I'd be very surprised if any serious NBA fans who aren't just emotionally attached to Detlef for whatever reason (grew up as fans of him or whatever) picked him over Dirk. Dirk now gets consideration to be placed as something like 20th greatest player of all time. Detlef, as much as I appreciate his game, is unlikely to make anyones top 100.

Loved his game, in his prime he was on the level of Scottie Pippen. IQ very high and solid overall player.
