The only reason the Heat have 2 rings is because disgruntled superstars leaving their teams (Shaq & Lebron). They don't have a good FO, they have been very weak in the draft, no big trades have been pulled off, etc NOTHING. So many franchises are better than the Heat...Lakers,Bulls,Celtics,Pistons,San Antonio,76ers,Dallas >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Heat. And even other teams have done a better job of staying competitive.

Can you not read? No one said we got all of stars through the draft... I was simply talking about the lack of moves the Heat have made over the years.
Dont question the moves we have made. We have drafted legends (Magic & Kobe), traded for legends (Kareem & Pau), signed legends as free agents (Shaq) and we have went out and gotten some of the best coaches to lead us... point is our FO hasn't been sitting back dwindling their fingers waiting for an unhappy superstar to come along.

It doesn't even make sense. You can't declare for the draft, choose the team you want to go to, and they say never mind if you don't go to that team. Once you declare, you are ineligible to play in college...And Kobe knew he wasn't even the top coveted player in that draft so he didn't even have that much clout at 18 yrs old. He working out with other teams too...

of course the Heat are just getting started with their beautiful legacy. Riley is a genius and brought the Heat to 3 Finals appearances in the last 7 seasons.. would have been 4 Finals appearances in the last 8 seasons if Wade didn't get injured when the Heat were up 3 games to 2 in the 2005 ECF.
what's truth is some of those years in between were sacrificed as Riley was preparing for the free agency period like a BOSS to cement Miami's dominance.

It seems people forget to mention the Heat started out as an expansion team in '88 I believe. Their history is short. LA has been around for ages. I think the Lakers only have five rings from the Shaq and Kobe eras since the Heat's inception to the NBA. The Heat have 2... the disparity in championships isn't as big as people think. You can say 16>2 all you want but as a Heat fan I could care less about the rings you won in the seventies and 80s when it comes to this debate.

I hope that's sarcasm, as Toronto isn't a small market team. The 4th largest city amongst NBA teams is a small market ? The only team in Canada ? What hurts Toronto is moeny value to get top talent to the city and wrong views they have on the city/country.
Yes, New York is more valuable than Toronto. Toronto's ranked 12th according to Forbes and there isn't much star talent on Toronto. I can only assume if the Raptors team had a major star or two playing on the squad, they would be Top 3-5, very easily.

Well, the reason it became default is because the Grizzlies got moved from Vancouver to Memphis.
Either way, we have larger population and more passionate sports fan in Toronto, so we would have had more fans regardless if there was another team in Vancouver, Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary, etc...

But you did say that there isn't star power on your team when speaking about the monetary value of your franchise therefore implying that stars make a dramatic impact on a teams value. My point was, the Knicks at one point had the worst roster in the entire league and still remained #2 on the Forbes list; hence, stars do not impact a teams overall value and it can not be used as an excuse for any lack of value.

Just say you were wrong and call it a day brah. It's not that hard.
Wrong? About what? That the Knicks are more valuable than the Raptors? They are...
And even with your point of the Raptors sneaking into the playoffs a couple of times over the past decade and in turn being more sucessful than the Knick in that same span, the Knicks were still more VALUABLE and RELEVANT.

You're right there, but I also said that (I believe I mentioned it in my previous post) it's because of the fact were also in Canada. Different courntry. The dollar value also being different here, the taxes being different here, etc... To me that also does play a roll in where were ranked.
Toronto is a short drive from Niagra Falls, NY.... its not like going from the US to Zimbabwe...not much of a culture shock 5 miles outside of upstate NY

My point still stands that it's not in the States.
Our cultures are probably not too different, yes for sure, but the money value, taxes and business economics is different... which relates more closely to the two teams were talking about than the cultures (byt the way, Toronto is often called a smaller version of New York or Chicago).

Not trying to stir shit up but the Knicks have no excuses to having last won a title in the early 70s, they have the biggest TV market and should be always contending.
Further proof that market size has nothing to do with winning titles.

You were wrong about:
-The Raptors being a small market team
-The Raptors being the epitome of failure or whatever grandiose word you used when the raps have been better for most of the past ten years.
There is no reason for your arrogance at all. You don't even know why I laughed at the sentence I highlighted either. You just read my location and started to spew bullshit, which shows just how ignorant you can be. I know that the Knicks are valuable, I never disputed that they aren't. You seem to be forgetting that both of us are older than the team you keep putting down, give them time. The Knicks took 30+ years to win their first title but yet you make fun of the Raps for what exactly? I don't understand.
Here are some cold hard facts for you. The Knicks do not deserve to be in any conversation in terms of franchise greatness with the Sixers,Lakers or Celtics if you are basing it on legendary players, championships and great teams.
I don't want to hear anything from you about how the Raptors are the ----- of failure when your team just won their first playoff game in 12 years or how ever long it took. That's pathetic.
We can talk about market size and team value all day but who is arguing against you? No one cares about that shit. Fans care about wins and losses bruh. Win something before you go put down other cities and teams dude. Otherwise you just sound like a jackass.

I have explained numerous times in other posts that my Marbury avatar is a represtation toward my overall feelings about the team rather than paying homage to the player himself. Knick fans would probably understand if they had lived through the Marbury era. He frequently would goto the bench and put a towel over his head realizing that the same sh!t just happens every game and he has developed a numbness, a melancholy indifference to the team.
Anyway, you do have a Bieber avatar and you probably are a fan.....very gay. Additionally, believe me I am in no way jealous of the Raptors pedigree of Vince Carter (for 6 years) and Chris Bosh... no one is.

The only big markets are New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and (who would've thought) Miami. Actually I'd throw Dallas in there as well. The rest are all small to medium sized markets. Would that make you feel better if I said your team is in a "medium market"? Sheesh you sure do have a hang up about size... hopefully thats not you projecting from experiences in your personal life.

That would take me too long.
Metalcore, nu-metal, modern pop, most country, dub step, and indie music is hot garbage if you ask me. I also find a lot of classic rock to be kinda boring. I'm not a big rap/hip-hop guy either, although I do like some rap.
As for what I do like, progressive metal/rock is probably my favorite genre. I also like some thrash metal, hard rock, jazz, blues, and a little bit of rap too.
Man, my taste is music is just unbelievably good.

Last sentence makes you sound like a douche, your taste in music isn't any better than anyone else's.
That said I am horrible at identifying genres, but I am all over the place when it comes to music.
I like classic rock like the Kinks, the Zombies. There are a lot of rock bands that I really like but would have no clue what subgenre they are in. I've learned a lot about rock since my teens but I'm still a novice. My favorite rock album has to be Queens of The Stone Age- Songs for the Deaf:bowdown:
I love R&B and Rap, they have been conjoined at the hip as of late but I love a lot in those two genres. All the way from Doo-Wop to rappers like Lupe going in over Dubstep beats. My favorite R&B artist is probably Miguel, at the moment, I really loved his debut album. Usher is another favorite who continually drops good records. His latest album is pretty nice.
I've been listening to Reggae music since birth, but don't really venture outside of the bigger names. Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley are my favorites.
I like house music way more than dubstep but I am no expert on either genre, I realize a lot of the people on here are uber-condescending when discussing those two genres or any related music in my opinion.
I do love bieber's new album, I just decided to give it a fair shot. It was way better than I expected and don't understand why people continually hate on a kid when they've only heard either one or two songs from him. Some of the people I know hate him and haven't heard one god damn thing from him. I feel that if people didn't know it was him singing, and just heard the song without any reservations, they would like some of his material. It isn't bad and he should have an extremely long career ahead of him. The production on "Believe" is fantastic and he has a nice voice.
