Pau is still a good player and is not worth being traded.

Yes really. Lakers fans will not stop until they have the USA Basketball roster playing for them.

Trade Nash before his value plummets. He doesn't fit. Why trade the one person that fits the system?

Kobe, Nash (on his last legs) and Pau are all out of their primes. This "GOAT ROSTER" is seriously overrated. :oldlol:

I don't think Gasol stays a Laker.
The curse will be that they trade Pau for Hedo and Harrington.

I'd say if they trade anyone it's Steve Nash. Trade before his stock plummets. What they really need to do is take Mike Brown behind the shed and put him out of his misery

I never said it was GOAT, but it is one of the best in the league, if not the best.
You have a top 2 C, a top 2 SG, a top 5 PF, a good defensive SF, and a great passing and shooting PG.
Giant overreaction after two games. They lost the first one; not a big deal. And most teams will lose the second game of a back to back.

I would trade nash for sessions and a solid role player. Is trade him for Arima and another role player as well.

Had the funniest visual after reading this post. Mike Brown with that stupid shit look on his face like "what's going on guys???" while Mitch Kupchak cocks his gun.

This, Blake has better impact. They fell for Nash's padded stats, his D really lets opposing PGs/SGs go off. Liliard and Mathews raped the Lakers along with Batum.

Pau has definitely regressed since his early Laker years. I always thought it was because of the other talent and big men the Lakers had, but watching him in the post now he just doesn't seem as dominating and towering as he used to back in the day. he's still very well rounded but he used to tower in the post with nice low post moves right around the basket, and i don't think he has that anymore.

Gasol for Bosh!
Jk... Can't see that happening, but if Gasol were a couple of years younger, this trade would have benefited both teams tremendously.
At this point, Lakers should just focus on getting their guys accustomed to playing with one another, and not make any hasty moves before February.

Or at least someone who can hold on to the damn ball.
Uh, trade Pau?! Really? He's amazing for our team. He hits midrange shots, finishes well around the basket, and most importantly, he is one of the best passers on the team. He will provide Howard with a bunch of great looks throughout the season.
The Lakers need to have Kobe sit out and coach MWP for a bit. Showcase him, increase his value like they did last season when Coachbe took over... and then trade his ass for someone that actually fits in.
MWP can't spot up. I know he hit his shots last night, but he looked very uncomfortable shooting them, just like he has in the past. He is far from a slasher, and that's another thing our team is missing. Kobe is currently our only slasher.
MWP for someone like Ariza would be amazing for us.

pau will be fine. just give it some time.
what the lakers need to do, i think, is to sit kobe and gasol about halfway through the first and have them both anchor the second unit. this will give pau the opportunity to play in the post (against 2nd stringers, no less) and beast.

Nash and pau
For
Amare, Felton, and Kurt Thomas
No but really the only way I'd trade pau if I was the lakers is if the kings would give tyreke and something like Francisco Garcia and chuck Hayes. If you can't get a guy that's dominant handling the ball and a role player or 2 it's not worth getting rid of pau because its so hard to find guys 7 foot that you want at the end of games and end of seasons
Pau isnt the problem. the entire team is slow. old. unathletic. and you have no bench. its the same problem from last year. when the Thunder exposed these pretenders and ran circles around them with their elite speed and athleticism. This is why i laughed at the Lakers being favorites for the crown this year. All their weaknesses are still gaping holes and easy to expose.

People were freaking out when the Heat didn't mesh at the beginning too. They'll figure it out, they're too smart and experienced not to.

Trade Kobe to Golden State for Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jefferson and Biedrins.
Then hire D'Antoni as your coach.
That way Howard is your best player, Nash is your leader and there are enough shots to go around.

He was great when Bynum was hurt but reduced to a jumpshooter otherwise. Same thing is happening with Dwight. Gasol is a center playing at PF and when another big is in the post, he floats on the perimeter for jumpers. Even worse, he's not good at defensive rotations AT ALL and our defense suffers when he's at PF instead of C

Problem is you're not getting Ariza for Metta. You could get Ariza and another nice player for Pau though. When you have Dwight, you don't need a PF who is most effective in the paint. You need a stretch 4 or a tweener who hits 3s.

He looked dominant yesterday though, athletic or not. Granted it was against Meyers Leonard and JJ Hickson. Still if he can keep shooting FT's like that he'll be cash for my fantasy team  :dancin :hammertime:
