Remember to keep their pro career success out of the discussion  Chris Paul and Kemba Walker were The two who impressed me the most. Michael Beasley was a gangsta too.

Len Bias is the first guy I really remember, but I was young, and access wasn't nearly like it is now.
I have very vivid memories of Derrick Coleman. And more still of Chris Webber, Shaq, and all three Duke guys from that era, Hurley/Hill/Laettner, all of whom I hated, and Jamal Mashburn.

Given the choice of all the guys I remember watching in college as pro prospects, not knowing how their careers would wind up, I'd go Shaq, Bias, Webber ahead of anyone else I can think of. Coleman would be up there too, but probably behind Duncan and maybe a few others.

Melo was one of the best college players in history, as a freshman he led his team to NCAA title without much help.

Glenn Robinson almost literally unstoppable. And it has nothing to do with me being a Purdue fan.

My lifetime:

In terms of career? Hansbrough.

In terms of sheer dominance? Chris Jackson, probably.

Ryan Gomes was a beast for Providence, don't know if I'd put him at #1 though.

If limited to in person (keeping in mind that I'm 29 and live in a Big Ten city), the short list is Chris Webber, Glenn Robinson or Deron Williams. I'll be kind and eliminate Deron from consideration seeing as how I saw him in person 50+ times and saw CWebb and Big Dawg once or twice apiece and say......yeah, I've never seen a force of nature in a college uniform like Chris Webber. Every possible tool you'd want a power forward to have? Webber had it.

Redick = Definition of NBA Improvement

Entered as a NBA fringe bench shooter, now he is a legitimate 2-guard. He is a rich man's Steve Novak.

Glen Rice was one of the best pure shooters, even in college.

Yeah, I can honestly say I've never despised a college player as much as I genuinely hated J.J. Redick.

Anyway, for me, in person it would have to be Corliss Williamson. I guess I'd say Blake Griffin is up there since I saw him play against Arkansas, but Corliss was an unbelievably good college player.

Blake Griffin for me.The one about the guy that roomed with Matt ten Dam, well, the unnamed big man that was going to turn a really good team into a title team?

Yeah, it's good stuff. The best part is that Matt ten Dam was TERRIBLE. I always refer fellow Purdue fans when they pull the "Purdue's a good school! Guys actually have to go to class here! blah blah blah" stuff. If you're a jock at any big school you're unofficially majoring in your sport.
