Ideas to improve forum

Hello everyone! Hope you are all having a beautiful summer vacation.

$LakerGold has suggested a good idea to me that you will start seeing more of. From now on with every thread, it will have sort of a tag to it.

For example, in a thread titled "lakers signed Steve Nash", it would have a "FA Signed" next to it. Or if it is a rumor, it would be "FA Rumor" or "NBA Rumor" depending on the topic in which it pertains to. You will see more of these more often.

So why would I make a thread about this you ask? Simple, from now on if you have ideas, it will be a great idea to post them here so that others can agree, make it better, or disagree.

rather than trying to set some new rules, why don't you start using
this approach and maybe it will catch on.... rules make people leave
a forum, not participate....

Yeah. On some real shit.

All that name calling (granted its not too harsh) can be fun. Those arguments and debates kept This forum going. Now it's so uptight not only do members not argue but they stop posting.

Sucks. It's really not what it used to be. Filled with new occasional posters.

Good things don't last forever.

(Oh. And maybe once the season starts, the poster will all come back like roaches that they are)

I think what allows ISH to function the way it does is that all discussion is basically crammed into one forum. There's not enough activity for it to be spread out in subforums like RealGm and sadly that includes the Lakers board. Maybe that's because of all the registration blocks but what else can you do to avoid the 5000 alts on this forum...

I posted that Lakerfreak disappeared in April, he reappeared after that but now has been gone awhile again. I give him grief about it but the truth is that the young man is just working hard on things far more important than basketball.
