View Full Version : Heat talking to Milicic according to agent

Nash

By Ira Winderman:

Agent Marc Cornstein confirms to Sun Sentinel conversation with Heat regarding amnestied center Darko Milicic. "We've certainly talked about it," he said of his discussions with Milicic.

Agent Marc Cornstein, on Heat only having veteran minimum to offer Milicic, "I guess the beauty of amnesty is he's already receiving his whole contract by clearing waivers. Money is always a factor, but in this case it really becomes a much smaller factor."

If they get Dark 4 of the top 5 picks in the 2003 draft will be on the same team and all have rings. Mr. Carmelo Anthony has yet to make it to the Finals much less the Conference Finals.

He literally almost did not play 1 important minute the entire season. That's not an accomplishment. That's luck. I think you need to look at the word accomplishment, it means to accomplish something. Not sit and witness something occur.

Darko has no motivation left in him, he just doesn't care at all at this point (that was my impression of him last season with the wolves). Maybe playing in the stacked heat can light a fire on him but I doubt it, I agree with the posters that think he's as productive as Joel Anthony and Pittman at this point.

This would be a great place for Darko to sign. Just rebound and play defense, be a contributing member of a championship team, and then have some dumb team overpay next year.

I have no problem bringing in the Serb for the vet minimum $1.3M. The Heat are so dominant everywhere else that they just need a big body there who's not totally useless. He would be better than Pittman by a mile ( Pittman is atrocious)

A 7-foot 275 pound body who can absorb 15-18 minutes per game allowing Bosh to rest up for the playoffs is nice. The Heat got Ray Allen to rest Wade up for the postseason. Spoelstra said he will decrease all of Wade's, Lebron's and Bosh's minutes in the regular season next year to make sure they are all fresh and ready to go come playoff time.

Bringing in Darko and Rashard would lend to that for Bosh

Darko punking Griffin:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=QxfvzzK-KYE

for most team's looking for a real contributor Darko would be almost useless. but not on Miami's roster.

Lebron Wade and Bosh are all very good passers making things very easy for Darko . He could be useful getting whatever 10, 15, or even 20 minutes here and there. As I said Spoelstra's top goal is to preserve guys in the regular season next year, he just said that in an interview that it's one of his goals to lower Lebron's Wade's and Bosh's minutes to have them fresh for the playoffs.

Of the 4 teams originally interested in Darko the clippers and bulls have signed backup bigs. Only the Heat and Nets are left. If his attitude is right and he wants championships and great notoriety he'll suck it up and join the Heat

The guy can have a great game scoring a bunch of pts then disappear on the scorecard in his next 3 or 4 games. But the beauty of the Heat is the Big 3 are so good and the Heat are so deep that they don't need the same consistent contributors every night. Wade Lebron and Bosh will get their's, and as we saw there's different role players contributing almost every game. Miller nailing 7 three's, or Chalmers going for 25 pts vs OKC as he did in the finals, it will be Ray Allen going for 25 pts some nights, Haslem going for 14 pts, Rashard Lewis could be the guy the next night contributing with 18 pts.. Darko could be a guy giving us 14 pts in a tight game, and from a position on the court no one expected .. etc etc
