I freaking hate that people are born into one religion, I'm a born christian but I have never given a damn about religion or any god. I believe in science..

I mean, a great majority of all the religious persons around the world are religious due having religious parents. I mean, seriously, so silly.

i think that most of the more intelligent kids realize that religion is bs and stop giving a damn about it around the mid-teens
still every person should be born free and should decide what theyll choose and do later in their lifes

The only reason why it's cool or "in" for black celebrities to become or say they're muslim is because muslims came to africa before Christian missionaires did. So, in their mind being a "Christian" is selling out the white man's religion.

Different thing.

5 Percenters was created in Harlem in the 60s. Their core beliefs don't really match those of Islam. People confuse them cause they say "Allah", but most of Islam rejects them.

or it could have to do with what Islam brought to East, North and West Africa when it first spread there. Also how the pilgrimage and trade caravans that linked vast cultures and geography benefited not only Africans but eventually Europeans as well.

Islam isn't a race bro. There are white muslims, black muslims, asian muslims, etc.

Besides, muslim is in quotation marks because he used to be one, but now is the single most hated apostate within that religion. Should be obvious.

It's still true though. Rushdie is a literary genius who is one of the most important writers of our time, I really can't think of any other muslim who contributed as much to his field as Rushdie in recent history.

its not silly, its part of a person's cultural identity. Take being born a jew. Your family has legit been jewish for the past few thousands years, celebrating feast days and doing traditions all the while. Is it really that silly for that person to continue doing what their family has been doing for so long? I don't think so.

Yes? That's silly as ****. You should be able to live your own life and make your own decisions, not believe or follow the customs of some modern cult because your ignorant ancestors have been doing it. It's a part of human evolution. Cultural identity? Get the **** out of here. :lol
