View Full Version : Kevin Garnett is a better player than Kobe Bryant. End of.

This is what Kevin Garnett did to the league when he finally had a cast that wasn't complete rubbish (but still bad) and he carried the team to the #1 seed AND in the playoffs (with players having injury problems) got the team all the way to the WCF against the Kobe/Shaq Lakers taking them to 6 games

KG in 03/04

reg:

24.2 POINTS

2.2 BLOCKS

playoffs:

24.3 POINTS
14.6 REBOUNDS
5.1 ASSISTS
1.3 STEALS
2.3 BLOCKS

And his defensive impact is beyond anything Kobe can even dream of. And people go around claiming Kobe is a better player than Kevin Garnett.

Apparently the 4 more shots Kobe makes in a game and the 4 more rings overshadow everything Kevin Garnett does better on the court.

I'm talking about both, actually (Garnett stans/haters and Kobe stans/haters). I've actually seen enough KG stans around ISH.

And offcourse, the extreme views are coming out.

Better than Kobe Bryant's or Pau Gasol's record "as the man" at the time who both lead their respective teams to first round exits.

You brush that aside as if four more shots a game is some trivial matter. In a game where eight points constitutes a large margin of victory, four shots is huge.

the problem with that line of thinking is what it means for the rest of the nba players

Is kareem now better than jordan? How is magic even in the top 7? Wheres russell? Duncan has to be better than bird doesnt he?

Big men can get a boost for defense, im not saying thats wrong... but you need to give them a minus for not creating offense and not running the team, let alone not being able to perform late game because they need someone ot get them the ball. Anything else and you end up with an opinion that is in the minority for a reason.. like kg being better than kobe

I call it four shots instead of 8 points because calling it 8 points gives it exaggerated value compared to other aspects of the game. People also act like there is a non redundancy factor in scoring as though other teammates couldn't score on some of the possessions instead. There is also no cold hard stat for points prevented like there is for points scored. Just trying to even the field a bit.

Well that's not too bad. I never won anything without having one of the best centers in history, my fiercest rivals best player being injured, and having the best big man rotation in the league.

Did i mention i choked down the stretch of playoff games for the majority of my career?

You're being too harsh on yourself. Want to hear a good one? I always try to take all the shots in very tight games. If I miss, which I do most of the time, it's quickly forgotten. If I make it over multiple defenders, I'm a hero. Suckers, I tell you.

So, they pretend to be a fan of a different team/player, trying to make themselves sound objective about Kobe, while spouting exactly the same hater tripe. that's the motto of ISH. Kobe's overrated, he's a chucker, Jordan wannabe, got carried to all 5 teams, was on stacked teams with smush parker, kwame brown, didn't do anything for any of his championship runs, 81 point game is overrated, kobe didn't deserve any of his all nba/all d or all star appearances, shouldn't have won MVP nor any of his FMVPs.

My name is Kobe, nice to meet you.

Well that's not too bad. I never won anything without having one of the best centers in history, my fiercest rivals best player being injured, and having the best big man rotation in the league.

You're being too harsh on yourself. Want to hear a good one? I always try to take all the shots in very tight games. If I miss, which I do most of the time, it's quickly forgotten. If I make it over multiple defenders, I'm a hero. Suckers, I tell you.

Wait... so Pau Gasol is now one of the best bigmen of all time!? Crazy. KG is also maybe one of the best bigmen of all time and also won titles as the 2nd. But he actually has one more. So does that mean you think Gasol > KG?

Yes? Kobe is on my top 10 ranking, he was/is a great player... but when speaking of players only themselves, talent, what they produce in games day in and day out and so on.... Many players at their best were better & more productive overall players/talents than Kobe was at his best.... lets see if i can name them all:

Not arguable:
George Gervin and so on..................

Wait....you mean George "Iceman" Gervin? The same guy who N-E-V-E-R won a title and also N-E-V-E-R made it to a Finals....that George Gervin, is supposedly better than Kobe? Why stop there, since you're(pauk) on a roll, let's just say Patrick Ewing is better than Kobe too?

Better career? No...

Better individual overall player? Yes...

does heart count?

does clutch count?

does play making count?

does slashing count?

as good as KG was kobe was a better shooter midrange and outside

and as a straight up scorer period... kobe annihilated KG's output career and prime wise

kobe probably has more 40 point games than garnett has 30 point games for god sake

and if you're gonna say KG was a DPOTY

in kobes prime he was also a dominant defensive player

10 all nba 1st team defensive awards don't happen for nothing

KG's minor advantage on defense doesnt make up for kobes major advantage all around on offense

and rebounding just comes with being an athletic 7 footer

kobe is, was and always will be better than kevin garnett... even if he "outperformed" kobe in the year he was coming off 2 major surgeries and had to share with malone, payton, shaq while having to deal with a major court case and team turmoil

"Mistahh, mistah look me! I count to potato today!

Now, I could waste my precious time relaying to you the lack of logic behind classifying potato as a number (KG's prime > Lebron, Magic's prime), or I can simply allow you to continue prancing around with Garnett's cumstains on your bib, rationalizing with myself that there truly isn't any helping someone like you.

I think KG revolutionized his position more than Kobe did no question. There was NEVER a 7 footer with KG's blend of athletic ability, rebounding, and versatility on both ends of the floor. He had SF-point forward type skills, but did all the workman like duties your want from a PF. However, Kobe is an epic all around player at the SG. And other than MJ, the most dangerous perimeter scorer of all time period. Kobe was a better alpha dog than KG even though I feel KG is of alpha dog quality. GOAT wise, u gotta lean to Kobe. Kobe has a chance to enter the top 5 GOAT. And who knows, maybe even higher than that. KG I think is in that top 20-25 area. Peak value wise is closer, but Im gonna lean to Kobe as well. But make no mistake, Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, and KG were all at one time or another considered the best player in the world during that era.

Are you going to answer my question, I am actually interested believe it or not. If you not intend to just say no so we can be done here?

This is what Kevin Garnett did to the league when he finally had a cast that wasn't complete rubbish (but still bad) and he carried the team to the #1 seed AND in the playoffs (with players having injury problems) got the team all the way to the WCF against the Kobe/Shaq Lakers taking them to 6 games

KG in 03/04

reg:

24.2 POINTS
13.9 REBOUNDS
5.0 ASSISTS
1.5 STEALS
2.2 BLOCKS

playoffs:

Clown(lebowski) stop embarrassing yourself:rolleyes:

The only person keeping you(lebowski) here is YOU. YOU'RE(lebowski) the one who felt compelled to respond to a post that had nothing to do with you to begin with. Like I was talking to you, and didn't know it then, said something that struck a nerve. Great way to tell on yourself that "lebowski" is just yet another one of your sock puppets. OOPS!!!!

Why are you so insecure? You have to mention me in almost every second post? What have I said thats not true? That you were Iraq? Or that you have PTSD? Or raping by some Muslim terrorists? Say exactly what? You are showing to everybody else that you are a mental sick person with every of your posts. Keep 'em coming.

That is actually true, I had no reason to answer your post. However, it was funny seeing you calling someone out for having "several personalities" so I could not resist.

It was the wrong way to start a discussion, I agree with that. But I want to know why you type the way you do, and why you totally switch from "more controlled, normal" typing to this you got going now.

Now I understand that you wont comment on that, which is a shame.

Holla when you(lebowski) can actually form a thought, opinion and sentence WITHOUT repeating EVERYTHING left4dead says....VERBATIM(word for word like you're the same person). While STILL claiming to supposedly not know who he is:sleeping

What is unclear? My question? You are acting like you have gotten this question before, which seems likely I can not be the only one reacting to the way you type. So if you have answered it before could you link me to that post then I wont bother you anymore.

So...what you're(lebowski) saying is, not only are you(lebowski) admitting to being way too stupid to know how to navigate a webpage, but you're(lebowski) also admitting to being illiterate as well? I'd(lebowski) really stop posting right now if I were you:roll:

You answered it already? I cant find it going back? Are you sure you did not edit it out. You seem to edit your posts a lot.

Okay just answer why you put names in (), just say no if you dont want to.

AND.....there it is....in a pathetically desperate attempt to try and save face, after completely embarrassing themselves. When all else fails, let's(lebowski) act like, using a computer, to edit posts on a website/forum, on the internet, is something that has never EVER been done before. Just more proof that "lebowski" really is just yet another pathetic sock puppet, like I've been saying the entire time(yawn):sleeping

All this is fine, I agree, whatever. Could you please answer my question? I do not understand why that is so hard?

Kevin Garnett is a better player than Kobe Bryant all time.

That answer is so disappointing, you have not in this thread clearly (or at all) answered why you put names in (). I get the point to refer to whom you are talking to, but WHY? Who types like that? When did you start typing like that? Argh, tell me please the suspense is killing meeeeeee!

I guess we are done then. It was nice chatting with you, helped me getting through to lunchtime! Do you live in Europe too? If so, have a nice day!

Keep posting your(left4dead) lies as much as you want. This is the THIRD time I'm going to prove exactly how completely full of sh*t you(left4dead) really are. You first posted this, claiming it's supposedly true:
Yeah, thats right. He was a soldier in Iraq, I dont know exactlly when. He was speaking about it on former NBA forum on Facebook and on his profile were some informations about it. And he has some kind of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD. There was a story circling around the forum that he was caught by terrorists and raped. He was bought urgently back to USA after that. I believe all of that, and I still remember that guy even though that forum doesnt exist almost 2 years. This is the biggest retard you will ever meet in your life, be sure about that.http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=275683&page=4

Then, posted this: http://www.russbrown.com/motorcycle-lawyer-blog/3656/iraq-veteran-plans-to-ride-again-after-hit-and-run-motorcycle-accident.html

http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/652/e6614866db244b44b3ac716.png

claiming it supposedly backs up your story, when there's nothing in that article that says anything like that. So....you(left4dead) pretty much, pulled a link out your a**, to try and cover up the FACT that you're(left4dead) OBVIOUSLY lying, and CLEARLY full of sh*t. Big surprise:rolleyes:

He had been pretty sane lately until that little gem. Adrian Dantley inarguably better than prime Kobe:lol

Don't forget the arguables! Alex English, Dolph Schayes and David Thompson.
