Sounds like:

Lakers:
Dwight

Sixers:
Bynum
Richardson

Denver:
Iggy

Orlando:
Harkless
Vucevic
Harrington
Afflalo
Three 1sts

Lakers giving up Bynum and a 1st for Howard.

Sixers giving up Iggy, Harkless, Vucevic and a 1st for Bynum.

Denver giving up Harrington, a 1st for Iggy (assuming there is something more coming from their end, maybe Wilson Chandler to Philly?)

Orlando is giving up Dwight for Vucevic, Harkless, Harrington and three 1sts.

Without Pau this trade is a fail for the Magic. Every team pretty much trades a late draft pick to upgrade by a lot, except for Orlando who downgrade completely and now are in the running for the worst record in the league.

A source with direct knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com's Marc Stein the Lakers will receive Howard, the Denver Nuggets will acquire Andre Iguodala, the 76ers will receive Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams.

In addition, the Magic will be getting other pieces, including 76ers No. 1 draft pick Moe Harkless, a source told Stein.

Nuggets: Andre Iguodala
76ers: Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson

A 6th or 7th ring for Kobe does not put him in Jordan's league. Even moreso now that it appears that he will, once again, be playing with the best center in the league who is also one of the 3-5 best players in the league.

Not even Stern giving them the #1 pick in 2013 could make up for what they are about to do. Orlando is taking the worst deal I have ever seen for a Top 5 player in the NFL.

Maybe in 10 years it won't look as bad for Orlando, but in presentation only this is the worst trade in NBA history.

Uh, no. Kobe didn't sign with the Lakers. Kobe didn't even actively recruit Dwight or Nash. The Lakers also didn't hold a victory parade and Kobe didn't guarantee multiple championships. I'll be serious now. It really is amazing how lucky Kobe's been throughout his career. He's now played with two of the most dominant centers in the history of the game, along with a season of playing with the second best center in the game. Add the fact LA kept Gasol, who is still a top 5-7 power forward in the league, and signed Steve Nash... well, you have to wonder if Kobe sold his soul to the devil.

And his very best year was spent playing with smush parker

Trade is nice for everyone but Orlando. This is what they were holding out for? Three late 1st rounders and a bunch of trash? At least get a lottery team in the mix so the draft picks aren't so lousy.

I really believe the Lakers grease other owners under the table to make these trades happen. They're so baffling that they can't be explained otherwise. There were so many better deals out there, and they go with THIS?

So the Lakers are keeping Gasol now? So they're going to have a frontcourt of Howard and Gasol and backcourt of Nash and Kobe? As a Thunder fan, I'd be lying if I said this didn't upset me.

One thing's for sure, if they keep Gasol and Kobe doesn't have a major fall-off production wise, he should get just as much heat as LeBron did in 2011 if he doesn't at least make the Finals in 2013.

This is irrational. Lebron was ringless after 9 years and wet the bed like no superstar ever has in the Finals. Kobe already has 5 rings. He's only adding to his legacy.

It's not really luck. I'd say the Lakers are more lucky to have player the calibre of Kobe who's been committed to being the best player he can be for 17 seasons. Kobe, Gasol, and Nash are declining. It'll come down to Dwight and his health, and whether Kobe can put aside his ego and let Howard do his thing. The Lakers have a lot of talent, but if Kobe keeps shot jacking this could get ugly fast. Bynum may have had a bad attitude, but Dwight will have no problem going public if Kobe plays as selfishly as he did last season. His usage rate was asinine.

Hate all you want on the idiocy of the Magic and Kobe's lucky ass, but you can't put the heat on Kobe for the Lakers having a good trade chip in 'Drew and a retarded trading partner.

Sorry, I spoke out in anger in the heat of the moment. Right now (at this moment going off their roster on paper) he has little excuse to not at least make the finals. Obviously that's going to change as the season progresses and we see how much of a drop-off Kobe and Nash have in their 17th seasons. But going into the season, they're most certainly in that top tier of teams with Miami and OKC.

Not really because I don't think they will make the leap people expect. I still think with the additions the Clippers have made the teams can compete for the pacific division although the chances obviously go down some. I think people need to remember the 04 Lakers who added just out of prime Payton and Malone and couldn't get it done.

Not saying this will happen but it's far from a lock or guarantee for the Lakers to be in the finals let alone winning the title. We have to see how all the talent gels and how good the teams around them get.

why on earth would denver trade a first round pick and AF for AI

orando has to be the dumbest of all time

Is this a serious question?

They're getting rid of Al Harrington, Aaron Afflalo and a draft pick in the mid 20s for one of the premier perimeter defenders, as well as one of the most "all around talented" players in the league. Iggy is the definition of a team player, when asked to score, he can score. When asked to facilitate offense, he can facilitate offense. He rebounds at a great rate for someone his size, blocks shots, steals. This is an excellent pickup for Denver.

You are watching different basketball than I am if you think Aaron Afflalo is near the same caliber player that Andre Igudola is. It's also ignorant to think they won't improve at all between last season and this season.

The Nuggets are giving up their 5th & 8th most talented players (Lawson, Chandler, Gallo, McGee) to get the best player on the Sixers.

Iggy is sizeable step up from Afflalo, denver is one of the deepest teams in the league mid tweenties pick isn't important.
And 3 games in the western confernce can mean quite a bit if you check the standings from previous seasons.

Wow, just wow.

It's some deal! But I think the Orlando GM has figured out Lopez is of no real worth unless other good players are already in place, too much money and not good enough of a player + he's shown bad health.

Basically what Orlando did is the same as if they would have just let him go in FA only it's speeded up by a year and they've gotten a few pieces extra.

Exactly, the hypocrisy is inevitable from Laker fans though.

its not hypocrisy. they did it first.

there was a system, you get a star, you get an all star as a 2nd option, then you get a nice supporting cast.

Once that changed, and it was lebron that did that, its now a different game. Its a different NBA.
