Mj and Hakeem
As a duo, they'd kill. That's hard to stop.
Theyd make others better and they wouldn't take away from each others game

From this era D-Wade and D-Howard. Wade would split that pick and roll all day long and he would still have Howard for a lob.

Pippen - Kobe (I think I'd be funny to see if they have more success)
Grant Hill - T-Mac (I was left with the boner of watching them play together)
JKidd - Dwight
CWebb - Iverson
Kobe Lebron. Lebron playmakes and Kobe shoots all day

I think Jordan and Shaq would be better than Jordan and Dream.
Shaq could get his off offensive Boards and let Jordan Work and the same goes for Jordan, he could get his off cuts and slashes.
Dream would work better with Bird, he's accustomed to the inside out game , with Mchale.
12 Lebron and 00 Shaq...

Lebron and Shaq wouldn't fit that well.
Lebron and Shaq wouldn't fit that well.
How come? If Shaq could fit with Kobe, he would fit with Lebron even more considering he is much more unselfish
Imagine that pick n roll? I can see Lebron just constantly driving in and lobbing it up to Shaq and if no help comes then Lebron is open for a dunk or Lebron just giving it in the post to Shaq and if he gets double/triple teamed then Lebron cuts in and voila (Shaq was a great passer from there).... surround them with just shooters and now you have a team that would scramble the opposing defenses more so than anything ever :pimp:

Well I see a couple problems.
Shaq in the Lane really reduces the space Lebron has to work with on his drives. His mid range J isn't elite and he's never really worked weakside.
The way Shaq and Kobe worked sometimes, it was clear that Phil wanted Kobe to work more Iso's and take the midrange J's to clear up the lane and let Shaq get his on the boards.
Lebron would likely have to change his game alot , in terms of immediately posting Shaq and then waiting....
Pick and roll is a fantasy, the reality is that Shaq always hated Pick and Roll in his prime, he was not mobile enough to maximize his effectiveness in it.
Maybe with Shooters it could work to be honest, but I don't like it , It takes away from Brons game and what he can do for me, Iso scorers who can slash are a better fit with Shaq.

Magic and Shaq
with 3 athletic Swingmen to run and shoot.
Would be the most entertaining thing ever with Magic running the break and Shaq just dunking on people down low in the halfcourt.

seems like a lot of answers are for the best two on two pairing not the best pairing within a five on five.

Michael Jordan & Wilt Chamberlain
- Wilt from when he was averaging 50.4 ppg, 25.7 rebounds, and surely a bunch of block.
- Young Jordan with around 35 ppg, 6 assists, 2.5 steals etc...
Wilt scores inside and can't be stopped, rebounds, plays great defense.
Jordan does was Jordan does.

2006 kobe and 2000 shaq
if young kobe and prime shaq were that dominant with little to no help except for a few solid role players
imagine their impact if kobe was absolute prime instead of boarderline
i also say this because kobe and shaq have proven they compliment each other well and kobe can average 30ppg as a 2nd option.
its hard to say if any other guy whos never played behind anyone that well could do the same

Thanks man.
I wonder if playing with KG as a defensive anchor would have inspired T-Mac to go back to his Scottie Pippen-esque lockdown defense potential displayed in Toronto.
Very intriguing combo of two long, versatile players.

Shaq & Wilt
UnFreakingStoppable
Nobody is scoring in the paint and Shaq and
Wilt would obliterate the front court of any team and would
foul out all their frontline players and then they'll have to get worse extremely mismatched replacements which would get destroyed.Itll be two points AUTOMATICALLY and if they miss they'll keep possession cause nobody is getting any rebounds over them.Even Fast Breaks wouldn't necessarily work all the time either c Wilt was known as a world class sprinter and Shaq wasn't really slow either.
The opponents would just have to really on them missing their free throws and shooting an extremely high percentage which not likely.
They would get 40 ft a game,40 rbs a game,10+blocks a game and just be
UTTERLY UNSTOPPABLE.!
Wilt&R Miller
Bird&Duncan
Wade&Bird

Surprised alot of posters havent said Jordan/Shaq or Jordan/kareem. Hell even a guard combo of Jordan/Bird or Jordan/Magic would be nasty as hell.
As far as an inside/outside duo of domination, you would have to pick Jordan and Shaq.

This is actually a very logical pairing, and if Shaq had made it to the 92 Dream Team, we would've been able to see it.

If I'm picking a perimeter player and big guy who each can literally have all the bases covered on offense, versatility, and defense, then I gotta go with MJ and Hakeem. KG was close to being my big, but I gotta have Dream's dominance on the block.
If I'm picking the best fit, then Bird and Shaq would be EPIC! Bird could space the floor great and he's also arguably the greatest passing forward ever. Shaq is a great passer outta of double teams off the block. It's a perfect fit and Bird can also help Shaq on the boards as well. Bird can even slide to the PF and drop sick dimes from the high post to Shaq. Shaq could still kick out to Bird in the midrange-elbow area to do damage.
In terms of the most physically dominant permieter-big man tandem, u gotta go with Lebron-Shaq! In terms of pairing a great PG who can pass great and shoot great along with a great player who's a stretch PF, then look no further than Nash-Dirk!
Right now:
