In all honesty once you get past the top 15 it becomes much more difficult. Most people's top tens have the same players, in differing orders but we seem to agree on the players. But once you get to 16-25 range, who's better? Admiral or Isiah? Barkley or Malone? Garnett or Elgin? Havlicek or Pippen? What's the measuring criteria? I mean how do we objectively do these rankings?

I think that's the fun part...right now. There are a whole lot of players to consider...it's interesting to see who people pick.
I was going to say Pippen...but I notice for a certain player to win you need to mention them early on so they pop in peoples minds. That's why I said Rick Barry because he deserves to come up soon.

Dwyane Wade with the best playoff series in NBA History winning his team a title.
-Averaged 40 PPG in the wins
-Awful supporting cast compared to other title winners
-Team was underdogs
-30-5-8-2-2 on 49/32/77 in his prime.
This guy had the most impressive series in NBA History, led his team to a titlee single-handily, and won another title as a 2nd option, all with some All NBA teams. It is his time.

Dirk is already on the list.
Switch Wade with anyone you listed and Miami doesn't have a ring in 2006. I am certain of that.
-Isiah Thomas and Bob Cousy just played on stacked teams.
-Rick Barry spent a lot of his time in the ABA
-Scottie Pippen?Lol not even a franchise player. Ditto for David Robinson. Both of those guys are more suited to being Number 2's.
Gail Goodrich? Yeah alright keep hating on the dude averaging 40 PPG to get his team and city a championship. None of them could have done what Wade did.

Wade should be #26, after Robinson and Pippen.
Zeke and Wade have pretty similar careers, in terms of objective assessment of their NBA resumes.
Same number of rings, same number of FMVPs, no MVPs. Spent most of their career as merely the second (or third, at times, for Zeke) best players at their positions.
That makes Wade's few dominant seasons all the more important. Zeke's 20/10 seasons are nearly impossible to duplicate, but do they overshadow Wade's 2006 post-season or 2009 season?
My answer is no, but that's just my opinion.

Absolutely. Zeke's the better player hands down. Not only did he go back to back titles, but he beat Jordan, Bird, Magic while they were still in the prime! He didn't have any superstar teammates either. The level of competition you face matters and he faced and beat the best.

You just trapped yourself in your own "logic". If you'd take Bill Walton over Wade, clearly you place huge value on peak play, considering Walton had, what, two dominant seasons? But then you say you would rank Kidd over Wade, when the only reason for doing so would HAVE to be longevity, seeing as Wade is a better peak player. Let's be honest here, you just don't like Wade. :kobe:

That entire team was very balanced. They didn't have a single superstar (Thomas isn't even one IMO)
'Superstar' is a subjective term. Joe Dumars, relative to his era, was one of the best at his posistion. He was one of the better two way players in the game at his peak. He was a first ballot hall of famer. Not much to discuss, that equals 'superstar' in my book.

Joe Dumars was a nice complementary player, but was no were near a superstar. Hell, some people wouldn't even call Alex English a superstar and he was not on his level in the 80s.

:facepalm you want to run me a list of first ballot hall of famers I promise you there are tons of guys that aren't even close to super stars on that list. Hell off the top of my head I think Chris Mullen was and no one would consider him a superstar. Hall of fame is heavily influenced by championships so cause and effect going on right here. I don't know what you're trying to argue, Isiah is better than Wade probably by a lot. The fact that Isiah is outside the top 20 is kind of a joke.

ZEKE!!!
How did Dirk get ahead of these guys and Elvin Hayes and Kevin McHale.
If you were inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, you were a star of some capacity.
Robert Horry is a "nice complimentary player". Dumars was legitmate number 2 on a multiple title team.

A superstar does not equal "ummm maybe star in some capacity" It's pretty clear cut who are superstars and who are not. Joe Dumars was not a superstar.

He's somewhat on schedule with 4 players (Kobe, Bron, KG, Dirk) four players passing him in the past 5 seasons.

This might have saved the list.
Lebron at #11 though? I admit I'm a Lebron critic but there's no way he's ahead of West, Dr. J, Oscar and Moses yet.. All of those players had just as impressive career and playoff numbers and they did it for a longer stretch. Lebron's career isn't over so he can definitely move up but I'd like to see any legitimate broadcast commentator have him higher than 15.

Isiah is not better than the Admiral. At no point was he even the best at his position, and the dude has a career PER of 18.1, offensive rating of 105.In 1990 the year Isiah won finals MVP he finished 4th in Total Win Shares on his team behind Laimbeer, Dumars, and Rodman. In fact he finished 4th in win shares in 1989 as well. That is nothing special in the slightest.
Isiah Thomas led the '89 & '90 Detroit Pistons in points, assists, and steals in the Playoffs.

Lol @ all the votes for David Robinson. One of the most overrated players of the 90s. This guy had talented cast after talented cast and choked on a regular basis. He didn't have the cohones to be a franchise player. Fitting that the Spurs didn't win until he took a role player role and Big Dick Duncan took over the team.
Wade is definitely superior to Robinson. He actually has the balls and talent to lead a team to a championship.
Ishiah Thomas? Hes basically like Chris Paul is right now. He just had the talent around him to succeed. He can't carry a team like Prime Dwyane Wade.
