Before you guys jump the gun and say Bobcats, they are not the most irrelevant. Yes they may suck, but people do talk about them here.

SyRyanYang: The trio of Drummond,Monroe and Knight will make them relevant again

I think Milwaukee takes this. Wisconsin just doesn't care about basketball. It's football and hockey country up there.

Charlotte would be close, but I think they can revamped. NC is a great basketball state with the college teams. If they could somehow tap those fan bases and get them into the pro team, they would be much more popular. Maybe change the team name to Tar Devils? Blue Heels? Blue Tar? :confusedshrug:

It's crazy how they went from being one of the top contenders in the East to a lottery team in a couple of years.

Clippers there is no point in an awful team like that and then you take the fact that they play in the same city as the Lakers :facepalm

Easily the most irrelevant/unnecessary team over the years...

The Pistons are one of 5 teams in NBA history to win 3 or more Championships. 5th All-Time in total wins (this includes other teams ABA records). 6th All-Time in total Playoff appearances with 40. 4th All-Time in Finals appearances with 7.

From 2003 to 2008 the Pistons made 6 straight Eastern Conference Finals appearances, 2 NBA Finals appearances and 1 Championship. Their last Championship was less than a decade ago.

Irrelevant.

Not true about Milwaukee. I was born there and 90% of my family still lives there. Packers and Brewers are obviously the biggest things there, but the Bucks are very popular. They are just under-represented on ISH for some reason. Nobody gives 2 shits about hockey.

Bobcats aren't really irrelevant. They suck, but we still talk about them because a) they are historically bad and b) MJ is their owner.

I think Utah is probably the most irrelevant team right now. Even with Deron they were an afterthought, since they lost him they've made no moves to get better and have slipped into obscurity.

Wisconsin Badger hockey is pretty important up there.

I guess with Marquette and UW basketball, there is some good basketball too. But no one really remembers the Bucks for some reason.

Jazz are under appreciated. But they were a playoff team like they usually have been for the past 30 years and they have improved this off season and have a good looking young foursome going forward.

No they do, problem is....Majority of Milwauke fans are covert Bulls fans. We've called the Bradley Center our second home court for a while now. And I honestly feel so bad when we play them, especally for the Bucks players. Like literally, 80% of the jerseys are Bulls jerseys and they cheer so loud for the bulls.

Here is when Rose made that gamewinner shot last season. Look at the crowd....and note, this is NOT the united Center.

And in the present they're still not even close to the most irrelevant team in the League, so your point means nothing. Irrelevance takes alot longer to accumulate than a couple down years for one of the best franchises in NBA history.

so was lakers irrelevant in mid 90's before shaq joined? was celtics irrelevant when they were a lottery team? were bulls irrelevant after MJ left?

every teams go through rebuilding process time to time. pistons are top 7-8 franchises for sure.

Never claimed they were currently THE most irrelevant team, or had an irrelevant history. All I said is that right now in the grand scheme of things, with the roster they have when compared to the top teams in the league for this coming year, they're pretty damn irrelevant. I don't see them even making a 6th seed in the weak ass Eastern Conference. To be relevant means you're currently a contender, or at least a threat to give contending teams a lot of problems. And I don't see the current Pistons roster as much of a threat to the top teams in the league right now. A Pistons team winning championships years ago doesn't make the current Pistons squad relevant at all. They're not even the same players... how does 1 set of players make a whole other set of players magically relevant? :confusedshrug: How can the be relevant when they only had a .379 win percentage last year in such a weak ass conference?

Joke of a team..

Other teams rebuild, contend and repeat.. The bucks just stay shit.

Of the other teams mentioned here, you can argue they're all making some progress. Kings have a lot of talent now, same as gsw, pistons, hell even the bobcats are putting some pieces together, they still need another year/draft and some FAs though.. But what have the bucks done apart from resign ilyasova??:confusedshrug:

Ellis doesn't count either, career loser. Also they gave up bogut, even though he is injury prone as fu*k...

Forgot to mention the wizards, they should be much improved aswell..:applause:

Teams who I can't name more than 5 players on without looking it up online:

1. Bucks
2. Warriors
3. Raptors
4. Pistons
5. Wizards

I'd say that's my top 5 for least relevant teams

yeah, it's the bucks. warriors are pretty close

i wanted to say atlanta, but they're famous for being irrelevant, and that makes them sorta relevant. but they've gotta be the least cared about playoff team

sacramento at least had that run in the early 00s where they were foils for the lakers

How are people saying Toronto? An entire country is behind them. The question is, "most irrelevant teams in the NBA" not "most irrelevant teams in America". Toronto Raptors arguably have the greatest potential of all teams. 50 years from now, I can see them being an internationally known franchise, up there with the other top 3-5 franchises. Right now some people see it as a negative that they're the only team in the NBA not located in the USA... I see that becoming a positive one day.

Legends66NBA7

Toronto Raptors arguably have the greatest potential of all teams.

That potential remains with our management. Time after time, they don't show us a proper direction for the team.

Are we rebuilding ? Are we going to contend ? Are we a darkhorse ? How long are we going to stay medicore ? How are we going to keep our players ? How are we going to attract lucrative free agents ?

No question that there are a lot of fans in Toronto (I personally have interacted with enough) and the majority of Canada has their back... but for how long do we stay inconsitent with our future plans ?

If the Raptors want to become one of the greatest franchises the NBA has ever seen, then the management needs a real long-term plan for it.

1. Money goes A LOT farther in those small market cities than in places like LA or NY. Making $15 million in a place like Oklahoma City or Cleveland is like making $35 million in NYC or LA. In fact, I don't think there are even any state taxes in Oklahoma.

2. Being an NBA player in Oklahoma City or Cleveland carries a lot more prestige and clout than being an NBA player in LA or NY. When you're in NY and LA, you're no longer everyone's main focus because you're in the same city as a number of other very well known celebs and other rich/famous people.

3. The top 1% of women in nearly major city is always excellent. Although the women in OKC or Cleveland may not be of the same caliber as those in NY or LA as a whole, NBA players are only dealing with top 1% chicks anyway and that top 1% in OKC or Cleveland is probably on par with the top 5% in LA or NY (every major city has hot chicks and the top chicks in OKC and Cleveland are still extremely hot).

4. NBA players travel to 29 different cities during the season so it's not exactly the same as some accountant being stuck in a certain city year round.

5. NBA players can live wherever they'd like during the offseason. Just because they may play for OKC or Cleveland doesn't mean they have to live there year round. Many players live in cities like LA, Vegas, and Miami during the offseason and I'm sure they get everything they want to get done during those 3-4 months (that's enough time to sex 50+ hot chicks if the goal is to sleep with a ton of hot women).
