Basically if you aren't good enough to sign with Nike, then you're injury prone.

Cushioning has a lot to do with back support actually but I'm not suggesting in this thread it's the shoes fault necessarily I just think it's crazy all their stars are injured (for whatever reason)

Nike was blamed back in 86 when MJ and several others broke their feet. Made big changes I believe.

There'a s reason Nike spends billions of dollar on their shoes' performance/research/etc. Guess what happened to Grant Hill after he stopped weraing Filas and wore Nikes?

heres some info for you guys. ever since rose has started wearing adidas made extra light shoes, he has always been injured. starting last season in the playoffs where he began the playoffs wearing adidas crazylights, guess what he twisted his ankle twice against the pacers and was never the same through the playoffs. then this year he wore his adizeros for the whole season and look how that turned out. :facepalm

I'm not sure I'd say he injured his ankle due to wearing Fila's. He sprained that ankle (like you can in any shoe) then continued playing on that ankle throughout Detroit's first round playoff series in 2000, at which point he broke that ankle. This then led to a series of surgeries and perhaps most seriously, a case of MRSA, which apparently nearly killed him.

If it makes you feel better, Hakeem Olajuwon rocked Spalding and Glen Rice may have worn Warner Bros. at some point.

Amare's had his own sig shoes before his surgery in 2006.
