He's pretty much a shooter with really good basketball IQ. He's not exactly a true point as he played the 2 in college and lived off of getting open for a spot-up J, Iunno, I guess he just learned in his time being on the national team form a coach who was very very good.

WHERE IS IT?! :milton:

Just kidding. :oldlol: Anyway, wow, I'm honestly surprised Hodge and Ellis were picked THAT late. I honestly had both of them going 2 & 3. Then again, I haven't watched many D-League games and I'm just going by the minimal stuff I've seen and word of mouth. Oh, and the fact that my best friend got posterized by Cliff when they played pick-up. I haven't heard much of that Mallari dude though. I know the background, but I've seen nothing on whether he was good enough to really play or not. Well, players may fatigue and lose their skills during the course of the game, but they surely won't get smaller after the 1st quarter.

I honestly like Dillinger. I really hope he has a breakout season and also does well in Gilas because I think he could well be the most complete player right now. I think he definitely has the physical attributes, athleticism, and skills to dominate the league.

I haven't watched a lot of PBA lately (before the break) but I honestly think Japeth's not good enough to play in the league AS HE IS NOW. He has some upside, but right now, I don't think he's anything except big.

Lebron23
09-12-2012, 10:23 AM
Japeth is very athletic, but he has a low basketball IQ. I wish him luck in the US. Playing in the NBDL will make him a much tougher player. He was benched by Reyes because he has an attitude problem.

Exactly. He seems to me, essentially, a Filipino Javale McGee with a decent jumpshot. And I heard about that too. I heard playing in the States for college kinda blew his head up. :\

Iran pummels Gilas in FIBA Asia Cup semis, 77-60
By Alder Almo (philstar.com) Updated September 21, 2012 05:44 PM Comments (0) View comments
SHARE: facebook share facebook yahoo buzz yahoo! buzz

MANILA, Philippines – Smart Gilas Pilipinas kissed their final hopes goodbye in a lackluster 77-60 loss to Iran in their semifinal clash Friday in the 2012 FIBA Asia Cup in Tokyo, Japan.

Iran used a big second half to turn the close game into a rout and moved on to the Finals against the winner of the Japan-Qatar.

After a 30-all halftime break, Iran exploded bridging the last minute of the third canto and the start of the payoff period with a 12-0 run to erect a 64-47 spread.

Gary David’s free throws in the 1:15 mark cut Iran’s lead to just three, 50-47, but the Filipinos were held scoreless in the next six minutes.

While Gilas came out flat in the fourth quarter, Iran fired from all cylinders. Big man Asghar Khardoustpoustinsaraei connived with Sahmad Nikkah Bahrami and Mohmmad Jamshidi Jafarabadi in that telling 12-0 run.

Gilas failed to find a spark to rally back into the game as the Nationals fell to as many as 20 points.

Khardoustpoustinsaraei outplayed naturalized center Marcus Douthit, who sat out the final 8:06 of the game. The Iranian big man finished with 13 points on four of seven shooting and grabbed seven boards and made Douthit’s life miserable inside the paint.

After a mammoth 19-point and 18-rebound effort yesterday against Chinese Taipei, Douthit could only muster 11 points and seven boards while battling Khardoustpoustinsaraei and foul trouble.
