And if you still do how many times (or how much) in a week?

also what was it like the first time you got high?

Whew...maybe once a month, if that. Sometimes i may do it twice on a weekend. It really depends on if i feel i have the time to enjoy it. I don't treat it like water.

I didn't smoke for the first time until earlier this year (24), and i was a total noob to it. To be fair i began with some apparent top stuff (Caveman) and since i hadn't eaten anything that made it have more of an impact. But to my surprise, i didn't hate it. I feel like it made me understand things a lot clearer, my memory improved, and it made me more honest. I feel a lot less weighed down by life days after i have smoked compared to when i haven't smoked in a while.

Its interesting because before i ever had it this year, i was very anti-pot. All the bs they feed you about how its dangerous and not good, and a loser drug or a gateway drug. I bought into it all. But then i met a grower who encouraged me to try it. I did and i realize not only was i wrong, but its definitely something that should be fully legal above alcohol and cigarettes (i know the politics of why its this way though).

With that said, i wouldn't smoke every day. Its definitely something to value in samples. Not to over indulge on.

do you do it that rarely because you're too busy with other stuff or because you dont wanna make it a habit?

what about alcohol?

No I don't drink alcohol. I saw enough people act stupid and kill themselves on alcohol. If you need alcohol to have fun or cope, than you have issues. I drank once when I was in the military. Some friends pushed me into it. It was horrible. I still had my right frame of thought, but everything was spinning. I like having control of myself..never drank again.

I have alot of friends that smoke weed on weekends only and they actually have good jobs or college students and also have less problems than people who go out clubbing and drinking every weekend. Im 21 by the way

do you do it that rarely because you're too busy with other stuff or because you dont wanna make it a habit?

A bit of both, but more so because i've done it for three days in a row before, and i felt like it didn't do anything to increase the joy or benefits of smoking it by turning it into a daily routine. If you keep it to a minimum, you won't build as great a tolerance, and the effects and joy of it remain consistent. I know some people who smoke everyday and you can't tell they're high, or they aren't as high as they used to get.

I like to treat weed like wine. Its something you should have to enhance an experience, or to embrace a moment, or just to bring a little ease and joy to the day/night. Not something you need to turn into a dependency to get through the day. But that can be said for just about anything, right?

One thing is for sure, if you do it, do it with responsible people who won't try to taunt you or mess with you while you're high, that kills the experience. When i first did it, everyone just relaxed and talked, listened to music, went for a walk outside a little.

smoked almost every day in late teens - early 20s

loved it at first, but it grew old as I grew older, and started causing paranoia which sucks...I don't like having a foggy mind, like my head clear now

Okay uninformed retard. :lol

I smoke at least once a day, normally when I get home from work. Just like everything else on this beautiful planet, moderation is the key to happiness. There is nothing wrong with being a responsible smoker that has his/her priorities in order and don't let Big Brother tell you otherwise.

First time, not much happened and all I got were the munchies. I remember going into a Mexican restaurant and the cashier looking at me funny.

Second time was more intense and it felt like my blood vessels were about to burst. I felt like I was going to die lol. For some reason, dancing like Michael Jackson helped null this strange feeling.

Third time was with a stranger I met on the train. Totally lost passage of time with this one. All I know was that, on my way home, I walked around the police station high, past a group of stoners who had the same look as I did, and through various groups of partying college students.

I don't smoke very often, think it's an overrated experience, and have no plans to smoke in the future. But I can see some positive effects it would have on people with cancer, anxiety/mood disorders, and chronic pain.

smoke weed everyday, i'm a straight A student so it hasn't affected me there but it has affected me in relationships and put me in some dangerous situations driving + some runins with police. the paranoia really ****s shit up. i cant see myself stopping for atleast a couple years tho, it keeps me calm and helps me deal with the bs i have to put up with daily..

I know a lot of professionals that smoke every day. Lawyers, scientists, even doctors. And i'm sure that everybody has had some crunchy professors in college.

It's like alcohol, if you let it get to you it can and will, if you use it responsibly you'll be fine. But unlike alcohol and tobacco, you can't die from it. You also probably won't drunkenly beat the shit out of your wife or kids because of it either.

Never even tried smoking to start with, growing up I played ball 24/7 and I never wanted to do stuff who wasn't good for me, haha, I thought it would make a worse baller.

Most of my friends smoke but I skipped it, starting late when I didn't do it during all those years would be beyond stupid. Never judged anyone though, it's a personal choice.

Max: once a wek
Min: once a month

I think it is good for my mental health to just let go and get high occasionally.

First time I really got high was at a buddy's house around the camp fire. I prob didn't say a word for 2 hours lol. I was just absorbing all the sensation and totally lost in my own mind. Then we went inside and I munched on some taco dip, fried chicken, and a giant soft pretzel thing. The night ended with me laughing uncontrollably for a half hour and then I passed out. Pretty much your stereotypical first time experience.

Lol people here are pretty uneducated in the world of weed. I've always been very successful and extremely smart. I smoke several times a day. I usually have my bowl of hash with me. Never has me stupid or anything else that most people associate with stoners. Alcohol, on the other hand, is so muchworse than pot. I drink on occasion but its insane how alcohol is legal over weed.

it is VERY typical for stoners to say something along the lines of "pot has never affected me" or even "I work much better when I am high, I am more focused!"

the truth is it is impossible to know if it has affected you or not...

you say that you are extremely successful and very smart?...(lol)...How do you know that you wouldn't be much more successful and even smarter if you didn't have a hash pipe shoved up your ass 24/7?

And yeah, I am smart...not sure why that's so funny. Very good math skills, critical thinking, good social skills...all while I smoke weed. Came in here to basically post this. A little weed never hurt anybody. Smoking all day everyday, like a guy I know, can ruin someone's life. But the same can be said about alcohol, *********ion, tanning, anything really. I used to smoke pretty much everyday, but then I cut back because I needed to refocus. no guy...it's a given that NOT SMOKING won't have a negative impact on me

it is not a given that smoking every day won't though...

I mean do you actually think that smoking everyday increases your intelligence?...I guess there is no proof that it doesn't...so maybe the more you smoke the smarter you get right?

Asking the people of Insidehoops whether they smoke weed is like asking a frog if it's ever hopped on land.

It's only a matter of time till a tadpole yearns for something dry.

so you never tried drinking at some point in your life? you dont see many people like that these daysI haven't. It's not as uncommon as folks think. Well, I guess not trying is at least a little uncommon. But I know a lot of folks who gave drinking a shot and just decided it wasn't going to be something for them. Throughout time it's always seemed like something where people who do drink or smoke tend to draw more attention than those who don't, so sometimes it begins to feel everyone must be doing it. I mean, if a person doesn't do either, there's probably not a lot for them to say on the topic. I don't really come into work after the weekend bragging about how much I didn't get drink and/or get wasted, so those who don't tend to get lost in the shuffle sometimes.

Maybe if you smoked you would be more of a homebody and wouldn't be a semi-alcoholic wasting hundreds/thousands of dollars at the strip club.

So, yeah, there's that.

because I wouldn't have that money to waste...but decent point maybe

smoking weed never stopped me from drinking though, it never took it's place...made me drink more if anything I think, those two (booz and pot) always went together along with tobacco

I'm clean of all of it now though...

also, to be clear

ranked in order of how bad it is for you:

1. alcohol
2. tobacco

3. pot

just in case anyone is confused by my posts, I think booz and tobacco are much worse than pot, not even close really...but I do think pot is "bad"...and can even ruin your life, it just does it in a different way...it won't literally kill you like booz and tobacco do, it can just turn you into a worthless bum which is bad but not as bad as death.

Alcohol probably is worse than cigarettes. Alcohol can lead to violent behavior and killing yourself where as cigarettes you are just slowly killing yourself and only yourself.

Yes alcohol is worse than tobacco...

alcohol kills thousands of people every year...THAT DON'T DRINK!

it rips families apart...it is involved in 90% of domestic violence, etc etc etc

tobacco ALSO kills people that don't smoke, but at least those are people that work in bars and are around it 24/7 and probably have an idea that it is coming...unlike a drunk driver that swerves into you out of no where.

I'm new to weed and have only tried edibles (due to health reasons). However, I'm already trying to figure out if it isn't worth it. I had a bad trip that was worse than anything good I experienced from weed. Felt like my face was cramping for an hour and I thought I was going to suffocate on my tongue. Anybody experience that before?

you must've had some bad quality ones? Other stuff mixed in? I've never tried edibles so i don't know if eating it makes that much difference but i've never heard of anyone having symptoms like you said there.

I couldn't tell you about the quality because I'm far from an expert. It was a Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispy treat that was purchased from a dispensary (so not home made). All I know is it was "extra strength" and I think I just ate too much of it. The crazy thing is that my gf ate more than I did and smoked pretty much all day and she did not come across as high at all (she is much more experienced with it though).

The brand was Dank Grosshopper if that tells anybody anything.

there has never been a confirmed death of second hand cigarette smoke. Ever. Alcohol is far worse than cigarette smoking. You ever see washed up people in the gutter hopeless due to cigarette smoking? Or horrific smoking cigarettes and driving accidents? Kids abused because daddy came home and smoked a pack?

I've smoked it a couple of times. It's ok. I just felt very relaxed and had a warm feeling in my stomach. Probably would have fallen asleep if I wasn't with friends.

Cocaine on the other hand. That was brilliant.

P.S I have tried drugs and to be honest I wouldn't really be bothered about doing it again. Just not for me.

Ive probably smoked 1,000 times in my life. Stopped a few years back and rarely smoke these days (maybe a few times a year if im around people who do). It makes u really lazy and made me feel like I was living in a fog. Also did a number on my memory.

A few years ago with a few friends I smoked an ounce in one day and another half ounce the next day.

I don't go all out like that anymore, but still smoke too much. A couple hundred dollars worth a month.

Don't make it an every day thing and don't smoke as much as me and you'll be fine.

Two ounces could get me through a semester - easy:biggums:

I seen people do that, even friends, but nah, after 3-4 rollers you more smoking to stay awake than to get high. You smoke weed to relax - that will happen after one - past that isn't neccessary.

Most of the time I ended up sharing one anyway.
