Why is he tripping over some ho? There's plenty more where that came from, especially for someone with his status.

will only serve 3 because he is serving all of his sentences concurrently.

Such a shame to throw away your future like that.
His girlfriend actually tried to defend him at the trial.

I've seen worse shit that never got anyone in trouble, working as a bouncer.

She, that's why he's in jail.

He should have got a lawyer.

BA DUM TISH.

But seriously, if she felt that bad for him why didn't she drop the charges (assuming she pressed them). It's at this point I must stress my grasp of law is next to nothing, so, I don't know if it's possible to take a human being to court and send them to jail, even if the victim(s) don't want it to come to that.

Man, what good will this prison sentence do? He's still young, obviously headed to college and has a chance to do something good with his life. Give him another punishment..

ugh, didn't he drag his girlfriend by her hair to his car and then kidnapped her or some shit?

Dude sounds like a legit asshole and if he got out this time he'll probably end up getting arrested in 3-4 years time.

Do you not know what he did or something? Or do you not care because he is good at basketball?

The stupid ***** is going where he belongs, locked up in a cage.

What exactly did he do? And why is his girlfriend asking for them to let him off the hook?

Farmer assaulted Lane, dragged her by her hair outside the building and then took her cellphone, bank card, computer and car keys in a scene that was captured on video outside her apartment building.

Probably because like most dumb b!tches, she had a spontaneous recovery, meaning she just suddenly loved him again and started trusting him and forgetting all the stupid things he just did to her, or she had stockholm syndrome.

I think she has been abused so long she is messed up in the head, like those abused housewives that make excuses and blame themselves for when their husbands beat them. That's why the law sometimes has to take action.

I saw a report on this case on the young turks youtube account, you can see the video of him attacking her. The way she flinches when he approaches her i dont think this is the first time he has hit her. Supposedly after he was charged he sent her threatening text messages.

how can anyone defend this dude? just from that world star hip hop video you can tell that girl is used to getting beat down by him. like she knows what he's capable of where she's so afraid she crumples in the corner for her life. i mean thats legit fear there. a normal chick would still be standing and be like "wtf u gonna do?" until she gets dropped, and then she'd end up like this girl....

surprised this isn't bigger news. he must have had a lot of priors to get 7 years, even if it only ends up 3.

Man , it's pretty sad to see a kid with such a bright futures life go down the drain like that. Oh well, he shoulda thought about that before he went beatin his girl. I wonder if she cheated on him, i know most guys wish they could unleash rage in that situation... good thing most don't. :facepalm

Lance Stephenson's old lady had his back after he allegedly stomped her head on a step too. Charges got dropped so it is what it is I guess, but these girls see dollar signs and are willing to "overlook" it.

Honestly the tears/reactions from both the mom and Farmar aren't a remorse. They look more like "Oh shit... I'll never make the NBA and get rich" kind of reactions. The mom has that "what am I going to do now" look rather than OMG my son is going to prison. He got what he deserved and should have possibly gotten worse. Somebody that used to be a childhood friend of mine did something similar to this and just got 8 years but was up for 15-20 so this guy got off pretty easy.

thats tru.

and he did get off easy, they knew it was kinda a heat of a moment thing (aside from the texts he sent later) but u never hit a lady so 3 years is definitely gettin off the hook. as far as his bball career.. hes screwed

Beating someone you are in a relationship with like that just shows how ****ed up you are. I'm happy he aint gonna have a chance to play in the NBA. Three years or seven years won't change him for any better though that much is clear.

this .. look at that video .. looks like he's beating down on a kid .. that's how smaller she is compared to him .. real tough guy there ..

I have a question though, about his career being done .. he'll be out at 21 .. that's still very young .. why couldn't he still pursue bball ? .. is it because he's going to get blackballed by colleges/nba ? .. it's not like these institutions/organizations haven't been forgiving of criminal activity in the past

You lose three years of serious development. No coaching, no great competiton, lots of lock down time...that shit will stunt your growth and deteriorate your skills, just ask Shyne.

Your boy Mayweather was even bitching over a 3-4month stint because he won't get enough calories to stay in peak physical condition

The sentence is excessive in my opinion. I would have given him 6 months in a half-way house.

He can hit the weights, get jacked, and play mad prison ball. The D league will seem like a breeze when he gets done with his sentence.

Lol he wasn't a lock for the nba...what are his chances after three years in jail when most rookies get drafted at 19-20 after an important developmental year in the NCAA...

But like others have said, the sentence will probably be reduced....which is a good thing IMO, because he will learn the same valuable lesson after 8months that he would after 3 years...the difference? He has a chance to get rehabilitated and become a productive member of society....after 3years and his dreams completely crushed? Another angry black male with a criminal record and no education....

The point of the judicial system is to rehabilitate, not to avenge and punish....eye for an eye means you're left with two half blind pirate lookin muphuckas that society has to look after
