Oh man! You live in TO right? You can get mangosteen at a few of the markets in Chinatown. Go do it next time you're in the area.

Gruyere is amazing, I bake it onto the crust of homemade pizza. I also serve it with my jalapeno relish. Such an amazing cheese - we were getting French gruyere from the St Lawrence Market, but it seems like they only have Swiss now, which is still pretty good.

You need to spend some time with a good dog. That dog sounds like a rogue. Don't judge them all by that mother****er, and he was probably hurt by someone in the past, and lashed out.

Raccoons are great. They can get into anything, annoying as hell when they throw your garbage all over the back yard, or worse, the street, but you can't stay mad at them, they're so cute.

Our raccoon has been eating all the buds off my chili plants, he's killing me, but I can't stay mad at him.

Also, I hadn't really thought of this, but an apparent downfall to owning the likes of a Ferrari or Lamborghini these days is the amount of folks who will likely approach your car and take pictures next to it (which may be part of the draw to some owners). My friend said a Lambo was parked outside his office window last week and for the entire day he said it was just a constant stream of people approaching it, standing beside it, posing like it was their own car, and snapping photos. I imagine there was probably a significant spike in Facebook or Instagram Lambo picture uploads in the greater Lansing area that afternoon, likely every one captioned either, "Check out my new ride", "Riding dirty", or "That's how we do in the EL".

mmmnn. I make something similar with asiago or manchego. sometimes a little prosciutto or capicolla as well. Love hot cheesy popovers, and I can imagine the gruyere makes it incredible

I'm an american muscle car kind of a guy, but I certainly won't argue against the F40.

I've never had a mangosteen so I can't really argue.

I do disagree with the German Shephard. They can be quite mean for one. They're smart, but too a fault. They're runners. And their scruffy fur is a pain in the ass.

The Lab is a better dog for petting, and has the best temperment of any dog I've ever spent significant time around. And given the option I'd prefer a short haired dog. Boxer is a great breed.

As far as pests go you're probably right.

He Man would be choice for best toy. The Wrestling guys I would argue are extremely limited because they have zero mobility or posability, they smelled funny, and for whatever reason they were prone to being chewed up by animals if left out ... probably due to the awfull smell.

I have such a limited taste for cheese I'm embarressed to even make a case. I'm pretty strictly limited to American, and Fresh Mozz for sandwich purposes with an occasional Lorraine Swiss, or Provolone. I like Nacho in the orange powder form. Cheddar in the white powder form. And Velveeta in the Grilled form. Obviously I'm not in a position to argue.

I've never had a mangosteen so I can't really argue.

Thorpe, you'll like them. They look like garlic bulbs when you crack it open, and they are expensive in North America, because they are heavy. However, the weight to delicious ratio is still acceptable.

They can be mean, but it's all how they are raised. I have had 3 now, and all have been great. The best ones were both male, something about female dogs I just don't like as much.

You can't really go wrong with either of those dogs temperament wise, but labs are prone to putting weight on (even with a lot of exercise), they aren't quite as smart as shepherds, and boxers just don't look as good to me.

That's not that limited - and all cheese is great really, I even like blue cheese. Just not a fan of Mongolian "cheese". Yuck.

My friend had one back when I was a volunteer lifeguard, about 1999. I was up on the surf club deck eating an icecream watching people through binoculars, and this massive black blur jumped up beside me, almost the same height as me..... and took my icecream right out of my hand, freaked me out big time. It was my friend's dog called Max.

I would argue that a great pyr is equal in all those measures to a shepherd. they have the added advantage of being not nearly as highstrung.
plus, they look like Falcor the luck dragon!

I always liked newfies and irish wolfhounds, but now I only want great pyrs in the world.


As for Utah, I like it. Here for work. Took a job as the curator of archaeology at an awesome museum in a little town. Beautiful landscape all around, awesome archaeology, and tons of naive young mormon girls. What more could I ask for?

nice property. Seriously, **** the newfie. look into a pyr. We have lived on several different properties (3-5 acres) that were cattle fenced. never left the boundary (might go through to bark at longhorns or something, but not really), did a perimeter patrol several times a night (including around the tent my mother in law stayed in), dont need walks with that kind of property and are basically a big cuddly white cloud who intimidates all strangers.

These are all hard to argue, but I'll give it a shot. The first one may be the easiest for me if only because for as intensely attracted as I am to Diane Lane, I actually like her now much more than I did during the 80s.

For the 90s the first name that comes to mind is probably Pam Anderson, however I was never a huge fan. Perhaps Jennifer Anniston.

Now is a little hard to calculate because we're in the middle of it, so no one knows who will have the required staying power (a bit of an erection pun for you).


Best movie for any mood, I go with Goodfellas easily. It's filled with moments. It's filled with quotable lines. It's dramatic. It's funny. It's quickly paced. It can be picked up pretty much anywhere. And it's on constantly.
Frankly, for as much as I loved Gump at the time, and I think I was a senior in HS at the time, so it was right in my wheelhouse, it hasn't aged great. It's too long, and parts of it are extremely dry. The running for example is tedious.
