Do people seriously think Parker is better then Nash? :facepalm
I'd love to see Parker lead last year's Phoenix squad to a .500 record.
Impact wise, Nash has always been and still is the better point guard then Parker. Even at 39, I'd take Nash over Parker to run my team in a heart-beat.
It's really sad how underrated Howard & Nash became on this forum as soon as they were traded to the Lakers. Howard's impact defensively and Nash's ability to run the offense is invaluable. It's their niche, and they are legends for it.
Like I said before, without even getting Nash: the Lakers would have probably won the title this upcoming season. The guy is simply that good, that unselfish, that intelligent and that great of a leader.
Unfortunately, he's just an old has-been now.
Wonder why.

Durant could have easily beat lebrons team if his teammates were dropping 3's the way lebrons team was dropping 3's.
You dont gotta come to the rescue every time somebody doesnt praise lebron the way you want them too, there are other great players in the league too.

PG:
1. Chris Paul (this is the projected pick, because Nash is the same and I expect Paul to take a jump)
2. Steve Nash
3. Rajon Rondo
4. Deron Williams
5. Derrick Rose (but the next year will make a huge jump)
Russell Westbrook...people will be upset, but I couldn't give any less of a shit. However, he will be ahead of Rose for the year. I don't think he'll have as good a year as the one he just had, and maybe Parker has a better season again (tho Westbrook was massive in the closeout against SA and parts of the Finals)
Tony Parker (deserves a shout out, and I expect another strong season)
Breakout year: Kevin Lowry. Toronto will make the playoffs.
SG:
1. Kobe Bryant (I think will be a lot better with Nash)
2. Dwyane Wade (I thought he was passing Kobe, but injuries...)
3. Manu Ginobili (will be healthy and will be Manu, their best player)
4. Eric Gordon (not easy, but will be too integral to New Orleans to be below...)
5. James Harden (the year after will take a massive jump)
SF:
1. Lebron James (the best player in basketball, bar none)
2. Kevin Durant
3. Paul Pierce (when he gets old, call me)
4. Carmelo Anthony
5. Gerald Wallace (Rudy Gay is talented and annoying, whereas this guy will have a career year and get his due)
PF:
1. Dirk Nowitzki (far from losing this title)
KG, Pau, Love, LMA, Amare, Bosh, Smith, Randolph, Griffin...in about any order you'd like.
Center:
1. Dwight Howard
2. Andrew Bynum
3. Marc Gasol (how much more underrated can a man be?)
4. DeMarcus Cousins (watch the jump)
5. Tim Duncan (I'll trust him enough to keep him here for now)
Honorable Mention: Joakim Noah (too consistent and good at a lot of things...with Rose out, he better take the lead and jump)
A lot of other guys fighting it out, but this seems fair for C.

How did Chris Bosh suddenly become a worse player? He was a top 5 PF pretty much his whole time in the league, yet as soon as he came to the Heat hes dropped off in his peak playing years at about 27-29 years old?
Aldridge, Blake, Josh Smith better than Bosh? Really? I don't see it.

Bosh doesn't have have a low post game like those guys. On the Heat he is a glorified jumpshooter. Aldridge has a better jump shot than Bosh on top of being a better rebounder/shot blocker/low post player. Don't really see the argument for Bosh over a guy like Aldridge and I'm a Bosh fan.
I'd take blake over bosh just because of the potential his athletic ability has. He's averaging 20-10 year in year out with some glaring fundamental flaws in his game, imagine when he works some of those outs. Blake is more explsovie around the rim, and a better rebounder. I don't think Bosh's advantage of length and jumpshot is enough to be better than Blake.
I'd definetly take Bosh over J. Smith though.

Its because these people only see stats. Last years finals he was playing excellent D (at least in help defense) and playing off Lebron and Wade two ballstoppers so it makes sense for his number to go down. He has the same problem as Gasol, he is a finesse player so people think he's soft.:facepalm
He surprise me a lot last year since I am was in the AF BMT and couldn't watch the games so last time I saw him was in 2011. But I definetly think he's pretty good and one of my fav players if he continue with the same mentality.
@MiamiThrice: Without Bosh, Lebron would be ringless by now and people would continue to make fun of him so think about that for a minute.

When people try to downgrade Miami's accomplishments, Bosh is a Top 5 PF in a stacked team. Other times, he is a soft player not even worthy of Top 7.
Truth is Bosh is a ****in beast that steps up in big moments, he has been a Top 5 PF past 2 years, when it mattered. He can go ham if he gets touches, he helped the Heat plenty of times with his scoring, defense and most importantly drawing a big out of the paint to help Bron/Wade. He is 2nd most vital player on the team, on paper you may see others have better stats, but Bosh has actual impact. ****in useless Aldridge/Blake can keep statpadin, Bosh will keep getting championships and helping his team in ways the others can't even dream of. I would give anything to get Bosh on the Bulls, he is a perfect fit.

Oh really?
Take any top 3 player off of any championship team and the chances are that they don't win it all. Winning a title is NEVER easy. Do you really read this shit before you type it?
Bosh is a legit all-star, just not as good as guys like Aldridge/Gasol/Griffin/Dirk/Love/KG.

-Power Forward is a tough position to rank. Lots of good players with valid arguments.
-Based on last season, I would still have Steve Nash as a top 5 point guard. I don't think he'll maintain that status with the Lakers, though. Team is too stacked, will play reduced role.
-I see Kyrie Irving making a push towards the top 5 this season or next.

Durant could have easily beat lebrons team if his teammates were dropping 3's the way lebrons team was dropping 3's.
You dont gotta come to the rescue every time somebody doesnt praise lebron the way you want them too, there are other great players in the league too.
That and the referees. Lebron had two great games in the playoffs when the season was on the line, but he did not outplay Durant in the finals, his teammates did. With the right calls and Ibaka and Harden playing half the game they were capable of, Durant would have been the champ, and right now Lebron would have been entering his tenth season without a ring (Stern's worst dream).
I said Durant > Lebron last year, but after the playoffs, I'm willing to say Durant = Lebron.
LeBron is CLEARLY the best in the NBA. Our friend Pegs is clearly in denial and obviously didn't watch the finals.

what the hell does it matter? you run in every thread and berate people that don't believe LeBron James is a god among mortals. What does it matter if everyone on this website believes he is the best player in the league? How is that going to impact your life, because you attempt to reinforce that point like it's your sole purpose.
