I was just looking at his stats and came across his pictures, why are his legs so thin?

No, just weird seeing 13 year old legs on a NBA player. He must never workout. Crazy he has bounce like he does with those chopsticks.

Curry is slight as well. Coincidentally, both seem injury prone as well.

Basketballs legs are usually thin. And I think his legs looks fine with the rest of his body.

I don't know... he seems to have the same amount of skin on his legs as most players.

those calves are bordering on irresponsible, he needs to hit the weights.

I disagree. Tayshaun Prince is equal or thinner and has one of the largest runs without injury in the NBA history. I think people do not understand that each person has a different bone/muscle structure, gaining muscle is not always the best option to stay healthy or perform better. In some cases it is even the opposite.

How can his legs be the skinnest when he covers them up with various sleeves?

Kevin Martin isn't anywhere near as durable as Tayshaun Prince or Reggie Miller( or any other example you can think of), so what is your point?

What I mean is that being thin is no the same as being fragile, so I do not think that being thin is irresponsible. Also gaining muscle is sometimes counterproductive for many athletes, you can lose elasticity, speed, flexibility and even jumping ability.

Obviously he's not as durable as Prince or Miller but we can't ensure that the cause of his injuries is being thin. At least I have no proof.

Corey Brewer is by far the skinniest player in the nba. He's listed at 6'9 188lbs  Whether or not that is accurate, just look up some pictures or watch some Denver games and you'll see he has twigs for legs. Good player though.

So you are giving me a lecture on Kinesiology because I used the word "irresponsible"? It wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but that was my fault. We are on the world wide web and I should have been more clear.

I knew you did not said that seriously, but I wanted to discuss a bit and seems you did not want a lecture on Kinesiology. :lol

It's good info bro, I definitely learned something today. When I had a shoulder injury after a car accident my physical therapist made it a priority for me to gain muscle and naturally you don't want to just bulk up in one area because muscle imbalances can lead to other problems down the road.

There are differing body types, but it's just odd to see an NBA basketball player with a set of teenage skateboarder's legs. Everyone has to find what works for them so maybe that's the composition that Martin wants.

It's just weird because he doesn't even look toned like a Ray Allen or anything either.

Genetics.

Some people have natural cavs and hams and don't work out but are bigger and more defined than another person who trains with weights and plyometrics.

Some people, like LeBron and Jason Pierre-Paul win the genetic lottery but their are a ton of others that don't.

I'm sure he trains but he's either genetically limited if he's trying to increase mass or he doesn't train to add mass just muscle endurance and stamina.

You're right, but if you see Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo(best soccers players), Messi at first glance may seem much worse athlete, and yet it is not true at all. Plus have a much lower injury history.

So appearances can sometimes be confusing, some great athletes may seems a plumber and then be a monster in his field. In the NBA players like Bird and Barkley were such great athletes, and their physical appearance would have us believe otherwise.
