Just got done playing my first game. Lost to the Wolves.

I felt like I played bad and did stupid things to lose. I didn't even get Aldridge the ball in the post until late in the 3rd. I was chucking up 3's.

Don't want to get my hopes up but this game is much better than 2k12. They really did improve things. The post game is better. Yeah there is weird stuff that is unstoppable but I feel like I have control over the move.

There are so many different moves you can make around the rim. Blocking is better in that the defender actually touches the ball. Defenders are slower to recover which is nice. If you move the ball you can get a good look without some scrub getting back in time to contest.

How does the PC game usually compare to the console (xbox 360 and ps3) versions? I don't care if a few features are missing, I'm just hoping the game-play is the same and you can do all the ps3/xbox moves on PC as well.

And do u have a pc controller that you would recommend for it?

Still burning it up on 2K11 with my Murder's Row Lakers of Magic/Kobe/Worthy/Gasol/Howard. I liked 2K12 due to some of the improvements but 11 has more of an arcade feel to me so I prefer it.

The system is supposed different on 2K13 IIRC so I'm not sure what to expect.

Be nice to see some player ratings go up on guys like Aldridge, Love and Harden from my 2K11 playing.

First difference ive seen is the graphics, but hey you cant compete with PC graphics... because of this the gaming experience is just better....

This is probably a dumb question, but the original Dream Team is in the game, right? Where? I went through all the rosters and didn't see them unless I just missed them.You can only come across them in the "Quick Play" screen. Their roster does not show up if you're perusing through the "Manage Roster" section of the game. The Dream Team is uneditable, perhaps because some players (Charles Barkley) signed deals to be a part of the Dream Team but not anything NBA related. This is unfortunate because it's hard for me to use the Dream Team while they're wearing those generic block shoes.

Getting used to the new shot stick... also playing on 360 instead of ps3 as I usually do. I like it so far, especially how I don't turn it over as much as before off the dribble and passing like last year. Online play still sorta sucks... was playing team matchup and it seems like I never make it past the fourth quarter without it lagging out and dropping on me despite having a fast connection.

lol i was kidding about 2012 being better, i think the lack of bigmen is a HUGE PROBLEM, but the amount of shooters the 2012 has kind of helps with that.

Yeah, first game I played (just a quick play game) was OKC vs Lakers on default difficulty (Pro and default sliders) 8 minute quarters. I dropped 45 with Durant and 35 with Westbrook. Harden had 20 and I even had 15ish with Ibaka. The game was competitive, though. On ball defense is even tougher this year (unless you're one of those that doesn't control the on-ball defender) and Kobe lit me up for 40. He'd just give a little shoulder dip and go right by Thabo, pull-up from 15-18 feet out, and drill the jumper. Think he shot something like 14/18 from the floor and probably 10-12 of those FGA were jumpers and 3Pers. I won by like seven but it was a 2-5 point game most of the way until I hit FTs in the final seconds.

Played another quick play game against the Spurs and Tony Parker did the same thing. Except he went like 13/14 from the floor (he literally only missed once but I can't remember the exact number of FGA). Only reason he shot a higher percentage than Kobe is because he was able to get all the way to the rim a little more.

I have noticed the faster players are clearly faster/quicker than the bigger slower players this year which I LOVE. Once Parker got past his man, he was at the rim in the blink of an eye. There's been no more of me chasing down a guard like Parker or Manu in transition with Ibaka, Perkins, or Gasol and vice versa. I could actually get out on a break with Westbrook and Durant or Harden, and not get chased down by a big man.

Can't wait to start an Association. I'm thinking of doing a dual association for now with the Warriors and either Nets or Knicks until some better rosters come out.

Well, in terms of shot selection it was, but not FG% obviously. But that probably had more to do with the sliders. Most of the adjusted sliders I've used in the past had CPU mid-range down around 45-47 instead of the default 50, and that seemed to produce more realistic field-goal percentages.

I have to say they improved a lot on the physics and graphics. Players don't look like they got waxed before the game anymore and dribbling feels solid now. It doesnt seem like they're ice skating anymore. I'm still getting used to the controls though. However it does feel like a huge improvement over 2k12(couldn't say the same going from 2k10 to 2k11 to 2k12). If you're one a tight budget this is one of the few releases of sports games that you should get.

This is just my opinion of the offline PC version.
