I'm sure she will get over it. She's mad because he allowed that picture to be taken.

It's just some groupies who were there next to the Gawd and it happens his shirt was off.

Why did Kobe get married in the first place? Great way to waste having so much fame and money. The guy basically wasted his prime years being a family man....and for what?? Give me Kobe's money and fame and I'll show him how it's supposed to be done.

Dude should have ran through 4-5 chicks in London already.

Even as a single guy, he'd still be making like $30+ million a year and wouldn't be dealing with all this mess with the wife. I really don't understand why these rich and famous guys get married in their 20s and 30s. I understand why average guys do it, but not rich and famous guys.

Why marry her in the first place, though? It's not a chick is going to leave if he doesn't marry them. Besides, prenups can get thrown out in court and don't guarentee anything.

More famous athletes need to be more like Jeter and just date.

I doubt it. He's on thin ice right now and has about $80 million at stake if Vanessa decides to go through with the divorce. All it takes is for one of those chicks to tell someone about the encounter they had with Kobe and it'll end up on TMZ or something.

He can have kids without marriage. His kids are set for life financially so he shouldn't feel bad about anything.

Don't feel bad for me as I've already had 2 chances to get married and passed on both.

Sounds like you're one of very few men who enjoys being married. However, nearly all of my recently married friends (over 10 of them) are already miserable and complaining about one thing or another.

Marriage is good for guys who don't have many options and guys who need help paying the bills.

EVERYONE I've talked to that has been married says it was a bad idea, whether if it was after a few years or 20 years. You can get a girl to be loving, dedicated, and loyal without having to put a ring on her finger and give her half of your s***.

It's funny too because each of my ex's has said "you'll never get another gf that treats you like I do" and I always find another one.

I think it's harder for athlete's to find a woman like that that isn't all about money and fame. That's why Kobe married Vanessa, because she was with him before he blew up and got to the level of success and fame he is at now.

Ask yourselves, why would Vanessa leave Kobe? For money? She has that. For another guy? Who is going to be better than Kobe? That combination of height, charisma, confidence, and looks (and likely good sex) along with being one of the alpha males in the entire world is not easily found PLUS he's the father of her children. She has no reason to ever leave him.

I think I've seen like...2 commercials featuring him in my life. Kobe has hundreds. Are you kidding? Guy has been the most marketed guy in baseball for about fifteen years now. I've seen him in just as many commercials as any other athlete in sports, and I don't even watch a lot of baseball.

But yeah, I don't really see the point of getting married if you're rich and famous yourself. Guys like Jeter and George Clooney have been living the good life.

I have to disagree with that statement. C'mon, Kobe was playing for the Lakers when he met this chick. A 21 year old already making millions. That right there is enough for a 17 year old chick to want to marry you. Even his parents warned him not to get married so young. Let me ask you something. Wouldn't you sign a prenuptial agreement in that situation? Kobe handled that situation all wrong in my opinion. Now, half of everything he's worked for will be handed to her whenever they get divorced.

Can one of you blokes enlighten me to the situation? I thought Kobe and his wife had already divorced. Did they have a change of heart?

Take it from me mates, marriage just dont make good sense for a rock n roll star. Now your generation may be different, but in my day everyone got married no matter what because its expected. If you didnt marry, it was suspected you were a bit figgy, no matter how many babes people could see you were sleepin with.

If you want to hear a song about Kobes predicament, why just look up the one I wrote, its on Youtube called Short and Curlies.

At that time Kobe had not experienced the level of fame and success for hard core gold diggers to come after him. Do you honestly think a 17 year old girl was going after Kobe for money? She was probably extremely innocent (I'd go as far as to say she may have been inexperienced with men, which many men find value in) but that is just speculation.

Obviously from the outside looking in, we can say that he should have had a pre-nup. However when you're in love and you try to prove you really want to be committed to another person, you do things because of those powerful emotions. I am pretty certain that he thought about it but she probably used the whole "if you love me you won't do it" line.

They also cover all the money he'd make after they married. Plus Kobe signed a $48 million contract with Adidas coming into the league. Dude was already a multi millionaire at age 17.

.

Kobe was already averaging nearly 20ppg for the Lakers and was the talk of LA as a 20 yr old when he met Vanessa so it's not like he was some random 12th man on the team that wasn't on the verge of stardom. I'm sure she knew she was landing a guy who was going to end up very rich pretty soon.

In fact, I think Kobe was already very rich at that point because I remember him signing a deal with Adidas shortly after getting drafted. I have no idea how much it was for, but I'm sure it was for at least $20 million.

Bro, Kobe had already been in the league a couple of years before he met her. I'm pretty sure he had his fair share of gold diggers coming after him. Lol and he met Vanessa on a rap music video shoot. She was a background dancer. Doesn't seem like a place for an innocent 17 year old. This chick was probably thirsting for fame and she found it with Kobe. Anyways we all have our theories. Mine is she's a gold digger. They probably had a time where they were truly in love. But after that whole Colorado incident, that doesn't seem likely. I've been in some deep relationships and once that trust is gone, it's not even worth it in my opinion.
