Damn, at 51 he looks like he could still have played. (Oh, he did receive a LEGITIMATE offer from the Nets, at age 50.)
Here is an interview with Russell in the late 90's (and a near 60 Wilt)...

I don't want to psychoanalyze, but this interview paints a very grim portrait of Wilt's psyche

Wilt seems like a totally cool person, watched the interview and was kinda amazed on his carefree attitude.
On of the best lines from the vid "People always wondered, where do you sleep? How big is the bed that you sleep in? It never bothered me it was pretty easy just curl up and go to sleep. People view you in a certain way because you're a foot taller or so than the average guy. To them that foot sometimes if five or six. People see you as being something much more than what I see myself as big."

Prime MJ is a poor mans Cuttino Mobley in today's era. Magic Johnson is a homeless Ramon Sessios minus the defense and athleticism. Larry Bird is a sewage workers Mike Miller with a busted back - would be lucky to make D-league today.

Thanks for posting. He seemed to be a cool guy. Had some deep thoughts about life and staff. And he looked really fit at the age of 50+

Don't disrespect MJ like that  Try Tony Allen

Dan calm down, have some soothing hot chocolate, every time someone jokes about Wilt does mean you have to get insecure about his insecurity.

Nobody is saying that New >>>> Old.
All we've been saying is that anything pre 80's in the NBA is caveman era f*ggotry that wouldn't be able to hang in today's league. Don't disrespect MJ, Magic, and Bird like that.

Chamberlain could hang in any era. He transcends eras. The man was a freak of nature.
