View Full Version : The Heat will have some tough decisions between 2014-2016. Lebron will walk...

The Heat are so limited until the 2016/2017 season. Bosh & Wade will continue to pick up their player options because no other team will pay them 20mil per season even though they will have declined sooooo much as players. The plan of offering old guys limited money to come play with The Big 3 won't work when it's the 1 + 2 declining players. Lebron will basically be playing with a Cavs squad at that point. So either Lebron will walk or Miami will have to trade Bosh/Wade for another top notch player (which won't happen).

Lebron will be 29 in 2014. I bet people would still want to play with him. The best player in the league in a attractive place like Miami? No worries.

Wilt
Dwight Howard
Steve Nash
Jerry West
Kareem
Gasol

lol let me stop f*cking with you. But to the OP i always thought Lebron would go back to Cleveland to fufill on his promise. I just have a weird feeling he would do that but who knows?

LBJ has to go to LAL. Wade is already washed up b then but D12 would still be in his prime. Either LAL or OKC.

Im not saying he's definitely coming to the Lakers but that's my point he would have better options than the Heat in those years.

Miami can't offer any money to those players though. Lebron is supposed to continue to carry old guys because those will be the only players that they could feasibly attract.

Bosh is only going to get better even with wade's "decline"

He is opting out no matter what because he will still be good enough to get another max contract imo. I think he would rather tend to unfinished business in Cleveland. But I could for sure see him going to LA. All really depends on how Wade ages.

I'd like it if LeBron went back to Cleveland to try to win a championship there, but only if that insufferable commentator got replaced.

But...that's just a pipe dream of mine. At this rate, he'll probably end up on the Lakers along with Durant.

I think he milks what he can out of this group in Miami and than probably moves on unless Riley is able to re-tool. Lebron and Bosh will be a great combo for a long time. Wade should hold up until 2014. Going to be interesting to see what happens.

In 2014 so many teams will be better than the Heat for Lebron. He could play with Paul & Griffin in LA, Rose & maybe Bynum in Chicago, Irving & Waiters in Cleveland, Dwight in LA, Westbrook & Durant in OKC. It's gonna be CRAZY

LeBron is going to retire either a Heat or Cav. I honestly don't see it any other way.

Good lord do Miami fans have no pride in their team? Season hasn't even started and they're openly talking about Lebron signing on another team. Jesus

Agree. I would like him to go back to the Cavs someday if he can, it'd be interesting to say the least. It'd be awesome if he was able to redeem himself to the Cavs fans, but that may prove very very difficult. It'd be cool to see him stay in Miami too of course or if St. Louis gets a team again he can come here

Lebron isn't a loyal guy. He doesnt care about anyone but Lebron he's gonna go where its best for him to compete and the Heat won't be his best option starting in 2014.

I wouldn't say its just Lebron needing to redeem himself. Maybe this time the Cavs can actually put a good team around him. It goes both ways imo. I just think the idea of leading Cleveland to a title will tempt him more than LA.

Like serious what the hell happened to staying on a team and trying to make your team better?

Worry less about LeBron, and more about the fact that Dwight could very well walk next year.

A declining Kobe, a near 40-year old Nash? Dwight being a Laker beyond this year is anything but certain.

You got to remember that part of the reason he went to Miami was that he is best friends with Wade. He is cool with Kobe, but how long is Kobe going to be an elite player? Will Dwight re-sign in LA? Who will they replace Gasol with? A lot can happen until 2014. For all we know he can find his way on the Nets or something.

He's already in a marketable and highly desirable city, he's not going anywhere.
A lot of young bloods are huge Miami and Lebron fans right now, once they're rookie contracts are up, they're going to Miami.
Plus no income tax.

He still fulfills his contracts. That's good enough for me. As long as a guy gives it his all while playing for a team, I don't know how much more you can ask for. The most loyal NBA players I can think of that I watched play are Jordan, Bird, Magic, Kobe, Duncan, and Dirk. Obviously LeBron doesn't fit in that category, but after 7 years of waiting for help, he had to move on.

Again Im not saying Lebron will be a Laker in 2014 but Im saying he won't be on the Heat. Lebron is also very good friends with CP3 and playing with him & Griffin will be much better than an older Wade & Bosh as well. So many options for him in 2014.

The Heat won't have the cap room to sign any top free agents until the 2016/2017 season. Lebron won't wait.

Different era of players.

Why can't some fans adapt when the ppl they're idolizing can and has already adapted? :confusedshrug: Gone are the days when guys like Jordan HATED Isaiah. Durant and LBJ and exchanging jokes. Different times, man.

He is going to shock the world and form a superteam in Milwaukee with CP3 and Dwight

Some would, some wouldn't. But this is a city that hasn't won a championship since the 60's. I don't see Gilbert passing on the marketing either. Lebron brings a shit ton of revenue to any team.
