the more complete". He tries to be extra cocky and that wont benefit him. Although, like I said earlier, I think he is the most complete. NBA season is over and now is a team game in pursuit of the gold.
Kobe says who takes the shot at the end tho? Make sure you don't turn it over, Leinbound.
Probably the one who just won a championship as the man 4 years earlier than Kobe, who led in 4th quarter scoring and clutch stats and shoots higher percentage...
Me personally i would prefer Kevin Durant to take any last shot as he is a more accurate jumpshooter than both Kobe & Lebron and the most accurate jumpshooter in the olympic team...
But dont you wory, i can guarantee you there will be no such last second heroball situations... they will blow teams out more or less..

A reach on both accounts.
Not really, no. Name me another player who gave himself his own nickname, and even explained the rationale behind it (Black Mamba - I can strike 99 times in a second or some corny bullshit like that). Dude is CONSTANTLY talking himself up, taking subtle jabs at past greats etc. - much more so than any other all-time great.

There is nothing wrong with that....
Except that he didn't have to say it and he could just chill and be a humble team mate and not an arrogant turd.

As I said in the other topic yesterday, Kobe is THE biggest self-promoter in history. The most arrogant ****ing player EVER, bar none.

What jab has he taken at any past great? you sound just like a lil B!tch right now. So what he's cocky, arrogant? he's been like this since he got drafted at 17 and has the resume to back that sh!t up, while you my friend, remained mad, and pressed. :oldlol:
Continue on though, it is quite entertaining reading your rants.

If we're going by the merit of someone giving themselves a nickname...
I'm only recalling LeBron James and until this year his "King" moniker didn't really fit. He did coin himself King James though (I don't know what the background on that was at the moment)...
Other than that, Shaq coined himself a lot of nicknames, but that was for comedy.
The other part, most arrogant player, I disagree with that more... it's also a lot more objective than this part of the topic.
The own nickname thing... eh, I'm not too really concerned about it, but there have been other self-promoters too (Again, LeBron... I'm not recalling anyone else right now).

Didnt lebron do the whole King james promotion stuff as well? I think its part of the new nike crap. Howard is doing it as well with giving himself SUPERMAN and stuff.

Kobe has backed it up more than enough times.

Shaq would like a word with you.
As would;
Superman
MDE
The Big Dog
The Big Fundamental
The Big Aristotle
etc...
Of course Shaq never promoted himself or disrespected any true greats, and Kobe favorably comparing his post game to his year's Olympic team is 10000x worse than Shaq dissing bums like Kareem, Hakeem, Russell, Mikan, Wilt etc, etc

How long has Loki been hating on Kobe? I wonder if it ever gets old. :oldlol:
As for Kobe, he's telling the truth. The only reason I have him over Melo is that Melo tends to be out of control sometimes when he goes to the post. He also doesn't convert at as high a percentage as you would expect.

It's not like Kobe's boasting or anything. Does anyone really consider Tyson Chandler Hakeem Olajuwon?
