View Full Version : Amazing how the title changed the public perception of LeBron.

He's not a douche like people think. He's made mistakes, but he's genuinely a nice guy. He's been in Miami for 2 years now and I follow the Heat closely, he's done nothing bad. It's easy to say the wrong things when you are under a microscope.

I told you so

I said they would win it all before the season started and I also predicted that a championship would transform Lebron into a saint in they eyes of Joe Public. America loves a winner.

LeAlpha douchebag.

My opinion of him as a player has changed because of the title, but the reason I rooted against him in the first place was because of his doucheness. Though, it seems that has reduced some as well (talks more about his teammates rather than 3rd person statements that undermine his teammates like "LeBron James needs more"--not an actual quote, but close to things he has said)

He still did the poor decision show

Was nothing wrong with that show honestly speaking, at the end of it all Cleveland fans got hurt for him leaving... and they would be hurt no matter how/where/when he would have reported his departure...

he still mocked Dirk

A joke, but oh well... who the hell cares... poor Dirky... boohoo...

he still told people to get back to their sad lives.

Wrong, he didnt say to people to get back to their "SAD" lives... but told the haters that at the end of the day they would get back to their lives and he would move on with his...

Nothing wrong, well said and very true...

Now, if you feel like your life as a Lebron hater is "SAD" thats up to you...

Yet he wins a title and is seems it changed his character in the eyes of the public.

Explain what you mean, what character? What character was he ever? He was always the same good guy who every player, coach, teammate loved.... and whom every hater was butthurt upon... haters come with the territory, Magic had them, Shaq had them, Jordan had them, Kobe had them (and still has them) and so on...

You're correct. I go on the other forums a lot and the LeBron hate is not even close to what it is here. Most of the posters here are indeed Laker fans. In fact, every poster that has a picture to bash LeBron in their avy is almost always a Laker fan for whatever reason.

There never was a public opinion of LeBron outside of Cleveland. It was always media created, and when the media started to ride him hard so did the public. When the media turned him into a villain so did the public, and then the media got back on his jock strap so did the public.

He's still the same guy to me. He just finally did what he couldn't do during his unsuccessful tenure in Cleveland as the Shame he had to do it on a start studded team which will forever haunt his legacy though.

Nonetheless, he still isn't humbled or changed by this experience as he claims. He's the same old Lebron with some more hardware.

lol winning a chip off the backs of Wade and Bosh and all the other talents in south beach still won't remedy him choking in 09 vs Orlando, him giving up vs Boston in '10 and him choking hardcore again in '11 :oldlol:

Also Pippen averaged 20/9/7/2.5/1 during his first Finals (real shot at contention), Lebron averaged 17/7/7 his first go around and 4 straight 4th quarters 2 or less points, that' sad that someone who averages 28 ppg couldnt even average 2 points a game in the 4th during the '11 finals...

seriously one of the biggest choke jobs i've ever seen, and i've been watching for a while. Definitely worse than the "mailman doesn't deliver on sundays" choke by Malone in 97, which was an epic chokejob even in itself.

Lebron has always been the little media darling but i dont think much has changed of his clutch ability and crunch time potential even since he got his first chip.

Simple concept.

You cannot be serious :facepalm . Do you think anyone would've given a **** about LeBron "growing up"(whatever that means) if he hadn't won a championship? Winning completely dictates a superstar's image. And losing is the only thing that even enables you to hate. Notice how every LeBron joke stopped being funny the moment he won a championship? What, you think that was because people suddenly realized he "grew up"? No, it was because he WON, so people had no choice but to STFU. Nobody sh!ts on a winner. The Decision wouldn't have received 10% the hate it did had LeBron already won a ring as a Cavalier. His entire story is just another reminder of the fact that winning is everything.

I really hope you LeBron fans are just young and stupid. Have you ever met the guy? Do you know he's a nice guy for sure? No. You claiming he is makes no difference, just like everyone else who says otherwise...it just makes you look like a tool. So shut the hell up and be realistic with the shit you say.

I have respect for LBJ, what he did is worth praise. I knew he'd get his sooner or later, I've said as much in the past more than once. You c0ck riding kids just fuel the hate for the guy. I know it's all fun because he finally did what he was supposed to for the past three years, but the obsession is ridiculous for one championship.

LBJ would take a shit on your tombstone after you pass and not feel a bit of regret, so stop acting like this guy is a hero. An NBA championship does nothing but make kids like all dummies sticking up for LeBron with every living breathe feel all special for absolutely nothing. Most of you aren't even from Miami. If not for Wade, Bosh, and all the others on the Heat roster, you'd have the same ol' LeBron who would sell his a$$hole for a title. Remember that before giving him all the credit.

But, it's ISH. Why would I expect more from you guys....
