The team today announced that star power forward Kevin Love suffered a fracture of his third and fourth metacarpal in his right hand. The injury occurred this morning while working out.
Love is expected to be out approximately 6-8 weeks. He will be examined by Dr. Andy Weiland, a hand specialist at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, on Thursday for further evaluation.

wonder if this is related to the elbow he hurt while sleeping

love tweeted only 30 minutes ago and didn't mention anything about a broken hand, either he's trying to keep it quiet or it literally just happened

LOL at people panicking and acting like this means anything. Okay so he will miss 2-4 weeks of the season, big deal :confusedshrug: . Will be good for the Wolves to develop their younger players besides AK47 can slide to PF for now if need be and hold it down decently.

Timberwolves reporter says 6-8 weeks. Also since it's his shooting hand even after being healed may take him a while to get back. So yea a bit more serious than originally believed. Could be two months into season before he's back to form 100 percent.

Except they want to make the playoffs in the West. Not having 2 starters, one a top 10 player and one their 2nd best player for the first part of the season is a major blow.

Why? That'll be 10 months since the surgery which is very reasonable for a torn ACL. His surgeon and therapists have all targeted mid/late-December as his return date.

Could be a huge deal for a team hoping to get into the playoffs in a deep conference and already without Rubio and introducing a bunch of new players.

Why is that funny? Could happen? Millsap and Hayward could go down. But than again maybe they finally dump Al and go on a roll. Chris Paul is more likely to go down though and despite their incredible depth and rotation they would be done.

I think the Jazz are going to have a lot of problems, as Mo Williams is not a PG and was in the ideal situation in LA and is not going to work as a starting PG in the freakin Jazz system. And this possibility of playing Burks at the 1 is ridiculous, as that kid is a scorer, not a facilitator.

With that said, it's a lot for the Wolves. The only constant in their team is Kevin Love, and he's out while Rubio is out...that's a lot to overcome. Roy might have to be great again and immediately. They have to be around .500 while Love is out.

i dont watch a ton of jazz games, but a lot of the time, it seems like ball movement is more imporant for them, than a pg running a pick and roll game, and setting up his teammates like a lot of teams

the pg seems to play off the ball plenty, which suits mo to a tee

anyway, mo isnt a bad passer he averaged 7apg for the cavs, after bron left, the last time he was the primary ball handler on his team

You're that certain? I think they have a lot of issues. Marvin Williams was cool, but Mo Williams was a bad trade and they haven't done anything about the 4 big men. I know Jefferson is the easy man out, but the truth is that one of them has to be out. And I think they have a lot of issues.

Xiao Yao You

Yea they showed what they can do by getting swept out of the first round. You have lower expectations than I thought you would as a supposed long time Jazz fan

Got swept by the last team they wanted to play. They would have done better against anyone else despite the albatross that the combo of Harris and Mr. Spurs are the next World Champs leading the charge. I'm a realist. I don't live in a fantasyland like you. If they had Deron Williams who knows? With Al Jefferson there's only so much one can expect especially from a franchise that is happy with just making th playoffs.

Devin Harris is a pg? Mo is a huge upgrade over Chops. Burks is their 3rd to 6th pg right now. Jazz are much improved. Rather that means playoiffs remains to be seen.

They are pushing the ball and many people are involved in getting their offense going not just Mo. Marvin is a big part of it already as were Hayward and Millsap before. They don't settle on Al til late in the clock. Hayward and Marvin have been interchangable at both ends. They greatly improved their biggest weakness outside shooting. They are even deeper than last year and that was one of their strong points.
