Crawford has the game of a gym rat, so I don't think he spends all summer on his couch. What I think he meant is that he hasn't put himself through any organized workout regimine until this offseason. Kind of weird for an NBA player, but conceivable. He probably just plays all the damn time.

Stephen Jackson said that he never touches a ball in the off-season.

It's not that uncommon.

Which is why I expect an extremely strong bounceback year and him to win 6th man of the year over Harden. Not gonna judge him for before as long as we get a different Crawford which we are so far. I understand why Knicks, Hawks, Bulls and Blazers fans would be mad though haha.

"This summer was actually the first summer I worked on my game. I usually just play off of raw talent," he said Thursday after the Clippers' practice. "But I just wanted to work on something and be in great shape coming into camp. I came here right after Labor Day, which is the earliest I've ever gone to any team in the summer, and all the guys were here, committed to getting better.

"Now it's part of my lifestyle, working out and being here, shooting and getting shots up. It gives you more confidence that if you miss one or two, you know you've been working on it every single day and your teammates have confidence because they see it as well."

As a fellow Knicks fan, I can confirm that Crawford is lazy.

Has a lot of talent and shows it at times but many times I really wondered if he would even show up on a basketball court if he weren't being paid to. For a guy with the talent he showcases, you'd think he would keep trying to work on his game to take the next step with it.

He's the same player on the floor he was 7 years ago.

Only problem is that he's just not as effective and both Atlanta & Portland have found this out since he turned 30.

"Raw talent" has an expiration date. Remember that.

seriously, you're the biggest homer, ever.

its hilarious how, when it comes to the clippers, for some reason, there's always some reason or some way as to how the universe will align. lol

it's always something new.

"YEAH, THIS YEAR IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT, DJ IS GOING TO BE TOP 3 CENTER IN THE LEAGUE"

"YEAH, BLAKE HAS FINALLY WORKED ON HIS GAME IN THE POST, BLAH BLAH"

"YEAH, BLEDSOE IS MINI LEBRON, HE WILL BE TOP 3 PG IN FEW YEARS. HE WILL BE A SUPERSTAR"

"YEAH, CP3 HASNT BEEN HEALTHY AND HE'LL PLAY HIS BEST BALL EVER"

"YEAH, WE FINALLY HAVE A LEADER IN BILLUPS, THATS ALL WE WERE MISSING"

"YEAH, JAMAL WILL HAVE HIS BEST YEAR EVER"

Somehow, YOU take an ordinary article that MOST PLAYERS, come up with EVERY SEASON, and you take it literal. lol. like you don't have a good sense of reality. lol

95% of nba players say they work out in the offseason, and get better. and 95% of coaches say they look better. They prolly do. The problem is...

THE WHOLE LEAGUE DOES IT. But somehow, little gullible you, comes in and starts rambling this crazy ass stupid homer shit.

Shit never fails. Every single one of your posts is always the same theme.
"Yeah, blah blah. but clippers have the deepest team.. blah blah... the best young team... blah blah best 1+2 punch"

sorry to break it pal. But you guys are not winning a championship ANYTIME SOON. Don't get me wrong, you guys will be a GREAT TEAM. Maybe top 4 in the west. But you guys will not win a chip, anytime soon.

Jamal Crawford is the only player who can challenge JR Smith for being the most hot/cold streak shooter in the NBA.

Unlike JR, Jamal actually has a brain so he has some tools at his disposal.

If he actually spent time in the offseason working on his shooting his career might have turned out a little differently. Might actually be a #2 option in the NBA instead of a guy chucking 3's and getting the reputation of an inefficient gunner who can't contribute unless as a 6th Man.

I love watching Jamal play in the 4th. That mfcker is so savy. He just surprises me, to the point where it no longer surprises me.lol

Honestly, in the 4th quarter he becomes as good as anyone in this league. I trust that F.ucker with the game on the line. Whether its hitting a shot (with so much swag and confidence) or getting to the line or finding an open player. That dude is fun to watch when the game is on the line.

 I always say this. If I wasn't overly optimistic I would of offed myself a long time ago as a Clippers fan :lol . That being said.... Crawford has never played on a team this good or with a PG like this who will find him wide open all day. Nor has he played with two players that get doubled regularly. Bottom line is if he keeps working this hard he COULD have a career year even at 32 years old with all the wide open looks he will get.

Actually as preseason goes further along I'm becoming skeptical of Odom. I still think he can obviously top the horrendous year last year but not expecting nearly as much as I did even 2-3 weeks ago. Crawford on the other hand is in superb shape and has been an awesome addition by the look of it (yes I know preseason).

Hawks didn't have two all star starters who command double teams, nor this many weapons around those pieces. So sure good teams but not this talent obviously. Besides Joe Johnson was the primary ballhandler of those Hawks teams and hardly the playmaker CP3 is. Jeff Teague, Mike Bibby and other PG's they had in recent years were scoring PG's.

And then quit. And then put again. And then stank. And again. For Christs sake, I've seen him nominated MIP for the second and third time in his career (by those casual fans who never knew he had one already). Wooo

Also, wasn't it him who made his teammate hide at other teammates house? Seen on music vidoe with criminals? Empty stats and poor work ethic in general?

I would be happy with ZBO out of the league.

You just said him, Crawford and Bledsoe can out do the whole Jazz bench. How does this effect the so called deepest team/best rotation in the league that he was supposed to play a key role in including center where he's never really played outside the World Championships as far as I know. As I said they have huge question marks and he is certainly one of the biggest.

I could have seen him putting up 25/5/5 on 45/40/85. He's similar to J.R. Smith in a lot of ways, but Crawford has a brain that at least semi-functions. It's not like he was far off. All he needed to do was work on his shot selection and rebounding.

Nash was always that good. He just didn't have Amare and D'Antoni before. The Mavs have a proud and enduring legacy of never getting the right players and never bringing out the best in them... possibly with the exception of using Jason Terry as a sixth man and finally figuring out that Dirk is best used as a high post / face-up player, not a mere jumpshooter...

Portland was a very toxic situation as was NY and Chicago when he was there. The only good situation he was in was Atlanta and he won 6th man of the year and was loved by the fans and his teammates/coaches. Portland tried playing him at PG and had very little help around him so all teams had to do was guard Jamal and Aldridge (when he was even healthy) so I think he just couldn't carry that kind of load. On the Clippers he will be able to relax a lot more so should be much smoother.

Assuming everything goes the way you hope in your mind. Portland obviously was expecting things to go differently last year too.
