They're still only a dollar or 2 right? I ate so many of these when I was hungover in NY.

My favorite is fish tacos in Ensenada. Just make sure the fish come from an ice chest WITH ice in it and not a cardboard box

I'm actually surprised by the rep NYC has for hot dogs.
If you get out to Coney Island definitely go to Nathan's, but if not buying a pack of Nathan's franks from the store will be better than most street cart hot dogs in NY.

And Gray's Papaya is great too.... I love the papaya drink, but neither them or Nathan's are street food.

The trend in NYC is going towards food trucks like this which serves burgers and Belgian Frites. You can get Angus or Waygu meat.
http://newyorkstreetfood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/truck5.JPG
The trend is towards upscale fast food or just upscale food in general like the Bistro Truck.

Who would've known dog can be cooked in so many different ways. Then again, if someone knows about street food it has to be you, our resident little pilipino transexual *** who takes it in the pooper for peanuts.

One of the few things I remember from my family's short trip to Portland when I was 6 was in downtown there were tons of street carts with a bunch of food from different ethnic backgrounds. There was even a cart that mixed Indian Thai and Mexican into this weird fusion cuisine that resulted in products like "curry fishhead tacos" that my dad brought for me and my brother.

Portland had an awesome little mexican cart/car thing in a square when I was there. Can't remember where exactly, but it was delicious!
There was also an awesome waffle place in Victoria, BC.

Here in Spain there is no tradition of eating on the street, probably because of the tapas culture. The only street food you usually see are churros, and roasted chestnuts in winter.
