RIPYou know, sometimes film can make moderately sized men appear huge, but Michael Clark-Duncan really was a big dude. I've always enjoyed his movie roles and his passing inspired me to take a deeper look at his life (via Wikipedia, of course). Some fun facts:

-His fiance was Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, of The Apprentice fame. Had they been married, I'm sure she would have taken one set of surnames or the other, but it's interesting to picture the name Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth-Clarke-Duncan.

-One of his jobs growing up, thanks to his size, was digging ditches for a gas company.

-He also stripped at one point. His stage name: Black Caesar.

-He was one of the first 100 people to run on the field during Disco Demolition night at a White Sox game in 1979 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dRVQfOnl6A). He slid into third base then had his belt buckle stolen while he himself was stealing a bat from the dugout.

He may have. But I'm not as certain with him as I am with other actors. He seemed to have an unnatural size though. I don't mean by the numbers, I mean he was massive in his prime, but just the proportion seemed off. He just didn't look normal. Could have been something that was just in his genetics.

His heart troubles make all too much sense. And this is very sad because he was a wonderful actor and by all accounts a better human being. Far too early for this man to have left this existence.

i remember in an interview he said he was moving to a an all vegan diet after his first heart attack because of his doctor's urgings. he was apparently a huge meat eater his whole life. i'm not talking about a steak here or there, but lots of red meat as the main course (two meals a day).

anyway, i think the first film i remember him in was scorpion king (took me a few years to get GM).

As other posters have said very rarely does a celeb death bum me out but this guy seemed like a genuinely good person and he was obviously an extremely talented and versatile actor. My mom actually met him and said he was a gentlemen and made time to talk with her and the people she was with.

Last time I felt anything for a celeb death was when Steve Irwin died. Sucky thing is I just watched Green Mile last week so he's fresh in my mind :( .
