The font will take some getting used to but overall the uniforms are an upgrade.

I've seen that new font on some of the Knicks clothing store on the NBA store website slast November so I'm already used to it.

I don't especially like soccer though. Outside of watching El Clasico,Champions League or something like that it's not even interesting to me. Water polo and handball are more interesting to me. Basketball is my #1 of course.

And I agree that football would be more interesting to me if I knew the rules but still it lacks dynamic to be really exciting sport. Too many game breaks for my taste.

I used to hate watching NFL but 2 things in the last 5-8 years changed it dramatically for me.

1. HDTV for NFL made it a completely new sport again. Its a lot more awesome watching sports in general but for the NFL, man it is eyecandy for 5 months out of the year.

2. Fantasy Football. amazing invention. it brings you rooting for players you otherwise would have never rooted for in the past. and its so well balanced that almost anyone can play. even the most casual fan can pick it up and have some luck with it.

I actually tried to watch some NFL games during the NBA lockout but just when I watched a game or two the lockout ended so I got back to basketball.

I would actually give NFL a chance but my college is starting soon so I doubt I'll have time to watch NFL along with NBA,Euroleague and other sports like soccer.

You have to really give American football a long, legitimate chance to truly get into it. You have to learn all the rules, and learn how much strategy truly goes into each and every play. In order to enjoy American football, you have to be able to keep up with what's going on down on the field. It's not a mindless sport. It's practically real-life chess.

And once you get into it, it becomes so much more entertaining. Every single play is exciting, because every single yard counts. Every player on the field has their own specific job in which they have to abide by. It's not like Basketball where there's 5 players per team on the court and they all do the same things, shooting passing and defending... everyone on the field truly has different jobs. And superstars aren't as relevant in football. It's more of a team sport.

American football is truly the best sport... the scale, the teamwork, the intensity of the players, the imprtance of each yard, the strategy, the diversity in the players and what they do... it's just so much bigger and better than other sports. Sure I love fast paced, simple nature of Basketball... it used to be my favorite sport by far. But football has won my heart. There's nothing like going to the game and tailgating outside of the stadium every other Sunday with meat on the grill and drinking beers having smokes with fans from all over the country(season tickets FTW) and cheering on your favorite team as loud as you can, celebrating every single good play just as loud as the last one. It's more than a sport in America... it's an event. :cheers:
