J.Lin = 6'3, 200 lbs, and as quick as D.Rose--quicker even, since D.Rose is done.

Damn man. People underrate the sh** out of him as a pure physical specimen. Dude is probably 6'4 210 right now and athletic as hell... and fast as a son of a B. When I watched him play athletically he reminded me of a less explosive D Rose. People keep acting like he was a one hit wonder but you don't have a 15 game stretch like that if it's a one time deal. Maybe he won't be dropping 25+ every other game again as defenses get used to him but something like 18, 4 and 7 etc isn't by any means unrealistic with a good coach like Mchale.

Jeremy Lin' probably has more athleticism than he does skill and is probably more reliant towards his athleticism than his skill for his game.

The only real skill Lin honestly has is his shooting ability and while it's very good, he doesn't have much else to offer in terms of skill. Everyone knows his handles suck and he is a turnover machine but he isn't that good of a passer either. His defense gets underrated though but I wouldn't qualify defense as a skill anyways.

Lin's potential comes from his athleticism and his physical skills but he will be a flash in the pan if he does not work on his skills. However, knowing Lin I'm pretty sure he has been working hard this off-season to work on his game and skills and to make sure he won't be a flash in the pan.

Looks like he might have added some bulk, doesn't look like much though. Once the season starts rolling around, he will probably lean out a bit.

Overrating him as an athlete a bit in here. The way Lin has to work so hard for every point he scores, for every guy he blows past - as guys like Rose and Wade and Westbrook simply don't - suggests a guy with a ceiling of lower-level all-star. Which is a very good player but he can't be prime Wade or anything. You get guys with that kind of athleticism a few times a generation. Lin has to be one of the guys who makes it as a human and not as some freakishly talented machine.

Good for him! It's hard not to root for Lin, even when you don't buy into all the hype. Nice to see that he is not just focussing on his game but also on his physical strength.

On a side note, fitness and working out has been all the rage in the asian community lately. Everybody getting buff and doing shakes and what not. Not a few of them but like 80% of them dudes (not the girls)

I won't even try to pretend that I'm on board with the Lin signing. I don't like it. I certainly hope he ends up being a good signing, but I have big doubts. I just don't like shoot-first PGs. I just hope he can play well enough to be tradeable if the Rockets need to go in another direction.

Jeremy is great. He will have a case for best point guard in the league soon. He is big, strong, and quick as anything for a point guard with great finishing ability and some nice moves (very good eurostep).

Lin playing some pickup BBall, from a few weeks back - knee looks fine, judging by the dunk
Looking D-Wade'ish on some moves

People underestime Lin's physique because he has asian blood on his body. As easy as that. It's also the reason he was overlooked. Sad truth but still the truth.
