Waffles are trhe best man. Cripsy on the outside, sweetness in the middle, and divets to hold the syrup. What more could you ask for?

Regular waffles are f#cking great. Not a huge fan of the giant Belgian waffles.

I have it regular waffles>french toast>pancakes>Belgian waffles.

I'm just not a fan of waffles. But I will admit, I am slightly weird. I like my pancakes not cooked all the way. Whatever it is though I have to load it up with syrup.

Waffles > French Toast > Pancakes in my opinion

It's kinda like picking between your 1st, 2nd and third born. Very difficult. This also explains why I'm 30 pounds overweight.

I haven't had them since I was a kid but Burger King had the best french toast sticks. Dipping them into that little syrup container was heaven.

1. French Toast
2. Waffles
3. Pancakes

I've never been a fan of Pancakes to be honest. French toast is easily my favorite though.

French Toast > Waffle Toast >>>>>>> Pancakes

Pancakes have way too much of a floury taste to me.

Agreed.

I like all three but french toast is just sacred.

I like all three. I guess Pancakes would be my favorite. Weird fact? I rarely eat any 3 of them with syrup :lol

Pancakes are hugely overrated. WAYYY too heavy...Crepes are a much better option.

Crepes >>> Waffles > Pancakes > French Toast for me.

Crepes w/ nutella and bananas is the way to go

I love French toast. When it's done right, it's incredible. However, I have been converted by my lady's family. When we have stayed at her parents place, her dad makes pancakes stuffed with cheddar cheese and serves them with maple syrup and bacon. The cheese really adds a different element. Maybe I'm biased though, if you put cheese on a dead rat I'd probably eat it.

For me, it used to be undoubtedly French Toast>Pancakes>Waffles. However, pancakes have made a run within the last few years. I've found their combination with scrambled eggs (mixed with cream cheese) to be quite delectable.

Seriously man, try pancakes with cheese in them. I pour about a 1/3 of the batter that I usually would for one normal pancake, then I place a slice or two of cheddar cheese, then I pour the other 2/3 of batter. Make sure the batter is a little thicker than usual. These are thick pancakes.

OP i disagree a bit... i think waffles are perfect.

french toast is so damn heavy, and pancakes have sort of a squishy quality which IMO is improved by pouring the same damn batter in to the waffle-iron.

Depends on quality.

Frozen: French Toast > Pancakes > Waffles
Restaurant: Waffles > Pancakes > French Toast
Homemade: French Toast > Pancakes > Waffles

French toast owns all categories for me.

Dis dude knows whats up

BTW, if you want to make some real quality french toast at home, use thick slices of Challah bread, cook it on the pan on med heat for a couple minutes until it browns, and then stick it in the oven for about 10 minutes. You get a crispy outside and soft inside with the egg cooked all the way. Based of Alton Brown's recipe

yeah waffles ftw

- you can go traditional or put whatever the fk on them
- runny sauces get trapped in the grid instead of running off onto the plate
- they can be made soft or crunchy, fat or thin, according to preference

french toast does its own thing and is worthy of admiration
but pancakes are not
they are to waffles what the beeper was to the cell phone
move the fk on already
