View Full Version : Blake vs LeBron in random tests of physical ability

Living Being

Blake is 1-2 inches taller, but they are about the same weight (260-270lbs), and seems to be similarly proportioned.

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02270/team-usa_2270673b.jpg

We know LeBron is faster and more coordinated, has better skills in just about everything, but who is more of a physical beast?

They are both unstoppable at the basket, but LeBron is better at driving to the basket and finishing tough layups.

Is Blake possibly a slightly better leaper and a bit stronger?

Who would win in the following:

Bench press
100m dash
Arm wrestling
Furthest thrown football
Most powerful punch
Most powerful kick
Most flexible
Reaction time
Boxing match
Most silverback gorillas slain in 5 minutes
Fight to the death

Bench press - Blake, more brute strength.
100m dash - LeBron, he's faster.
Arm wrestling - Not sure.. both have some guns. I'll say LeBron because I think his arms are longer.
Furthest thrown football - LeBron probably.
Most powerful punch - LeBron I suppose.
Most powerful kick - Blake, he has hops.
Most flexible - LeBron.
Reaction time - LeBron.
Boxing match - I take Blake because of the height advantage.
Most silverback gorillas slain in 5 minutes - Both die before killing any.
Fight to the death - Blake, he has ginger rage.

IMO.

Besides these two ridiculous choices lebron is better than blake at everything

I'd Lebron at almost everything except bench. I think he arm wrestling wouldbe a draw and in terms of a boxing match I have no idea that has a lot to do with mentality. Lebron seems like he would be more of a mayweather fighting type and Blake a more aggressive type but neither are boxers so who the hell knows.

But Lebron is a better athlete. Blake is always falling down but Lebron never falls. He has better stability and better balance which is very advantageous in many sports and just things in life in general. It's why he would be a great football player too.

I guess you didn't see Cleveland LeBron. Dude was arguably the fastest from end to end. And he's still one of the fastest in the league. His quickness is nowhere near the same though.

Lebron came into Heat camp last season at 5.1% bodyfat. Wade at 3.8%...

If that's not low, I don't know what is.

I think the only thing that Blake might beat Lebron at is bench press, even then I'm not sure due to Lebron being slightly older and hitting the weights longer.

I have a hard time any of those BF's numbers are even true. Most of the time those numbers are completely exaggerated and off by a decent amount.

LeBron's physique is very overrated IMHO. His body fat is NOT ridiculously low, I'd say it's pretty average for an athlete (key word: athlete). Not saying he isn't a beast but there are guys with better physiques in the league. Blake is one of them.

It was from 2010-2011 in his first season with Miami. He looked a little bit leaner in 2012 but not that much.

All I'm saying is that the body fat thing is always exaggerated in the NBA. Aaron Brooks was like listed at like 2.7 body fat which is not even healthy for a human.

Here is a thread that talks about the myth of NBA body fats.

Nope. the fact that lebron doesn't have these full draft stats and he always dodges the question when he is asked about his weight is because he wants to add to the myth of his abilities.

LeBron weighs more, is stronger, faster, and better balancing. He can jump higher, and is generally better at every thing than Blake other than pushing off of a defender to make himself appear that he is higher in the air on an offensive foul that somehow turns into an and 1 opportunity.

Griffin could MAYBE take out one silverback gorilla if he had 20 minutes or so.

LeBron I think could take out an entire tribe if he was motivated, we forget how stupid gorillas are and the fact that they are peaceful animals and would rather take punishment than hand it out. LeBron could easily sneak up behind all of them and snap their necks before any of them even knew what was going on.

That is no where near 5%. At 10% you have a full six pack. He's somewhere between 10-12%.

These numbers are exaggerated all the time and most people don't have a concept of how lean 5% body fat truly is.

This dude is a true 5%. He is also water depleted, but you can obviously see the difference.

Do you actually think you need to take steroids to get to % body fat

No, but 99.999% of people would need to take steroids to maintain that level of muscle mass at that low of a bodyfat. They would also need a near perfect diet and lifting routine. Most people would end up looking like this by the time they hit 5%:

Lebron's not 5% and will never be if you are competing in a sport of basketball that involves strength and explosiveness.

The lower your body fat is .... the weaker you are.

Bodybuilders have their bulking phase where they lift heavy and eat as much as they can. This is when they are at their strongest.

When it comes to competition...they will start dieting and start to cut the fat to show more of their vascular body, which they will be at their weakest due to lack of food.

Why do you think there is a buffet of food in the lockerroom after every game for these athletes....because they need to grub after all that energy they are exerting.

Bodybuilding is a show sport. It's not about lifting as much weight as you can, or being as efficient as you can athletically.

I don't know why some of you are posting bodybuilders in comparison to Lebron to show fat difference. Everybody is built differently to be efficient for their job in sports, and bodybuilders are there to show off every muscle.
